Bold scene in ‘Resident Evil’: Ahad Raza Mir shares his side of the story

When Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir stepped into the world of Resident Evil, he knew the bold scene would spark conversations. But what went through his mind as he took on the role?

In a recent interview with Gloss Etc by Maliha Rehman, the Dhoop Ke Deewar actor opened up about the controversial scene, the process behind it and the double standards he faces as a Pakistani actor in international projects.

“Did you feel comfortable doing the bold scene in Resident Evil? Did you ever think ‘should I do it or not’?” asked the host.

“It was quite scary because I know that it’s going to happen. But we have to also understand that we show slapping, violence, and abuse on screen. We see all of this… sometimes to the extent where I feel it shouldn’t be something children are watching. But when it comes to affection, suddenly, there’s a big problem. The reality is, we’re all watching these things in Indian and Hollywood films, but when a Pakistani actor does it, we think we must judge… we must say something about this,” he replied.

Ahad also went on to explain the process behind shooting such scenes.

“I understand that everyone has their own opinion, but when I was shooting in the UK or America, I didn’t refuse to perform such scenes. Why? Because it’s a part of the story. It’s not just about doing the scene… it’s a very technical process. There’s a checklist and a very thorough process that goes behind it. It’s not just about showing up and doing whatever you feel like. There’s a whole structure to it,” the HUM TUM actor added.

In the same interview, Yakeen Ka Safar actor opened up about upcoming projects.

In Meem Se Mohabbat, Ahad Raza Mir will star opposite Dananeer Mobeen, marking their first on-screen pairing.

“It’s lighthearted with a little bit of a heavy undertone. It’s the kind of story I’ve been looking for because it’s multi-dimensional… has its moments of depth. Not to say that lighthearted work doesn’t have depth, but this has something worth exploring, and that’s why I signed up. It’s written by Farhat Ishtiaq, and I have trouble saying no to her scripts. Her storytelling is phenomenal. Every time I read or hear one of her stories, I get hooked.”

Speaking about his much anticipated Netflix project Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, the Ehd-e Wafa actor reflected on the timing and significance of the series.

“I think I’m waiting for ’Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo’. I’m hopeful and all, but everything has its time, you know? It had to happen at this time, and that’s when it did. I think there are reasons for that. There must be a reason behind it in the cosmos. That’s kind of how I’ve been living life anyway now. I think there’s no point in worrying as long as we, as human beings, think that way… like there’s a greater plan for everything. That’s the way I look at it. I’m just happy it’s coming.”

Cryptic post by Amitabh Bachchan sparks speculation about family issues

Amitabh Bachchan has shared a mysterious post amid reports of troubles brewing between the veteran actor’s son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.

In a blog post, the actor discussed “unclear information” and its societal effects. His post came amid speculations that Abhishek and Aishwarya were facing issues in their married life.

“Speculations are speculations, they are speculated untruths, without verifications,” the 82-year-old actor wrote.

“It takes immense courage, conviction and sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life… I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain, and its privacy is maintained by me,” he added.

He said that “seekers seek verifications to authenticate their business” and “commercials of the profession they are in”.

“I shall not challenge their desire to be in the profession of their choice,” he wrote.

The veteran actor also discussed the impact of spreading false and unverified information on society and individuals.

“Fill the world with untruth or questioned untruth and your job is over… how it may have affected the subject individual or situation has been washed away from your hands… your conscience, if ever you had one, has been overridden.”

Earlier, he has shared some interesting advice for married couples on how to keep the romance alive.

For the past year, rumors of a divorce between his son, Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya have been circulating online, as the two have been seen attending events separately. Their silence on the matter also raised concerns.

However, a few days ago, a Times of India report claimed that Abhishek Bachchan gave an interview to Bollywood UK media, where he was asked about the persistent divorce rumors.

Abhishek responded, “I don’t have much to say in this regard. You guys just give a different spin to the news, which I understand.”

He then showed off his wedding ring and added, “See, I’m still married.”

On his show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati,’ Amitabh offered advice to husbands and wives around the world for a happy married life.

A couple on the show mentioned that they had been married for 25 years and still loved each other deeply. They shared that they make short videos (reels) wherever they go.

Bachchan responded, “You’ve given a very good idea. I also suggest that to keep the romance alive, husbands and wives should make videos wherever they go. Whether it’s a walk or a trip, make it a point to create a video together.”

