Hasnain in the video said “By now you know about the inning played by Naseem, which he played outstandingly and led Pakistan to victory by repeating the time when Javed Miandad hit a sixer and this time it was our Naseem, our shehzada [prince], our tiger. So this bat that he played with last night was mine and now I’m gifting it to him so he can do whatever he wants with it.”

Woman gave birth to twins from different fathers after having sex with two men on same day

Deemed as a one-in-a-million conception, a 19-year-old Brazilian woman gave birth to twins nine months after having sex with two men on the same day.

As the first birthday of the twins approached the mother began having doubts over who the father of the twins was.

Putting an end to her curiosity, she decided to take a paternity test to confirm her suspicions, local news outlet news outlet Globo reported.
The woman originally suspected only one of the two men to be the father of the twins, so she collected his DNA — but it only turned up positive for one child.

“I remembered that I had had sex with another man and called him to take the test, which was positive,” the new mom, who asked not to be identified, told the outlet. “I was surprised by the results. I didn’t know this could happen. They are very similar.”

Dr. Tulio Jorge Franco, the woman’s attending physician, told local news outlet Globo, “It is possible to happen when two eggs from the same mother are fertilized by different men. The babies share the mother’s genetic material, but they grow in different placentas.”

Dr. Franco admitted he never thought he would see a situation like this in his lifetime as it’s “one in a million” — and claims there are only about 20 other instances in the world like it.

‘Tomorrow jalsa will be last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement’: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced on Friday that he will share the “next critical phase” of his party’s “haqiqi azadi movement” (movement for real freedom) during his Gujranwala rally tomorrow.

“Tomorrow our Gujranwala jalsa will be last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement. I will announce the next critical phase at the jalsa,” tweeted Khan.

Khan claimed that the incumbent government and “its handlers” are “petrified that nation is standing firmly behind PTI” which is why they are moving on a “minus 1 formula”.

Prior to Khan’s tweet, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in a press conference said, “There are attempts being made to knock out Imran Khan politically. FIRs are being registered against him at a time when there are floods in the country,” said Fawad, claiming that the incumbent government does not have a “public mandate”.

Chaudhry said that the government wants to push Imran Khan out of the “political arena”.

“This government is a dummy and real decisions are being made somewhere else. There is only one political party that is in the opposition,” said Fawad, adding that the ECP delayed the elections when there were no floods.

Throwback: Did Rohit Sharma want to become coach of Pakistan’s cricket team?

From wanting to become Pakistan’s cricket team coach to losing against Pakistan, it’s been a long road for Rohit Sharma.

After Pakistan’s thumping victory against India, an odd video of Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma surfaced on social media.

In the video, the reporter asked Rohit, “What would you suggest to Pakistani batsmen so that they come out of this crisis?” Pakistan had just been comprehensively defeated in World Cup 2019 by arch rivals India.

To this, Sharma sarcastically responded by saying, “If I ever become the coach of Pakistan’s team, I will tell them”.

On September 4, Pakistan won against India by five wickets in a do-or-die match of the Asia Cup 2022. Sharma scored 28 runs. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan picked up two wickets for 31 runs, while Mohammad Hasnain, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Muhammad Nawaz took a wicket each.

Prior to this, in another India vs Pakistan match which was played on August 28, Sharma got out after scoring only 12 runs.

In yesterday’s (September 8) match against Afghanistan, Indian cricketer KL Rahul stepped in as captain for the toss. He said that Sharma “wants to take a break”.

Last year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named Rohit Sharma as the new One Day International (ODI) captain of the Indian cricket team. He took over from his predecessor, batting maestro, Virat Kohli.

Bushra Bibi’s closest friend’s case dropped by Anti Corruption Establishment Punjab

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Punjab, has dropped a corruption case against Farah Khan, a close friend of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, reports Geo News.

Farah was accused of getting a 10-acre plot allotted in the Faisalabad Special Economic Zone for only Rs83 million when its actual worth was Rs600 million. A prerequisite was in place for any company interested in buying the plot to have a minimum valuation of Rs. 2 billion.

The Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department issued the order to dismiss the case after former Director-General of ACE l, Rai Manzoor Nasir, declared Farah innocent in the investigation.

In May, Imran Khan said that the cases against Farah were “totally wrong.”

“She [Farah] has been in the real estate business for 20 years,” said Imran Khan.

“It was implied that Farah’s riches grew exponentially during three years […] real estate business has generated a lot of money during the last three years,” he explained.

“They say that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is independent. First of all, I ask NAB, can a case even be built against Farah Khan or not?” Imran questioned.

