Filmmaker Barry Jenkins has officially announce Mufasa: The Lion King, a new prequel to the 2019 film Lion King.
Originally announced in 2020 as a sequel to the 2019 film, Mufasa tells the origin story of the iconic Disney father, exploring his childhood growing up with his brother Scar. The film will feature the voice of Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as younger versions of the characters, filling in for James Earl Jones as Mufasa in both the 1994 original and the 2019 CGI remake, and Jeremy Irons and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Scar.
In addition to announcing the title, exclusive preview footage of the film was shown to the audience of the D23 expo. The footage began with Rafiki (John Kani) telling the story of Mufasa to young cubs, revealing that the lion was actually an orphaned cub who had to navigate the world alone until he rose to become the king of Pride Rock. As such, the film goes beyond the iconic Pride Lands to show him as a cub in a desert, where he is swept away by a flood and becomes an orphan.
“In this place a lion was born without a drop of nobility in his blood,” Rafiki narrates. “The lion who would change our lives forever.”
Although brief, the footage also included narration from Billy Eichner’s Timon, in a meta joke tag for the footage: “Wait wait wait, am I not in this story? I don’t feel seen.”
“The Lion King” is one of the most beloved Disney properties of all time, with the original remaining a critically acclaimed classic and grossing over $960 million worldwide. The 2019 remake, which replaced the 2D artstyle of the original with realistic CGI animal renderings, received mixed reviews from critics but was even more successful, grossing over $1 billion at the global box office.
Mufasa will be Jenkins third feature film, after directing the Oscar-winning Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk . The release date for the film has not yet been announced.
Pakistani cricketer Naseem Shah has broken his silence on the transnational attention for his performance during the Asia Cup 2022 series.
Naseem has reacted to the attention that he is garnering from Bollywood divas, “People keep sending me videos, but I have no idea about all this and I don’t know who Urvashi is. Whoever comes to the ground to watch me play, thanks to them. It’s good for me if people like me and come to the stadium to see me play, as I haven’t come from other worlds. Thank God people like me.”
In the video she posted on her Instagram story, Rautela could be seen grinning and blushing. Coincidentally, Naseem was captured smiling during the same Pakistan vs. India game; as a result, a fan combined the moments in an edited video clip.
Many people praised the star pacer including Indian actress Urvashi Rautela. Urvashi shocked fans by sharing a romantic fan edit featuring her and Naseem with Atif Aslam’s song in the background.
American supermodel Bella Hadid has revealed that she wept “every day” and was stricken with eating disorders and chronic anxiety as a teen before she shot to fame as a model.
In an interview with i-D magazine, the 25-year-old opened up about her youth as she said that she was smoking heavily from the age of 14 and suffered body dysmorphia after she found success, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“Growing up, I thought it was normal that I had this chronic anxiety and this disassociation, crying every day and not knowing who I was,” Bella Hadid recalled.
“Whether it was eating disorders or smoking a pack of Marlboros since the age of 14, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is what all of the kids are doing’. I realised that maybe that was me trying to figure out why I felt that way. And in reality, all I needed was therapy.”
Hadid went on to talk about struggling with body dysmorphia in her early days as a model. “During that part of my life, I was so out of body, disassociating so much… I was so confused by what people saw of me,” the younger sister of model Gigi Hadid added.
Bella Hadid is now getting ready to make her acting debut in series ‘Ramy’, which tells of a first-generation American-Muslim is torn between his family’s traditional and modern American culture.
Bella Hadid said about revelling in her Palestinian heritage during the shooting.
“To go onto a set and see multiple Palestinians, Arabs, and people that are cut from the same cloth as me was really, really beautiful.”
She added about her belief speaking out for Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict with Israel previously costing her work. “A few companies won’t work with me anymore, and a few people may think I’m crazy. But that doesn’t bother me and it doesn’t compare to what Palestinians suffer on a daily basis.”
Earlier this year she admitted to regretting her decision to get a nose job at the age of 14. The beauty standards in the modelling industry have always been controversial for promoting unrealistic body types. Hadid, who has opened up about her anxiety and depression previously, speaks about her cosmetic surgery, and how she felt while being compared to her older sister Gigi Hadid.
