  • Yasir Hussain’s family dynamics changed after his parents passed away

Yasir Hussain’s family dynamics changed after his parents passed away

Family dynamics can change a lot after losing loved ones, and Yasir Hussain is no exception to the rule.

The actor has recently talked about the passing of his parents reshaping his perspective on relationships and responsibilities.

Appearing as a guest on Meri Maa, hosted by Noor Ul Hassan, Yasir opened up about the lasting impact of his parents on his life.

The host asked, “Why do we have so much bitterness towards our loved ones here?”

Yasir replied, “I don’t know, but I feel that in our environment, the kind of atmosphere we have, there are many financial struggles and issues. The majority of people are dealing with financial problems. So, as you grow up, your primary concern isn’t about loving your people; it becomes about taking care of them, providing for them. When you enter that mindset of being a provider, you naturally become a bit stricter and more burdened, and that affection can decrease.”

Hussain fondly recalls his father’s approach to parenting, emphasizing a warmth that was always present, saying, “He was the kind of father who would hug and kiss you in the morning, showing love, because he wasn’t caught up in those issues. I believe the relationship he had was unparalleled, he understood that nobody ever starved. That was a remarkable thing.”

The host again asked, “You once mentioned that your mother gave you some advice that included traveling the world. Could you share what her guidance was for you?”

The Taxali Gate actor said, “Yes, my mother told me to get married, but first, travel the world. I didn’t quite understand what she meant by that. She told me to explore before settling down, and then she left for Rawalpindi. Eventually, I realized that traveling the world was crucial, especially since my education wasn’t extensive. I had tried to complete my degree but didn’t succeed. My mother knew that I was earning and working, so she understood that I might not continue my studies. People often say that traveling broadens your exposure, and I found that to be true. Traveling has greatly helped me in writing, acting, and directing. It’s not just about reading books; it’s about meeting people and experiencing life.”

“My mother had a unique way of treating all the children equally, ensuring balance among us. Parents have a special understanding of these dynamics, which is why, after their passing, the first feeling is that the bond they created has shattered. They maintained a certain attitude and exchange of love that kept everyone united. When they are gone, and the harmony is lost, you realize how important that connection was.”

Recently, Wahab Riaz appeared as a guest on Tabish Hashmi’s program Hansana Mana Hai where he criticized the poor performance of the national team.

In the same program, Wahab also shared some funny moments from the dressing room. While telling a story from the past, he said, “Once we were on a tour of New Zealand, and all of us players were eating in Shoaib Akhtar’s room. Bollywood star Katrina Kaif’s famous song Sheila Ka Jawani was playing on TV. Shoaib looked at the screen and said that he knew Katrina and that he was also friends with Katrina.”

Wahab smilingly continued, “Muhammad Hafeez was surprised to hear about Shoaib Akhtar and Katrina Kaif’s friendship, but he could not believe it. Shoaib Akhtar represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, where he forged friendships with Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan and superstar Salman Khan.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman warns of instability if Constitution overlooked

The Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam- Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has warned that failure to adhere to the Constitution will lead the country towards instability and unrest.

Speaking at an event in Karachi, he talked about this year’s general elections, labeling the incumbent constituent assembly a product of the establishment.

Responding to the government’s proposed controversial constitutional amendments, Fazlur Rehman asserted, “Neither the opposition has a draft [of the proposed amendments], nor do the people know about any such document. Here, every institution wants to interfere in the other’s mandate. These can’t be called reforms by any means.”

The head of JUI-F suggested that institutions operate within their own paradigm and strengthen themselves and expressed a wish to see a robust parliament, judiciary, and military.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been a formidable challenge for the government as he resisted the so-called twenty-sixth constitutional amendments despite having only five Senate votes, proving himself to be the decision-maker.

10-year-old pro-Palestine protester arrested in Germany

Videos of multiple members of German police running after and ultimately arresting a 10-year-old protestor holding a Palestinian flag at a Gaza solidarity march have surfaced online, garnering widespread criticism against the country’s anti-Palestine policies.

During a recent pro-Palestine protest in Berlin, a 10-year-old child was detained by police during a crackdown.