  • Police find new clues in Shahrukh Khan death threat case

Police find new clues in Shahrukh Khan death threat case

The lawyer who issued death threats to Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has reportedly been actively collecting his sensitive details online.

The officials, during the investigation, discovered that Faizan Khan, the accused, extensively researched and gathered information about Khan’s son Aryan Khan and their family’s security and movement.
Before threatening to kill the actor and demanding India Rs 5 million in extortion, Faizan complied details through online searches.

The Bandra police uncovered the findings when they recovered a second mobile phone belonging to the accused.

Faizan called the Bandra police on November 7 landline and directly threatened to kill Shah Rukh Khan.

The accused, who have been in judicial custody for 10 days, purportedly dodged and evaded questions related to the collection of such information during his police interrogation.

The Bandra police came up as prompt responders to securing public figures. The incident is a wake-up call for increased vigilance in the protection of sensitive data in this age of digitalization.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has also faced multiple threats over the years, especially from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. But now, Shah Rukh Khan is in the news for receiving a threatening call from unknown callers, demanding Indian rupees 50 lacs. The call, made on November 5, led to an investigation by police from both Mumbai and Chhattisgarh.

According to Indian media reports, authorities from both Mumbai and Raipur are now investigating the incident.
Chief Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar confirmed the case, stating that Mumbai Police had informed their Raipur counterparts about the case registered at Bandra Police Station.

This is not the first time Shahrukh Khan has received threats.

In October, the actor was also targeted after the success of his films Pathaan and Jawan, prompting Mumbai Police to increase his security to a Y+ level, providing him with six armed personnel for around-the-clock protection.

Reports printed in Indian media have said that WhatsApp messages sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police stated, “Salman Khan will be killed if the money is not paid.”

After the fresh threat, a case has been registered against the unknown person who sent the WhatsApp messages while police search for the suspect.

A 20-year-old man who threatened to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan two days ago was arrested from Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the 20-year-old had threatened to kill Zeeshan Siddiqui along with Salman Khan.

Khan’s close friend, Muslim politician, Baba Siddiqui was killed in Mumbai this month.

The Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Baba Siddiqui’s murder. Apart from this, incidents of firing outside Salman Khan’s residence have also raised concerns about his safety.

  • AR Rahman apologised to me: Badshah

AR Rahman apologised to me: Badshah

Bollywood’s famous rapper Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, AKA Badshah, has claimed that AR Rahman had apologised to him for not liking the remix of his song ‘Huma Huma’.

Badshah is one of the few singers who has produced remixes of past superhit classic songs, for which he often faced criticism.

Recently, Badshah said, “I know how to present ‘Huma Huma’ in Badshah’s style so that the spirit of the original song is not hurt and the song is also presented in a new style. When I did ‘Huma Huma’, I faced a lot of criticism; Rahman sahib was also very unhappy.”

He added that, “Later, AR Rahman called me and said that he was sorry that it took him a while to understand that this is a good song. When AR Rahman reacted like this, there was nothing bigger and more important for me because I did not expect it.”

AR Rahman is the original composer of the song who expressed dissatisfaction with the remix after it was released.

The song ‘Huma Huma’ from the film Bombay, released in 1995, received a lot of recognition. At that time, this song was a superhit and was later remixed for the movie ‘OK Jaanu’, released in 2017.

Badshah has also presented many other hit remix songs, including ‘Gore Gore Mukhade Pe Kaala Chashma’ and ‘Tamma Tamma’.

Earlier, Bollywood maestro A. R. Rahman and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman and his wife, Saira Banu, have announced their decision to separate after 29 years of marriage.

Rahman shared an emotional note with his fans on November 19, thanking them for respecting their privacy during this difficult time.

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), A. R. Rahman expressed the pain of the separation, saying, “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again. To our friends, thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter.”

    A. R. Rahman and Saira Banu tied the knot on March 12, 1995, and have three children together.

On November 19, Saira Banu’s lawyer, Vanda Shah, released a public statement conforming the separation.

The statement read: “After many years of marriage, Mrs Saira has made the difficult decision to separate from her husband Mr AR Rahman. This decision comes after significant emotional strain in their relationship”

“Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between them, one that neither party feels able to bridge at this time. Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony. Mrs Saira requests privacy and understanding from the public during this challenging time, as she navigates this difficult chapter in her life”, the further statement read.