He said that the term “wealth beyond known sources of income” applies to public office holders only.

In June it was reported that Farah Khan and her husband Ahsan Jameel Gujjar were treated as residents of Imran Khan’s house in Bani Gala, which was declared the official PM House during his tenure.

The records for 44 months showed that Farah alias Gogi and Gujjar’s visits to Bani Gala were not recorded in the registers maintained by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Special Branch. The Special Branch of Islamabad Police controls the entry and exit points of PM House as part of the security provided to the PM.

UN Chief António says climate change has attacked wrong targets

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres has said that Pakistan was one of the countries most severely affected by climate change despite its minimal contribution to the phenomenon.

“Pakistan has had little contribution to climate change but [it] is one of the most dramatically impacted by the consequences of climate change,” Guterres said.

Guterres during a briefing at the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC) alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Secretary General said that there was “no memory of anything similar to what has happened with the impact of climate change in Pakistan”.

    Pakistan needs massive financial support

“The numbers are appalling. But beyond the numbers, I see the families that have lost their loved ones, houses, crops, jobs and are living in desperate conditions,” he expressed.

“Pakistan needs massive financial support to respond to this crisis as according to initial estimates the losses are around $30 billion,” observed Guterres.

“Effective solidarity and justice is shown by mobilising massive support,” the UN chief said.

Nature has attacked the wrong targets

“It is like nature has attacked the wrong targets. Those that are more responsible for climate change should have to face these kind of challenges,” he stated.

Guterres stressed that it is the international community’s obligation to drastically reduce emissions and support countries that need to invest in resilience and recovery.

“My voice is entirely at the service of Pakistan and its people. We know our contribution is limited […] but we are totally committed.”

Challenge is absolutely beyond human capacities, yet humans have to handle it and we are

Speaking at the briefing, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the UN chief’s empathy and support was great encouragement for Pakistan, as he expressed gratitude towards the visiting dignitary.

“The government of Pakistan, along with the provincial governments and all stakeholders […] are working together to provide relief and rescue to millions,” the premier said.

PM Shehbaz said that efforts were underway and flood affectees were being moved to safer areas while also being provided food and shelter. “The challenge is absolutely beyond human capacity, yet humans have to handle it and so we are.”

The prime minister had welcomed the UN secretary general as he arrived at the PM House along with his delegation.

Guterres arrived in the capital during the early hours of Friday. Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi has revealed that the team took sleeping pills after losing Wednesday’s high stakes game to Pakistan.

Afghanistan started Asia Cup 2022 with back to back wins in group stage against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. However, in the Super Four stage, they lost all their matches.

After the toss against India on Thursday, Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi revealed that after losing to Pakistan, his team mates left the ground right after the match. They had green tea and took sleeping pills after reaching the hotel.

“Left the ground straight after the team talk, had green tea, and then took some sleeping pills! [laughs] All round the boys have played really well,” Nabi said after winning the toss against India on Thrusday.

Pumped up for the win, the Afghan players watched the game slip out of their hands as Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah hit two back to back maximums in the first two balls of the last over and took the match away from them.

Prince Philip body to be moved next to Queen, was kept in a vault till her death

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth’s husband of 73 years, will be buried next to the monarch’s grave once she is interred at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The Duke of Edinburgh’s coffin has been temporarily resting in the Royal Vault within St. George’s Chapel since almost 18 months.

Prince Philip’s funeral took place on April 17, 2021, amid a virulent wave of the pandemic. The service was attended by a limited number of people due to Covid restrictions. A poignant picture of the Queen sitting alone in the church went viral after the service, showcasing how the monarch followed the rules set by the government.

Prince Philip was privately interred in the Royal Vault of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The internment, however, was temporary, as following royal tradition, he was to be interred with his wife. His remains are still at the Royal Vault.

The Queen will be buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel within St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and her husband Philip will be transferred to be by her side. The memorial chapel was built by Queen Elizabeth in 1969 as an addition to St. George’s Chapel especially to house the grave of her late father, King George VI, whose body was also placed in the Royal Vault for 17 years. Fifty years after his death, his wife’s coffin and his younger daughter, Princess Margaret, ashes were also interred with him.

In the past few centuries, St. George’s Chapel, has become the preferred burial ground for the Royal family. Before St. George’s, most royals were buried at Westminster Abbey. Among other members of the royals, the chapel houses the graves of Henry VIII, his wife Jane Seymour, King George VI, Princess Margaret, Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary of Teck.

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, breathed her last on Thursday in Balmoral Castle, United Kingdom (UK) at the age of 96.