Both Bella and Gigi have become big names in the fashion industry. The sisters have modelled for many big luxury brands like Chanel, Givenchy, Versace, Dior, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and more. They have also been on several magazine covers.
As exciting it may seem, being a fashion model comes with its own cons, and Bella Hadid has certainly faced them. During an interview with Vogue, Bella detailed her struggles with body image and mental health. She further admitted feeling “ugly” and “uncool” in comparison to Gigi Hadid. “People think I fully f*cked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” she said.
“I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors. I think I would have grown into it,” Bella added. She then went on to talk about being compared to Gigi Hadid. “I was the uglier sister. I was the brunette. I wasn’t as cool as Gigi, not as outgoing,” she said. “When you get told things so many times, you do just believe it. I always ask myself, how did a girl with incredible insecurities, anxiety, depression, body-image issues, eating issues, who hates to be touched, who has intense social anxiety – what was I doing getting into this business?” Bella continued.
While the fashion industry can be harsh, so can be the fans and netizens who reacted to Bella admitting to getting a nose job. People on Twitter are now criticising Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, for allowing the model to get nose surgery at such a young age.
In 2021, Scientists ‘measured’ that Bella is the most beautiful woman in the world. The 24-year-old was found to be 94.35 percent ‘accurate’ to the Golden Ratio of Beauty.
The list was compiled back in 2019 using computerized mapping techniques by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, who utilises the technology in his work.
Bella’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the Greeks’ idea of perfection.
Singer Beyoncé, 39, was second, coming in with a 92.44 percent match-up to those standards, while actress Amber Heard, 33, was third with 91.85 percent and pop star Ariana Grande, 26, was fourth with 91.81 percent.
De Silva said Bella Hadid holds the crown for the most beautiful woman in the world.
Singer Nouman Javed, who is currently a contestant of the reality show, Tamasha, has opened up about his unsuccessful marriages and illnesses.
When co-contestant Sehr Baig asked about his relationship status, the singer responded, “I am single right now and happy, currently, it has gotten a bit confusing for a while as I have some proposals and I am taking my time, they want to marry me, a few friends are thinking about me but I am afraid of taking decision because I am scared now, I have been bitten twice, actually, I have been bitten way too many times, I had been married twice but I understand that companionship is important in life, it keeps you normal.”
Prior to his split with Feriha, he stated in the media, “I don’t mind sharing personal things at all, also my news reached out to the world, one of my wife was a very popular singer (Feriha Pervez) and the other one was relatively famous actress (Jana Malik), well, I have learnt one thing about my self that I hold that Messiah complex, like the role of me being protector is there, I become too helpful but not every crying eye needs protection or help, a few people make it habit to play victim card.”
Nouman said he battled depression. “I was in depression for quite some time before finally attempting suicide. I was facing issues in life but I wish to make it clear that my marriage has not ended yet,” he said, referring to hearsay of his falling out with wife, singer Fariha Parvez.
“Secondly, Fariha was not the only reason behind my depression; there were a number of other things involved,” Nouman shared.
The talented singer also talked about his health when many noticed that his hands shake while doing anything.
Taking in stride the query he said, “My hands shiver since my childhood, I think, I have Parkinson’s disease, my hands do shiver, its a disease my organs would die down slowly and gradually, Robin Williams also had this disease, but, I am cool with it.”
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, becomes King Charles’s Queen Consort, in a remarkable journey to public acceptance after she became a hate figure for her perceived role in the break-up of his marriage to princess Diana.
For years, Camilla was vilified as the marriage-wrecker who shattered Britain’s fairy-tale royal love story.
Diana famously complained in a bombshell BBC television interview in 1995 that “there were three of us in this marriage” — her, Charles and Camilla, his long-time lover.
She even reportedly called her love rival a “rottweiler”.
After Diana died in a Paris car crash in 1997, Charles and Camilla gradually began to appear together in public and in time became accepted as a couple.
They married in 2005 and she, over time, won plaudits as the future king’s loyal wife.