  • ‘I was called a liar over claims of Bollywood offers,’ says Imran Abbas

‘I was called a liar over claims of Bollywood offers,’ says Imran Abbas

Actor Imran Abbas has expressed disappointment over being labelled a liar for sharing that he was offered roles in multiple Bollywood films. He stated that he faced criticism despite never lying about the offers.

Abbas stated in a recent interview, “People called me a liar when I revealed I was considered for the Heera Mandi web series.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, however, later confirmed that he had thought about casting Imran Abbas and other Pakistani artists.

Imran Abbas disclosed during interviews on various national TV channels that he had received offers for multiple Bollywood films, which he couldn’t accept. He was, nonetheless, accused of lying, criticised, and mocked.

He claimed that the Pakistani public and journalists believed certain Indian journalists – who are banned in India for spreading lies – over him.

Without naming anyone, he said his statements about Bollywood offers were dismissed as lies under the influence of Indian journalists.

Imran Abbas emphasised that he has been in the entertainment industry for 20 years and has worked in several Indian films. He questioned, “Why would I lie about such matters on TV?”

He further explained, “Filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajkumar Hirani are well-known figures, and I would never lie using their names.”

He clarified, “I have always stated that I was offered several Bollywood projects but never claimed I rejected them.”

Imran Abbas also expressed that he genuinely wanted to work in the films he was offered but could not because of circumstances, not because he turned them down.

“I was offered not only the Heera Mandi web seriess but also Aashiqui 2. But, at the time, I was working on another project under Akshay Kumar’s production, which prevented me from taking up the role due to contractual obligations,” he said.

Similarly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali offered him a role in the 2010 film Guzaarish, but unfortunately, he could not accept it.

Imran Abbas also disclosed, “I was offered a role in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film PK. I was considered for the role of Sarfaraz, played by Sushant Singh Rajput. However, I couldn’t work on that film either.”

He expressed regret that even people in villages dismissed his claims as lies and refused to believe him, which saddened and disappointed him deeply.

I think there’s no point in worrying as long as we, as human beings, think that way… like there’s a greater plan for everything. That’s the way I look at it. I’m just happy it’s coming.”

Ahad Raza Mir’s future plans also include branching out beyond his established relationship with Hum TV to explore new opportunities with other channels.

He’s excited to see how working with different networks will change his experience as an actor.

“I am moving on to other channels as well and I’m excited for that… just to kind of see what the difference is, and obviously, I think every channel also has their own mandate of the kind of content that they want to do. So I’m excited to see myself in that position.”

Artificial intelligence has become a global trendy hot topic, thanks to platforms like ChatGPT, an innovative AI tool that has been able to make talking to machines feel natural and interactive, therefore rewriting the way people see and use AI.

ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, is highly valued for its ability to provide responses in a human-like manner. Whether it’s answering questions, producing an essay, creating a story, or helping complete technical tasks, ChatGPT has demonstrated the enormous scope of AI in various areas. The ease with which access to it can be gained through laptops and mobile devices has encouraged individuals, students, and businesses to pursue AI for learning, productivity, and creative projects.

One key reason for the AI popularity boom is the simplification of complex task tasks that use tools like ChatGPT to save precious time and effort in such mundane activities as composing emails, brainstorming ideas, or even researching.
Its role in supporting professionals, writers, and developer further establishes AI as a reliable workplace companion.
AI platforms have also triggered interest and excitement about the future, as ChatGPT introduced millions to the concept of generative AI: machines that create content based on user inputs.

One Direction stars attend Liam Payne’s funeral in UK

Family and friends of One Direction star Liam Payne, who died last month after falling from a Buenos Aires hotel room, gathered for his funeral in Britain on Wednesday.

Payne’s former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were among the dozens of mourners at the private service at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, just outside London.

Payne’s tearful parents were joined by his two sisters, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and former partner Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he has a son.

Around a dozen fans watched from behind a nearby cordon as guests hugged each other before walking past floral tributes into the 12th-century church to pay their final respects.

“Because his death was such a public death, to have the funeral in a private way… I think it was very nice,” said onlooker Sheila Morris, a 65-year-old from Amersham.

    “It’s a beautiful church… it’s a very beautiful place for a funeral,” she said.

Payne’s coffin arrived in a white horse-drawn hearse topped with floral tributes spelling the words “Son” and “Daddy”, followed by his parents.

