    Supermodel Sabeeka Imam has questioned Azaan Sami Khan’s casting in drama seriel Ishq-e-Laa co-starring Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi.

    “So it seems like you need zero onscreen acting experience and you could also debut with both the AMAZING Yumna and Sajal,” she wrote.

    “Mujhe bhi itni hi achi LUCK chahiye where I don’t have to earn it or prove myself first & it just gets handed to me on a plate,” she added.

    Sabeeka after recieving the criticism on her tweet said, “Aap log humein bura bhala kahen to woh sab theek hai lekin main as an artist koi opinion doon to main “jealous”? Salman Khan ki baat sach hai… “main karoon to saala character dheela hai.”

    Earlier actor Muneeb Butt also claimed that he thinks, Azaan is a product of nepotism.

    It is pertinent to mention here that Azaan Sami Khan will make his acting debut alongside Yumna Zaidi and Sajal Aly in Ishq-E-Laa. Directed by Amin Iqbal, the script is penned by the veteran writer, Qaisera Hayat of Alif Allah Aur Insaan fame.

    Famous Pakistani host and actor, Iffat Omar has clarified what she meant by a comment, which was severely criticised by netizens from across the border on Friday. The actor mistakenly wrote “wow” on an Indian portal post which announced the death of veteran Bollywood actor Surekha Sikri.

    Elle India took to Instagram to announce Sikri’s demise. The actress passed away at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest. She had also survived two strokes in the last three years. Surekha Sikri was one of the most prominent names in the Indian cinema and television industry.

    Omar commented on the post, saying: “Wow wow wow,” with a ‘fire emoticon’ which caused an uproar in India, with many people calling it insensitive.

    Iffat clarified that her comment, “It was just a mistake, I just saw the picture and found it so graceful that immediately commented and as soon I realised I apologised,” said Omar while exclusively talking to The Current. She had not realised or read that the Bollywood actor had passed away.

    The Family Front actor also shared the screenshot of her clarification comment with us in which she wrote: “(Oh My God) OMG just read the post. RIP (Rest In Peace) remember her since Bunyad days.”

    While the majority called her out, a few mentioned how this could be a misunderstanding, and the actor might have shared a comment without reading the caption.

    Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Thursday that Pakistan and Uzbekistan will jointly make a film on the first Mughal emperor, Zaheer-ud-din Babar, in order to let the youth know about the connection between the two countries.

    As per reports, this decision has been made to educate the young people of both the countries of the shared heritage between the two nations.

    “[It] is extremely exciting that we have decided now to make a film on the first of the great Mughals, Zaheer-ud-din Babar,” the premier said in a joint presser with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

    PM Khan said that the Mughal dynasty ruled India for three centuries, adding that the region at that time was considered as “one of the richest” places in the world.

    “I think the young people in Uzbekistan and Pakistan must know this connection that stayed for hundreds of years between this part of the world and our part of the world.”

    “We hope that this will be the beginning of a strong cultural exchange between the two countries. As our countries get closer, I will introduce cricket to the people of Uzbekistan,” said the prime minister.

    Speaking on the occasion, President Mirziyoyev threw weight behind PM Imran’s opinion, adding that the youth of Uzbekistan should know about the heritage of Babar’s dynasty.

    “We should say that this is just the beginning. I look forward to visiting Pakistan in order to see those very places that have the touch of our ancestors and to see the life in Pakistan and people of Pakistan,” said the Uzbek president.

    After coming under fire for allegedly littering in Ladakh while shooting Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan’s production house has issued an official statement debunking the allegations.

    In a statement released on Aamir Khan Productions’ (AKP) official Instagram handle, the makers of the film stated that none of the accusations against the actor and his crew are true and that they are taking utmost care about keeping the environment clean.

    The statement read, “To whomsoever, it may concern, AKP would like to clarify that as a company we follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around our shooting spaces. We have a team that makes sure that the location is kept trash-free at all times. At the end of the day, there`s a recheck of the entire location. At the end of the entire schedule, we make sure that when we leave a location, we leave it as clean or cleaner than we found it.”

    “We believe that there are some rumours/allegations about our location not being kept clean. We strongly deny such claims. Our location is always open to relevant local authorities to carry out checks anytime they like,” concluded the statement released by Khan’s production house.

    A social media user by the username Jigmat Ladakhi had earlier shared a video on Twitter, showing the entire area littered with used plastic bottles. He criticised the “gift” Khan’s film had “left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh”.

    He even pointed out that the actor propounds environmental cleanliness on his social awareness show Satyamev Jayate. The user wrote, “This is the gift Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha has left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh. Aamir Khan himself talks big about environmental cleanliness at Satyamev Jayate but this is what happens when it comes to himself.” The film reunites Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who last worked together in 3 Idiots.

    Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will also appear in cameo roles in the upcoming film. Being the most anticipated release of this year, the movie is slated to hit the big screens at Christmas.

    The shoot of the film was halted in March as the main lead, Aamir, got infected with Covid-19. After his recovery and control of the second wave in India, the shoot has started again.

    In a newly emerged clip shared by the U.K’s DailyMail on Wednesday, the Baywatch actress appeared to ignore the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they took their seats to a roaring applause from the crowd for the Women’s Singles Final on Saturday.

    Instead of joining in, the desi girl seemingly fiddled with her scarf. At one point, the Quantico star appeared to look away as the couple mingled with those in attendance.

    The alleged snub made its way to Twitter, where many believed the star was supporting her friend Meghan Markle Indirectly. In March, the Duchess of Sussex, 39, told Oprah Winfrey that the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, made her cry days before she married William’s younger brother Prince Harry in May 2018.

    Some pointed out that the clip is similar to the unearthed video footage from 2018 that showed William, 39, suddenly preoccupied with his own scarf while ignoring Markle, who attempted to speak with her brother-in-law. In that clip, the duke repeatedly fiddled with his attire, ignoring Markle altogether.
