    Yumna Zaidi will not defend ‘Tere Bin’ or her role in it

    Famous actress Yumna Zaidi appeared at the ZAB Media Festival where she talked about her popular drama series ‘Tere Bin’.

    During the Q&A session at the event, a journalist asked Yumna about defending critiques of her portrayal of a rude girl in ‘Tere Bin’.

    Yumna responded confidently. “I feel that ‘Tere Bin’ is the most-watched drama of the Pakistan entertainment industry, so I do not need to defend it or my character. If the drama had a name but people were not watching it, then I would promote it. So, the answer is based on the viewership and viewers.”

    ‘Tere Bin’, now returning for a second season, after transcending geographical borders and was deemed the most watched Pakistani drama in India as well. Its popularity stemmed from audiences captivated by the story of Meerab, an ambitious woman, whose life is transformed after marrying the dominating Murtasim, played by Wahaj Ali.

    “It is an honour for me if they have compared me to leading actors Fawad Khan and Vicky Kaushal, who are both excellent actors. If they are comparing me with them, what more could a man ask for? If they see Shah Rukh Khan’s romance in my eyes, then it is a success, and Vicky is my brother, we have worked together.     The Kalash Valley is celebrating the yearly spring festival for five days.

    The Kalash people are celebrating their annual Chilam Joshi holiday in the Rumbur valley of Chitral. The festival began on May 13 and will end today, May 16 2024.
    The Kalasha village commemorates this event annually, which marks the advent of spring.

    It is a major part of the cultural heritage of the area and draws tourists from all over the world.
    Men wear traditional Shalwar Kameez with woolen waistcoats, while women wear brightly colored traditional clothing embellished with gold and silver pieces and elaborate headdresses.

    Men and women from Kalash dance and sing in a circle while drum beats create a rhythm.

    The Kalashi people share milk with their loved ones as a kind of prayer for the protection of their farms and livestock during this holiday.
    The event, which drew a wide range of attendees, including foreign tourists as well as officials from the district administration and tourism office, was scheduled across three days.

    For the festival, the district government made sure there were enough security measures in place, and the Tourism Police assisted guests.

    The event, which features customary dances and ceremonies, is a joyful and exciting occasion. The Kalash people will then move their livestock to higher pastures.

    “Like most people, my weight goes up and down,” began Dolly. “Being naturally skinny, I tend to lose weight easily, and it’s hard to gain it back.”

    Dolly added that she no longer worries about what others say about her weight, “I love my body in every state because it supports me. I grew up despising my body, hating every bit of it, so this…this is growth.”

    Even though she’s come to terms with her body, Dolly noted that not everyone around her was as understanding, so she set boundaries for her mental well-being. “The other day, as I was about to see someone, I decided against it because I realised they’re not my safe space,” she wrote.

    Dolly explained that she had distanced herself from people and places that didn’t make her feel loved and accepted. She urged her fans and followers to be the change others needed to see. “If you could do something today, try to be someone’s safe space,” she encouraged in her post. “And count your own blessings from people in your life who don’t care about the kilos fluctuating but the smiles on your face.”

    Moved by Dolly’s powerful words, Hania wrote, “It takes a lot of courage to face your fears and insecurities, turn every mean comment into your armor, and try to give your community something positive out of the negativity you received. You’re a queen! Thank you for this strong message!”

    Dolly Singh then reshared this on her Instagram story and wrote, “Hania you’re a queen.”

If I play too much of the same thing, I stop enjoying it. I think comedy feels like a paid vacation. Serious characters can be draining.”

    Faysal also shared how he keeps his personal and acting life separate, especially after playing intense roles. He said, “By the time I go home, I’ve already forgotten the day’s dialogues and I don’t know the next day’s either. If we need to reshoot scenes, the set assistants remind me that we just shot the same scene yesterday, but I don’t remember. I still ask to read the script.”

    The rumor that former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar threatened to kidnap Indian actress Sonali Bendre if she didn’t marry him has resurfaced online. During a podcast promoting her latest show, Bendre was reminded of Akhtar’s alleged crush on her. She responded, “I don’t know how true this is. Fake news existed even then!”

    In 2019, Akhtar was reported to have said, “If she [Bendre] doesn’t marry me, I’ll kidnap her!” He later used his YouTube channel to deny the statement, calling it completely false. Bendre, surprised by the rumor, joked, “Thank God for that. Maybe that has made my career!”
    Akhtar also addressed claims in 2019 that he carried a picture of Bendre in his wallet and wanted to marry her. He firmly denied all allegations, saying, “I never met Sonali Bendre. I’ve seen her in films, and she is indeed beautiful, but I’ve not been a fan.”

    He praised Bendre’s bravery in fighting cancer, saying, “I became her fan when she showed how bravely she struggled against her illness. But, my brother, I had nothing to do with her. These are all lies.”
