    Nawaz Sharif’s grandson Junaid is getting married in England without his parents

    The date has been announced and the Nikkah invite has been sent out. Junaid Safdar, the son of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Capt (r) Safdar, will be getting married to Ayesha, the daughter of former National Accountability Chairman, Saif-ur-Rehman.

    According to reports, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (R) Safdar will not be attending the Nikkah ceremony.

    Maryam Nawaz has tweeted about not being able to attend her son’s wedding due to her name being on the Exit Control List.

    The wedding invite states that the wedding is on Sunday, August 22 at 6PM. The Nikkah is taking place at a fancy hotel in London, called The Lanesborough.

    The hotel is reputably one of the most expensive in London, situated near Hyde Park.

    Since the wedding invite states that the event is the Nikkah, it is being speculated that the rukhsati will not take place until Junaid’s parents can be in attendance.

    Maryam also tweeted that she was unable to see her mother before she died and now she has to miss her son’s wedding.

  • Noor Mukadam reportedly raped before murder, forensic report

    The forensic report prepared by Punjab Forensic Agency has revealed that Zahir Jaffer raped and tortured Noor before murdering her, SAMAA has reported. The report has been submitted to the Islamabad police.

    As per Punjab Forensic Agency the CCTV footage obtained from Zahir Jaffer’s house showed both him and Noor Mukadam in the same premises and Jaffer’s fingerprints were present on the murder weapon.

    Postmortem examination of Noor’s dead body was conducted 12 hours after her murder.

    Earlier, Investigators in Noor Mukadam’ s murder case who are checking the call logs of Zahir’s mother — Asmat Jaffer , revealed that Asmat called the head of Trillium Information Security Systems, a private Rawalpindi-based security firm, several times on the day of Noor’s gruesome murder on July 20, reports Zahid Gishkori for The News.

    According to the World University Ranking, Islamia University of Bahawalpur is not in the top 1000 universities but is in the list of 1001+ universities.

    Furthermore, CM Buzdar said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is among the top nine universities in Pakistan.

    Police have arrested a man for wearing a costume mask and frightening citizens.

    The Yakatoot police received complaints about a motorcyclist riding around the streets with a scary mask to frighten pedestrians. The police traced and detained the man after complaints

    Naila Inayat, a journalist, shared a video of the man behind the bars. “This guy arrested in Peshawar had plans to celebrate Independence Day by scaring people. Apparently, the police wasn’t much impressed. He was caught in his scary mask,” she wrote in a tweet.

    Journalist Iftikhar Firdous tweeted, “Peshawar police and masks don’t get along.”

    Firdous was referring to a man who was wearing a ‘wolf mask’ in Peshawar on New Year’s Eve and was arrested by the Peshawar police for “trying to scare off people” in the provincial capital.

    Pakistan celebrates National Minority Day today, remembering the contribution of minorities in the progress of Pakistan.

    August 11 marks the day to reaffirm our founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision that despite belonging to different faiths, we are one nation.

    Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tweeted, “Let Quaid e Azam’s historic speech of August 11 1947 resonate & let us unite to honour spirit & sanctity of his words. Celebrating the white in our flag.”

    Qureshi also shared a video message.

    Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari tweeted that August 11 is a reaffirmation of the vision of Quaid-e-Azam.

    Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry tweeted, “Reopening of the mandir in Rahim Yar Khan on August 11 signifies the importance government attaches to rights of minorities, respect for religious beliefs is our core policy.”
