    Government blames Nawaz Sharif for PM Khan’s phone hacking

    Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib, said that when Prime Minister Imran Khan’s phone was being hacked through Pegasus spyware, it was Nawaz Sharif’s government.

    Farrukh made this statement after The Guardian reported that the Indian government targeted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s phone for surveillance.

    Farrukh further added that while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was busy hacking the phones of his Opposition, who knows, Nawaz Sharif might have sought Modi’s help for some other purposes as well.

    “We will not allow them [Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi] to remain silent on these issues,” added Farrukh.

    Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr Shahbaz Gill tweeted, “Maryam Safdar kept speaking against Imran Khan. Today, the international media has once again exposed the nexus between her [Maryam Nawaz’s] father and Israel.”

    NCOC Eid ul Azha guidelines: Sacrifice is not allowed at home
    
			
    The National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced numerous guidelines for Eid ul Azha, which will be celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday, in Pakistan. The NCOC has recommended that no Qurbani should be allowed at home/residential areas, reported Samaa. 
    

    The government has requested the public to follow all the precautionary measures as the country is heading towards the fourth wave of coronavirus.
    

    The Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding Qurbani include: 
    

    Provinces to initiate awareness campaigns to educate people on the spread of the virus during meat distribution.
    

    Religious leaders told to encourage collective Qurbani.
    

    The skin of sacrificed animals will not be given to banned organisations.
    

    Minimum persons to be allowed at the Qurbani site.
    

    Last week, Special Assistant to the PM on Health, Dr Faisal Sultan stated that it is mandatory to wear masks and maintain distance from the crowds even for unvaccinated individuals.

    Residents of Hyderabad, Sindh are protesting after a 32-year-old woman, Qaratul Ain Baloch was killed by her husband on July 15.
    

    The hashtag ‘Justice for Qarat-ul-Ain’ has been the top trend on Twitter since Saturday night.
    

    As per reports, Baldia Police have arrested Omar Memon, husband of the deceased and son of former Sindh Irrigation Secretary Khalid Haider Memon, on the charge of murder and remanded him till July 22.
    

    The initial post-mortem report of Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad showed the victim was severely tortured before being murdered.
    

    The report stated that the victim was choked to death, but a pathology report has not been released yet, which will determine the exact cause of death.
    

    Speaking to Independent Urdu, the victim’s brother, Sanaullah Baloch said, “Looking at the post-mortem report and the condition of my sister’s body, I thought, how can a person do such violence to another person?”
    

    “After this incident, I now think that I should not marry my daughters. The daughters are not a burden to hand them over to beasts.”
    

    He said that her sister had been beaten several times by her husband over the past 10 years and that he had reported him to the police for domestic violence. He had also been arrested once but the family did not file for divorce due to societal pressure. 
    

    “Now people ask why we did not ask for a divorce when there was violence. But no one asks the sister’s father-in-law that why was he quiet when he knew that his son used to abuse his wife so much.”
    

    Sanaullah Baloch claimed that after the murder, the attitude of the police was intolerable when he contacted the police to register an FIR. The police made him believe that they were trying to register a false FIR.
    

    He said that his sister’s father-in-law Khalid Haider Memon said that I will get my son released based on my connections even if you register an FIR.
    “I do not think we can get justice in this country. I am grateful to the civil society for helping us in registering the case but I do not know whether justice will be served or not.”
    

    Speaking to Independent Urdu, Saima, lawyer of accused Omar Memon, said: “There is no truth in the statement of Sanaullah Baloch that Khalid Haider Memon came home and said that he will get his son released.”
    

    According to the lawyer: “The FIR that has been lodged states domestic violence but it does not appear that the murder was due to violence.
    

    “Every wife and husband fight these days. She may have slipped which caused her death, but we can only draw conclusions after a final police investigation.”
    

    Hyderabad City ASP Alina Rajpar, who is investigating the case, said, “Police registered an FIR with the consent of the victim’s family. Everything they said was written in the complaint.”

    Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz responded to Jemima Goldsmith’s tweet where she called out Maryam for her anti-semitic comments regarding her sons.

    “I [Maryam] have better things to do and say, but if your ex [Imran Khan] drags in families of others out of spite, others will have nastier things to say,” responded Maryam Nawaz.
    

    She further wrote, “You have only your ex to blame.”
    

    Jemima Khan on Tuesday had lashed out against Maryam Nawaz for saying that her [Jemima’s] children were “being raised in the lap of the Jews”. She said that she left Pakistan 17 years ago, “after a decade of antisemitic attacks by the media and politicians (and weekly death threats and protests outside my house). But still it continues.”

    A cricket fan who invaded the pitch during Pakistan’s second T20 against England at Headingley has complained he was beaten very badly by the security guards.
    

    Speaking to Geo News from the accident and emergency unit of the Oldham Hospital, Muhammad Ayshaam, 25, said he wanted to have fun and get a selfie with the closest player Adil Rashid when storming the pitch towards the end of the match.
    

    Live scenes showed Ayshaam storming the pitch by dodging at least five security guards on his way, making it straight to Rashid, pausing there for three seconds to attempt a selfie and then running back to the stands, successfully dodging the security men chasing to get hold of him.
    

    

    


    

    

    

    Thousands of cricket fans cheered and clapped as Ayshaam flipped his way back to the crowd and ran up the stands to melt into the crowd, while the security men continued their chase.
    

    But Ayshaam, who works in a warehouse and was carrying a “free Palestine” flag with him when invading the pitch, says he was beaten “very badly” by the security guards. As he was running out, an English fan stuck his leg out to drop him and then two Pakistani security guards tried to grab him and Ayshaam dodged them too.
    Then four to five security guards chased him and one of them tackled Ayshaam on the ground.
    

    

    


    

    

    

    “I fell on the concrete with full force. I have deep cuts on [my] left elbow and on both hands. I couldn’t stand when they tripped and pushed me. They also dragged me even when I requested to sit down on [the] floor. My left foot was in so much pain. I couldn’t stand and they carried on dragging and pushing me,” he said while talking to Geo News.
    

    The English Cricket Board (ECB) and other sporting managements have declared that invading pitches by fans is unacceptable and those involved in anti-social behaviour will be dealt with the full force of regulations and laws.

    All you need to do is add flour and water to the meat and mix it to coat evenly. Leave it for at least one to two hours. Then wash the meat with normal water.
    

    One member’s mother told us to wash the meat with lukewarm water and salt to get rid of the smell.

    In a series of comments against the children of leaders, Jemima Khan spoke out against PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz for saying that her children were “being raised in the lap of the Jews”.     Her comments came after Maryam Nawaz lashed out at PM Khan for mentioning her son. Commenting on Nawaz Sharif’s grandson Junaid Safdar’s pictures of playing a polo match in London, PM Khan said, “This grandson who is playing polo in Britain […] I’ve met so many Kashmiris in London and Manchester, ask them what kind of person can play polo there.”
    

    “You need a lot of money to keep a horse and play polo. So tell us where this dear grandson got this money from. It’s your [the people’s] money!” he told the crowd.
    

    

    


    

    

    

    The next day, Maryam addressed his comments about her son in her speech and said, “[Junaid] is now the polo team captain and is increasing Pakistan’s respect [abroad]. [Imran] says ‘that grandson’ is going abroad and playing polo, he doesn’t even spare children,” she jibed. “He says, ‘where did he get the money to play polo’.
    

    “I didn’t want to bring children into it, but the way you’re talking, you’re going to get a befitting reply,” she said.
    

    “He’s Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, not Goldsmith’s. He’s Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, he’s not being raised in the lap of Jews,” added Maryam.
    

    Jemima’s reply to Maryam came after referring to an article on how politicians need to keep children out of politics.
