Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam has regained the number one position in the ICC ODI batsmen’s rankings as Shubman Gil drops to the second spot after being ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa.
Babar Azam is on first position with 824 rating points while Gill is on the second position with 810 points. Virat Kohli is third with 775 points.
Babar’s poor performance in the Perth Test, in which Pakistan was defeated by 360 runs, has seen him drop from fourth to fifth with 801 rating points on Test rankings. His contributions in the Perth Test included 21 runs in the first innings and 14 runs in the second innings. Kane Williamson continues to lead the Test batsman rankings with 864 rating points.
