A local court in Islamabad, during the hearing of the Noor Mukadam murder case, has requested the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to grant additional time to complete the trial. For the second time, the trial of the case could not be finished within the two-month deadline set by the Islamabad High Court.

“Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani has written a letter to the Islamabad High Court seeking more time to complete the trial. The letter also stated that various petitions were heard throughout the trial, which wasted the court’s time and resulted in the trial court not being completed within the two-month time limit.

The murder trial began in October 2021.