Payne was found dead on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room at the Casa Sur Hotel in the Argentinian capital.

His death, at 31, prompted a global outpouring of grief from family, former bandmates and fans, with thousands gathering in cities around the world to offer condolences.

    – ‘Completely devastated’ –

Payne shot to stardom as a teenager alongside Styles, Horan, Tomlinson and Malik after their appearance on the UK talent show “The X Factor” 14 years ago.

He died from “multiple traumas” and “internal and external haemorrhaging” after the fall from the hotel room, a post-mortem examination found.

The balcony attached to his room overlooked a rear patio that was about 14 meters (45 feet) high.

Hotel staff had called emergency services twice to report a guest “overwhelmed by drugs and alcohol” who was “destroying” a hotel room.

Investigators have said he was alone at the time and appeared to have been “going through an episode of substance abuse”.

In a short statement following his death, Payne’s family said: “We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.”

One Direction said they had been “completely devastated” by his death.

After forming in 2010, the band went on to release an album of radio-ready songs each year in time for the holiday shopping season and became one of the highest-grossing live acts in the world.

In 2016, after Malik left, the group said it was on an indefinite hiatus but not splitting up.

Payne’s first solo single “Strip That Down” peaked at number three on the UK charts and number 10 on the US Billboard top songs list.

But in recent years he had spoken publicly about struggles with substance abuse and coping with fame from an early age.

His last solo work, the single “Teardrops”, was released in March, with a second album announced at the time.

Payne was born and raised in Wolverhampton, central England.

  • Rs8 crore becomes unexpected star of ‘Sunn Mere Dil’

Rs8 crore becomes unexpected star of ‘Sunn Mere Dil’

What do you get when a drama revolves around a number that’s never been seen but constantly mentioned?

The obsession with ‘8 crore’ in Sunn Mere Dil has taken the drama by storm, but not in the way fans would expect.

Controversial writer Khail Ur Rehman Qamar, known for his misogynistic scripts and problematic plots, previously faced heavy criticism for ‘2 takay ke larki’, one of the dialogues from ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’, and now, he is facing the same backlash for the constant use of ‘8 crore’ in Sunn Mere Dil.

The ‘8 crore’ reference is to the conversation when Sadaf learns that her brother, Zaviyar, has cancer. The doctor says he could survive with a transplant, but the treatment is only available in the U.S. Sadaf goes to Bilal Abdullah’s office, where she meets him and asks for help. She requests him to lend her eight crore, saying, “Whatever you ask, I will do it.” Bilal agrees, signs the cheque, and hands it to her.

Maya Ali and Wahaj Ali play the lead roles in Sunn Mere Dil, however, despite the hype, the execution has not had a positive response from fans.

Maya Ali portrays Sadaf, and Wahaj Ali plays Bilal Abdullah.

The script and character development have left viewers disappointed, with many questioning the storyline that seems to lack coherence.

Now, ‘8 crore’ is the most discussed subject on social media as it has been persistently used in a number of episodes.

Instagram blogger Miss Malik compiled a list of the many times ‘8 crore’ is referenced, and so far, it has been used 13 times in the drama.

This is followed by another repeated dialogue: “crore chahiye” and “Mirza Shahab ne mujhe bola, please sir, peete waqt meri beti ko discus mat kare” said by Bilal played by Wahaj Ali.

Fans have been vocal about their frustration with the constant repetition of 8 crores and its impact on the drama.

    Here’s how fans are reacting:

A fan commented, “I can’t believe they keep talking about 08 crore like it’s just pocket change. The drama’s plot should be more than just this number.”

Another fan jokingly commented, 8 “Whole drama is dancing around 8 crore8 crore crying in corner8 croor q chahiye, BMW M5 f90 leni hei. Bro. Isliya.”

A viewer couldn’t contain their amusement and commented, “The 8 crore obsession is so intense, and I’m starting to feel like I need it too. Who else is watching this drama just for that magic number?”

Sun Mere Dil features a talented cast, including Amar Khan, Saba Hamid, Hira Mani, Usama Khan, Syed Mohammed Ahmed, and Shavir Kadwani.

Written by controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and directed by Haseeb Hassan, ‘Sunn Mere Dil’ may have missed the mark in some areas, but one thing is for sure: ‘8 crore’ has taken over the conversation.