The couple were seen side-by-side as they looked at flowers left by mourners for Charles’ father Prince Philip.
The popular Netflix series “The Crown”, charting the lives of Britain’s most famous family, albeit with a heavy dose of artistic licence, rekindled interest in their affair.
Charles was portrayed as very much in the driver’s seat, pursuing the older Camilla, played by Oscar-winning writer, director and actress Emerald Fennell.
In real life Camilla has carved out her own role, participating in the Booker literary prize ceremony and even the final of television ballroom dancing talent contest “Strictly Come Dancing”.
She campaigns to raise awareness of osteoporosis a condition from which her mother, Rosalind, suffered — and has an Instagram book club.
Marking 70 years on the throne earlier this year, the queen announced she hoped Camilla would be known as Queen Consort when Charles becomes king, resolving a long debate over her future title.
A YouGov poll in May 2022 found only 20 percent would like to see her become “queen”, while 39 percent favoured the title of “Princess Consort”.
YouGov ranked Camilla as the eighth most popular royal in the second three months of 2022, with 40 percent viewing her positively.
Born Camilla Rosemary Shand in London on July 17, 1947, Camilla had a traditional upbringing among Britain’s monied upper classes.
The granddaughter of the 3rd Baron Ashcombe, Roland Cubitt, she was educated in London, went to finishing schools in Switzerland and France, and spent her home life on a country estate in Sussex, in southern England.#photo1
Self-confident and attractive, she first met Prince Charles as a young woman at a polo match in the early 1970s, and they later became close.
However, believing Charles would never propose, she married British Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973. Royal guests included the queen’s sister, princess Margaret, and the monarch’s daughter, princess Anne.
The couple had two children: Tom Parker Bowles, whose godfather is Charles, is now a food writer, while Laura Lopes is an art curator.
Mutual feelings with the prince remained, nonetheless, with Charles allegedly continuing to see Camilla even after his high-profile marriage to Diana at St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1981.
The romance was fully rekindled later that decade as the royal marriage crumbled, which was luridly chronicled in leaked recorded phone conversations to the tabloid press.
Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles divorced in 1995, a year before Charles and Diana.
After Diana’s death, Charles and Camilla kept their relationship discreet, but it gradually became apparent they were effectively living together as husband and wife.
Following months of careful planning, the couple made their first public appearance together in 1999 and after that became increasingly open about their relationship.
They were married in the royal town of Windsor on April 9, 2005, in a civil ceremony followed by a religious blessing at St. George’s Chapel, with Queen Elizabeth II present.
Both divorced, there was controversy over whether they could have a church wedding, especially given Charles’ future role as supreme governor of the Church of England.#photo2
But the wedding — delayed by a day to allow the prince to attend pope John Paul II’s funeral — drew a cheering crowd of 20,000 into the streets leading to Windsor Castle.
As a married couple, they settled into a life of royal duties, overseas tours and holidays at Balmoral, the royal estate in northeast Scotland.
Camilla — known as the Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland — remained the archetype of the tweed-wearing, horse-loving British country aristocrat.
She has two Jack Russell terriers, rescue dogs Beth and Bluebell, and is a keen flower arranger.
Over time, Camilla has also been widely accepted by the royal family, including Charles and Diana’s two sons, princes William and Harry.
In 2005, Harry rejected the image of her as a “wicked stepmother”, describing her as a “wonderful woman and she’s made our father very, very happy, which is the most important thing.
“William and I love her to bits.”
Prince Charles’s behaviour with the two
Prince Charles’ relationship with Princess Diana when out in public was noted to be different in comparison to his behaviour with Camilla.
When the Prince of Wales is joined by the Duchess of Cornwall, he is snapped smiling and laughing with her, something which body language expert Inbaal Honigman shared was different when he was with Princess Diana.
Speaking to Express about Charles’ interaction with Camilla verses with Diana she said: “Prince Charles is regularly seen embracing his wife Camilla.
“The pair are often observed with their arms interlocking, looking each other in the eye, smiling full into each other’s faces, and generally seeking each other’s closeness, that the collective consciousness sees him as this guy.
“The warm, tactile, even romantic husband who is devoted to the lady beside him.