Various foreign news agencies reported that the police cracked down on people expressing solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli atrocities in Germany, during which a 10-year-old child was also detained as he was waving the Palestinian flag. While protestors tried to intervene and help the boy, police officers pushed them aside and eventually took the boy into their custody despite him appearing fearful and scared. Fellow protestors then resorted to documenting the arrest on their mobile phones.

The pictures and videos of the detained child went viral on social media, after which netizens condemned the police for harassing and manhandling an innocent child. “More than 9 German police officers arrested a 10-year-old child after chasing him during the pro-Palestine march in Berlin. He is a CHILD!,” a Twitter user pointed out.

Pro Palestine portal Middle East Eye posted the video. However, they asserted that they could not independently confirm the child’s fate or whether he had been released.

Bodies rotting in Khairpur Civil Hospital; Staff infected

Reports from Khairpur have revealed that employees posted in the morgue of Civil Hospital are getting infected amid three rotting dead bodies. The district administration has initiated an inquiry to find facts leading to the situation.

Local journalists have reported that the air-conditioning system in the morgue went out of order, and the facility also ran out of preservers used to store the bodies for a short period before the burial.

Some employees, on condition of anonymity, stated that the hospital’s administration was informed about the situation, but they did not take any action.

The local journalists told Dawn that a visitor shared videos of the ill morgue workers being treated for the infectious disease. Victims reportedly got infected by handling three unclaimed bodies that were swollen and had started rotting.

The morgue’s embalming machines, which prevent bodies from decaying, had reportedly been out-of-order for a long time now.

In one of the videos, a morgue staffer complains that after their colleagues fell ill, they did not bathe and shroud the bodies, which were found infested with decomposing bacteria and insects.

Commissioner Sukkur took notice and asked the medical superintendent (MS) of the Khairpur Civil Hospital to get the matter thoroughly investigated.

A probe committee has been formed to investigate how the air-conditioning system, embalming machines, and other required equipment went out of order. The committee is to submit a report to the MS as soon as possible.

The matter has also been brought to the attention of the provincial chief secretary, and the investigation is underway.

Notably, in one of the recent studies, it was revealed that hospitals are some of the riskiest places to visit, as they are the biggest source of Hepatitis B, C, and HIV infections in Pakistan.

PTI supporters share old rally picture to claim Lahore rally success

In an interesting development yesterday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters shared old pictures of the party rally on social media, alleging that the September 21 Lahore rally was successful.

Many users pointed out that the images being shared by PTI-affiliated accounts are from the 2022 PTI rally and not yesterday.

Journalists, including Sabir Shakir, Tariq Mateen, and Ihtisham ul Haq, shared misleading pictures yesterday claiming that the recent PTI rally has been a political success for the party.

Ihtisham later deleted the picture when he was called out for sharing a fake image.

Interestingly, AFP did a fact-check of a similar matter when PTI-affiliated accounts shared pictures from a 2022 rally to falsely claim that the September 8 rally in Islamabad had a huge number of people.

PTI has conducted two rallies in the country despite immense difficulties including road closures and detention of party workers since the party founder termed the Lahore rally a “do or die” matter.

  • Ali Amin Gandapur’s arrest warrant issued

Ali Amin Gandapur’s arrest warrant issued

An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur over a Federal Judicial Complex vandalism case.

ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, while turning down CM’s bail petition, stated that bail can not be given every time without a justified reason.

The defendant’s lawyer informed the judge that the court should grant “one (more) chance,” assuring that “Ali Amin will [definitely] appear before the court.”

Upon this, Judge Sipra reminded the lawyer that previously, a date for a hearing was fixed according to Gandapur’s availability, but he never showed up.

ATC later adjourned the hearing of the case till October 3.

ATC court also issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for former Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Aamer Mehmood Kiani and PTI leader Raja Rashid Hafeez in a Federal Judicial Complex vandalising case.

On March 18, 2023, PTI workers allegedly pelted stones at the authorities inside the premises of the Federal Judicial Complex during founder PTI Imran Khan’s hearing in court.
