Facebook has decided to lock Facebook accounts that did not activate the ‘Facebook Protect’ feature. Facebook has sent e-mails to all its users, however, many of them did not respond to it.
Many users have received e-mails with the subject, “Your account requires advanced security from Facebook Protect.”
In the e-mail, Facebook sent a link and requested users to click the link and activate ‘Facebook Protect’ for more protection. It also warned if users did not activate this feature, users would not have access to their profile after the deadline, March 17.
However, some users did not respond to it at all as they considered it a spam message.
According to Facebook, this feature is “a program designed for people that are likely to be highly targeted by malicious hackers, including human rights defenders, journalists, and government officials.”
Facebook sent emails through security@facebookmail.com. As the deadline to activate ‘Facebook Protect’ passed, many users have lost access to their accounts.
Some users have been facing issues to turn on the feature, ‘Facebook Protect’.
I got locked out from Facebook indefinitely today because I didn’t respond to emails from FB (that looked like a scam) about its new Facebook Protect system, which I was required to enable by today. So far, the text and security key options don’t work, many report. pic.twitter.com/0aXbiqzLv7
Musician Rohail Hyatt jumped in a Twitter conversation about the emotions felt by women during PMS/period. While sharing his opinion on the emotional and physical changes felt by women, Hyatt said that “acceptance helps”.
“Very important to understand and realise the subconscious aspect of this sadness. Since at our root layer, survival of our species is our primary function, shedding an unused egg post ovulation triggers a deep ‘missed opportunity’ emotion wave. Acceptance helps,” wrote Rohail Hyatt while replying to a particular tweet about PMS/period.

YouTube vlogger from Scotland, Dale Philip, recently visited Karachi’s Seaview beach. As per Philip, he was ‘cheated’ by horsemen there. Darakhshan police detained the horseman, and a picture of one of the horsemen was shared by Philip on his Twitter.
“He tried to earn a living by cheating people, but now he’s living behind metal bars thanks to Karachi Police. Hopefully, he learns there’s no need to cheat foreign tourists. Most will give extra payment if they were shown a good experience and treated in an honest way,” he wrote while sharing the picture.

#Arrest | Karachi Police has arrested three horsemen within 3 hour, after a video gone viral on social media. They misbehaved with a tourist Dale Philip at sea view. Arrested accused persons apologizes from the Tourist for his behaviour.@DMCSindhPolice@Daleroxxupic.twitter.com/9BxJGvaT8n
Philip made a YouTube vlog on how he was “scammed”. The summary of the scam, as per Philip, was that the horsemen asked him to pay Rs 5,000 for a ride after agreeing to the ride for only Rs 200.
“It was very quiet, with it being a Friday. As soon as I entered the beach, two guys on horses sprinted towards me. I had planned on taking a horse or camel ride at some point so I negotiated a price of 200 rupees with one of them for a ride to the Chunky Monkey amusement park. He didn’t take me to Chunky Monkey, though. He took me down to the water and then handed me off to another guy on a horse. I felt like I was getting scammed in some way. Maybe they were going to ask for double the money because the second guy was taking me for a second ride or something. He was taking me towards Chunky Monkey, which is where I wanted to go though. As I rode with this guy, I tried to reconfirm the price with him, so there would be no disputes afterwards. He made it clear that 200 was for, what he called ‘one ride’, and that I’d have to pay for multiple rides. I immediately asked him to stop and said I’d walk the remaining distance but he refused to stop. Not only would he not let me get off the horse but did a u-turn and took me back to where I started the ride. I was screaming at him telling him that was not the way I wanted to go but he made the excuse that if he takes the horse back himself without a rider that the two horses would fight. After finally getting off the horse, the two scammers asked me for Rs5,000. As if I was just going to give them 25 times the price that we had agreed. How stupid did they think I was.”

People on social media are not happy with Dale Philip’s tweet and video.
Dale Philip has 858K YouTube subscribers. Here he is celebrating the misery of a poor brown person who tried to ‘scam’ a few hundred rupees off him. The video of the ‘scam’ on YouTube has 450K+ views. Mr. Philip is blind to his own privilege & gets a kick out of class warfare. https://t.co/lH1YndQpRj
Punishing someone beyond the scope of law is in itself an offence. You should also be behind bars with him for violating his dignity guaranteed under Article 14 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. And don’t get me started on history or cheating. Can be problematic. https://t.co/JFgUpXOAeJ
Do you have any ounce of shame and humanity left? If tourism means white people treating locals living below poverty line like this, we are better off. https://t.co/Xz9sdIofeC
Disgusting. You’re underpaying for everything, traveling cheaply and living large. Don’t go to third world countries as a rich foreigner if you don’t expect to pay higher prices and be occasionally swindled. Consider it a tax. https://t.co/zMnjsF6akD

The US dollar reached an all-time high against the Pakistani rupee on Tuesday, soaring to Rs182.50 in the open market, reports Samaa News. In the inter-market, the rupee reached Rs181.35 against the US dollar during the intra-day trade. The devaluation in the rupee has been seen despite a decrease in the current account deficit.
The current political situation in the country is said to be one of the reasons behind the increase in the value of the dollar against the local currency. In addition, concerns about the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is also a possible reason behind the devaluation. There has been no progress in Pakistan and the IMF’s seventh review talks for the release of the next loan tranche. The IMF expressed reservations about the PM’s relief package.
Despite market expectations, the declining current account deficit failed to entice investors, and the currency continued to fall to new lows.

Three men attacked Assistant Commissioner Marvi Malik Sher near Ghazi Kot in Mansehra last week. The hooligans also attempted to assault the assistant commissioner by pulling her out of her vehicle, injuring both her and the guard. Some onlookers rescued them and handed the three men over to the police.
Zoha Malik, sister of Marvi Malik, has alleged that her sister was attacked because of her gender. “Some ruffians tried to attack my sister Marvi Malik Sher last evening for being a female officer. It’s the 21st century and women in leadership posts are still an anomaly to sick and prejudiced, patriarchy-ridden mindsets in our country,” Zoha Malik wrote in a tweet.

National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned a session of the lower house of parliament on March 25. The NA session will be held at the Parliament House on Friday at 11am. The 14-day constitutional deadline to convene the NA session on the Opposition’s requisition will expire on March 21 (today).
Sources told the media that the session will offer fateha for PTI MNA Haji Khayal Zaman who recently passed away, after which the Speaker has the “discretionary power” to continue or adjourn the session.

Opposition parties on Sunday slammed Qaiser for not convening the assembly session within 14 days of its requisition, demanding that he should be tried under Article 6 of the Constitution.
Acc to Art.54 of the Constitution, the NA should have convened today. By convening the session on March 25, the speaker has violated the constitution. There is no provision in the Constitution for the session to be convened late due to “renovation” of the Parliament building.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed hope that the Supreme Court would take notice of the violation of the Constitution by the Speaker.
“This coward captain [the PM] is running away from the vote of no confidence. He is escaping to the extent that he has made the speaker abrogate the Constitution,” said Bilawal.
Article 6 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan states, “Any person who abrogates or subverts or suspends or holds in abeyance, or attempts or conspires to abrogate or subvert or suspend or hold in abeyance, the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by any other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason.”
The second clause adds that any person aiding, abetting, or collaborating in the acts will also be considered guilty of high treason.
Clause 2A says that an act of high treason cannot be validated by any court, including the Supreme Court (SC) and a High Court.”