“Often photographed facing the same way as each other, or indeed facing one another, the married couple are clearly in love, and feel comfortable in each other’s presence, as they share royal duties, and the odd private moment.”
“A glance back at his photos with his first wife, the late Princess Diana, reveal a very different Prince.
“Official images and some personal press shots from the early years of the young couple’s married life, show a blushing Diana and an often discontent Charles in absolute disarray towards one another.
“There’s always a good few feet of social distancing between them, and they rarely face the same way.
“In the starkest of photographs, they’re facing squarely away from one another, both standing stiff with their arms by their sides.
“But even on the occasions when they’re not searching for something to look at on opposite ends of the room, they are not in harmony – if they both look ahead, it’s never in the same direction.
“Their facial expressions don’t match. They both look like they wished they were elsewhere, with somebody else.
“Partly, this disparity between 80s Prince Charles and his military stance, and modern era granddad Charles, all warm and loving, may be down to social protocols around the royals changing.
“It could be that back in his first marriage, the Prince was under clear instructions to not hold hands, to not look too happy – and during those days, there was no room for flexibility even with his young wife.
“These days now, the royals are accepted as people in their own right, and the Prince shows his spontaneity and natural wit without any negative repercussions.”
Inbaal continued: “Another consideration is maturity – many people only develop their romantic sides as they age.
“There is every chance that the apparent antipathy between Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the early days, expressed in their body language of opposites, was a result of social reasons, not emotional incompatibility,” she added.
While opening up about her career trajectory in a recent interview, actor Saboor Aly said that she believes that she is the Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan of Pakistan.
Saboor revealed that Khushhal is five years younger than her and being cast opposite him definitely felt like being Bollywood’s Khans who work with extremely younger leading ladies. Khushhal is a newcomer in the industry and he has just started his career. People loved watching his pairing with Saboor.
Earlier this month, the Fitrat star took to her Instagram stories to share her stance on a viral blooper video from the latest episode of her drama Mushkil.
Saboor also took a dig at the drama’s editor.
Recently social media users paused and screen-recorded a scene where Faraz (Khushhal Khan) is fighting with his brother while his wife Sameen (Saboor) is seen laughing in the frame, completely out of character. She snaps back to the character immediately but even the editing department couldn’t cut out the error.
The clip went viral immediately and then started a plethora of memes on the micro-blogging site. Exposing Saboor’s hilarious acting slip, a fan wrote that it was easily their “favourite” bit from the show. “My favourite bit from the entire show is these guys fighting for life and then the camera pans to Saboor and the girl is out of her character, laughing.”

Another netizen blamed the editing team for not being “paid enough” to see the slip-up.

Based on an estranged equation between three friends navigating through love and life, the Marina Khan directorial Mushkil has been a household favourite for various reasons with the top one being Saboor and Khushhal’s chemistry.
Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are actively promoting their upcoming film Brahmastra as the release date draws closer. There have been calls for the boycott of Brahmastra as well for different reasons. Whether it is Karan Johar’s backing of the film or Alia Bhatt’s controversial comments in a recent interview, the movie has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Recently internet users dug out an old Ranbir Kapoor interview from ten years ago and cited it as a reason to boycott the film.
The video of the interview is being reshared now with fresh calls for a boycott of his forthcoming biggie.
Not just a boycott, the beef controversy resulted in an embarrassing affair for the lead couple of the film. Members of right-wing groups Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, created a huge row in Ujjain today ahead of the visit of actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji. They were to visit the famous Jyotirlinga at the Mahakaleshwar Temple this evening.
Ahead of the visit, the right-wing workers gathered at the main gate and the conch gate meant for VVIPs to show them black flags. The police had to use batons to bring the crowd under control.
After promoting the film in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad, the lead actors of Brahmastra had taken a flight to Ujjain hoping to visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple along with director Ayan Mukerji.
Since Alia Bhatt is pregnant, she decided not to go to the temple amid the ruckus. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor returned to Indore without darshan. From Indore, they will take a flight to Mumbai, said Ashish Singh, the Collector of Ujjain.
