Hollywood star Will Smith is reading the Holy Quran

Hollywood superstar and Oscar winner has talked about finding comfort in spirituality and reading the Quran during tough times in the last two years. In a recent interview, the 55-year-old A-lidter shared that he’s fond of spiritual practices and faced challenges that made him reflect on his inner self.

During this tough period, Smith explored various holy books, including the Quran.
He said, “I read the Quran from cover to cover during the month of Ramazan this year.” Smith expressed admiration for the Quran’s simplicity and clarity, finding it easy to understand without confusion.
He was particularly moved by the stories of Prophet Musa mentioned in the Quran. Smith highlighted the common thread running through different holy books, from the Torah to the Bible to the Quran, emphasizing their connection.
Asked about how he raises his children, the American actor said, “My youngest son is now 23-years-old, and yet I am still working on raising them.

“I thought that raising children would end at the age of 21, but it has just begun. All of my children are in their twenties, except for the eldest, who is 31.
Their relationships have become more serious, and therefore they always need advice and help more than ever before.”
Smith emphasized the importance of the concept that “every soul is responsible for itself” in the Quran, which he believes helps in raising his children and understanding them, as they will ultimately be responsible for themselves.
Furthermore, Smith added that reading the Holy Book relieved him of his worries.

Smith also expressed his love for Saudi Arabia. “I went on a tour of the NEOM project, saw the city of Jeddah, and made two trips to Riyadh and this was my third visit to Saudi Arabia. I enjoy my life here and feel like I belong here.”

  • Rabya Kulsoom: Aurat March seems to be about hating men

Rabya Kulsoom: Aurat March seems to be about hating men

Actress Rabya Kulsoom was a guest on the FHM podcast where she discussed the feminist movement Aurat March. She shared that feminist movements in Pakistan, such as Aurat March, aren’t addressing the key issues faced by Pakistani women, straying from the original goal of feminism. “Aurat March isn’t about hating men. It’s about making sure all women have rights. Like your daughter being able to go to school, work, and be independent. But now, Aurat March and our idea of feminism seem to be about hating men. Not taking care of your husband, not helping him find his clothes, or not serving him food – is that really feminism?”

Rabya went on to say that instead of what’s happening now, Aurat March should talk more about things like domestic violence and encourage women to read their nikkahnama. “This is what feminism is about,” she said. “I support Aurat March, but I wonder where it’s heading. Some of the signs I’ve seen online made me feel like I can’t be part of this.”

The actress from ‘Mujhay Pyar Hua Tha’ said it’s lost its way. Instead of promoting equality for everyone, it’s spreading hate against men.
“The ones who really need feminism aren’t getting the support they need,” said the actress. “If a guy sees a sign saying ‘Find your socks yourself,’ he won’t understand what feminism truly means. Instead, he might end up treating his wife badly.”

“Stop using slogans like ‘Pick up your own sock’ or ‘Heat up your own food’ because feminism is much bigger and more complicated than that.

On International Women’s Day, Indian tennis star Sania Mirza opened up about her struggles in an interview with Rupha Ramani on Firstpost. She talked about her journey, from the highs and lows of her career to life after retiring.

Mirza reflected on retiring from tennis, saying, “I think I’ll lose my mind if I’m not busy, to be very honest. That’s how my life has been and, actually, one of the thoughts I had when I was retiring was like ‘oh my god’ and so many people would ask me, what are you gonna do now, and I had no plan and I was like ‘I actually don’t know.’”

Despite thinking she might slow down after retiring, Mirza found herself keeping busy with different things like the Women’s Premier League and covering the French Open. She’s grateful for living her dream, saying, “There’s a very few handful of people in this world who get to live their dream. And I feel very fortunate that I was able to do that.”

Mirza stressed the importance of loving what you do, not just for the money. “Nobody wakes up in the morning and says, I’m going to start this career. I want to do it so I can make a lot of money. That cannot be the sole goal for anybody.”

She also talked about the challenges of fame and scrutiny, saying, “It’s been very hard. Playing and succeeding or failing or whatever it is at what you do on a personal level is hard enough. When you put a public platform in it, you put media scrutiny in it…there’s so many things that go along with it.”

Mirza discussed growing up in the public eye, saying, “I became Sania Mirza when I was 16… I’ve lived more years as a known person to the world.” She emphasized the importance of being real and embracing imperfections in a world where social media plays a big role.