After the situation was brought under control, only Ayan Mukerji went to the temple and had darshan, said Mr Singh.
Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles and is a fantasy adventure film that draws heavily from mythology. It is slated for release on September 9.
Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen and IPL founder Lalit Modi took the internet by storm when they made their relationship official a little over a month ago. However, rumours about their break up have started doing the rounds since Modi has changed his bio and profile picture on Instagram.
The IPL founder and business tycoon announced his relationship with Sushmita on his social media space on July 14th this year. Proclaiming his love for the former Miss Universe, he also changed his profile picture on Instagram, along with his bio. It read, “founder @iplt20 INDIAN PREMIERE LEAGUE finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47.” But things have changed now, which has sparked breakup rumours. Modi has not only changed his display picture, but his bio too, as he removed the part about Sushmita. However, the duo has not made any official statements yet.
Recently, Sushmita was spotted with her ex-beau Rohman Shawl quite a few times, which left netizens asking about Lalit Modi. Although Sushmita and Rohman announced their break up last year, they maintain a good bond.
Back in July, he shared a slew of pictures with Sushmita on his Instagram space from their holiday together. Sharing the photos he wrote, “Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my # better-looking partner @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. In love does not mean marriage yet. But one that by God’s grace will happen. I just announced that we are together”
The post created a lot of buzz on social media, with many speculating if the duo is going to get married soon. However, the ex-IPL boss soon clarified that the two are ‘just dating’.
Sushmita had shut trolls with an apt note, who referred to her as a ‘gold digger’ soon after the announcement of their relationship. A part of the note posted by the Aarya actress read, “I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!! I love the all-heart support my well-wishers & loved ones continue to extend. Please know, that your Sush is ABSOLUTELY fine.. cause I’ve never lived on the transient borrowed light of approval & applause. I am the Sun….perfectly Centred in my being & my conscience!! I love you guys!!!”
Lalit Modi has been in London since 2010 when he left India amid investigations into tax evasion and money-laundering cases.
Sen, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1994, made her debut in Bollywood with the 1996 film Dastak. She has starred in films like Biwi No 1, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Main Hoon Na and No Problem.
Sushmita has two daughters – Alisah and Renee. The 46-year-old actress was last seen in the web series Aarya 2.
The sprinter, Naseem Shah, said in a recent interview that he only focuses on his matches. “I don’t know who Urvashi Rautela is. People usually send me videos but I have no idea,” the young star from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa clarified when asked about the viral video Urvashi shared on her social media.
Urvashi took to her Instagram and replied with a strong statement. The Bollywood star stated that her team shared fan made edits without her knowledge on her Instagram handle. She wrote, “Couple of days back, my team shared all fan-made cute edits (around 11-12) without any knowledge of Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela posted an edited video of her and Naseem Shah smiling at each other.
Twitterati claimed, initially, Urvashi was following Naseem Shah on Instagram, however, she unfollowed the Pakistan pacer after the latter disclosed he doesn’t know who Urvashi really is.
After India and Pakistan’s nail-biting group stage match, Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela posted an edited clip on her Instagram in which footage is cut to make it seem as if Shah has smiled at her and then she smiles back.
The clip seemed edited as in the first clip, the scorecard was at 1-1 while in the second clip of Urvashi returning the smile, the scorecard jumped upto 97-4.

A user expressed his disappointment after finding out that Urvashi was not there for Panday or Pant but for someone else.
“Some were saying she was there for Hardik Pandya, others were saying Rishabh Pant, but this lady was clearly ahead of all of us.” tweeted a user.

Actor Azekah Daniel took to Twitter to share the reason for walking out of a talk show’s set. The Cheekh actress schooled the comedians on the show of being oblivious to the fine line between joking and bullying. The Noor Jehan star showed her disapproval over the nature of jokes made.
She stated, “So today I walked out of a show because some comedians clearly don’t understand the difference between humour or degrading someone. Tears rolled down as I left the set full of people. Jokes are meant to be funny not hurt someone’s feelings.”
Netizens appreciated Daniel for not taking insensitive jokes with a pinch of salt and for shaming such humour publicly.
