  • Man dies after his Bluetooth headphones explode in ear

    A 28-year-old man died in India’s Jaipur after his Bluetooth headphones exploded in his ears while he was using them for his studies.

    As per details, the deceased, Rakesh Kumar Nagar, was using his Bluetooth headphone device while it was plugged into an electrical outlet.

    However, the device exploded suddenly in his ear leaving him unconscious. Both his ears had suffered serious injuries, said the police.

    Nagar was shifted to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment. Police said that Nagar was preparing for a competitive examination at his residence.

    Meanwhile, confirming Nagar’s death, Dr Rundla of Siddhivinayak Hospital said the man was brought to the facility in an unconscious condition. He died during treatment at the hospital. The man probably died of cardiac arrest, he added.

    Nagar got married in February this year and was the eldest of his siblings.

  • Man kills wife with an ax in front of daughter

    A husband killed his wife with an ax in front of their daughter in Nankana Sahib. Police registered a case under Section 302 and arrested the accused, reports Independent Urdu.

    According to the FIR, the woman was a resident of the Maliwal area and a mother of three children. She was murdered by her husband Khalid Hussain on Saturday night.

    The brother of the deceased, Yaseen, registered an FIR at Mangta Nawala police station. Yaseen told Independent Urdu that his sister was married to Khalid 15 years ago and has two sons and a daughter. Khalid used to drive a rickshaw to earn a living. According to Yaseen, the victim came to his house after the couple had a fight over their children.

    He said that Khalid came to his house on Friday night and took an oath by placing his hand on the Qur’an that he will never beat his wife again and wants to take his wife and children back home.

    Yaseen said that since the couple already had a fight so just to be on the safe side, he went with the couple along with some other relatives to ensure that the couple do not quarrel again.

    Yaseen said he slept on the roof at night, his sister in a room and Khalid in the courtyard.

    “At about two o’clock in the morning, there was a noise and we ran downstairs. I saw Khalid attacking my sister with an ax. My sister died on the spot due to severe injuries while Khalid saw us and fled the scene.”

    Yaseen said that when Khalid was attacking his sister with an ax, his 14-year-old daughter was standing there in shock.

    He said that the young girl’s senses have not been restored yet. They have brought the children home with them while the victim has been buried.

    SHO Tasawur Munir said that the accused has been arrested and action will be taken as per law. The SHO declined to comment further, saying an investigation is underway.

    Yaseen said he is very poor and is a driver by profession, he is afraid that the police will suppress the case so he needs justice for his sister.

  • Ex-cop loses life saving child from being hit by train in Lahore

    A former police official died on Friday while trying to save a child from being crushed by a train in Lahore, ARY News reported.

    According to details shared by Superintendent of Police (SP) City Lahore Hassan Jahangir, the former sub-inspector Siddique, who retired from service last year, lost his life at a railway track while saving a child.

    “The child was playing at a railway crossing and was about to be hit by a train when Siddique rescued him and in the entire process lost his life after being crushed by the train,” the police official said.

    The SP said that the sub-inspector was on his way to his personal work when the incident happened. “We are also looking for the parents of the child who was saved in the entire effort,” he said.

    Siddique retired last year after serving at the police department for 38 years.
    The body of the former cop has been moved to a hospital for the medico-legal process.

    A 106-year-old woman in Karachi has recovered from coronavirus after contracting the Delta variant, ARY News reported.

    Haseen Bibi had been admitted to a Covid-19 centre established at Karachi’s Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College Lyari. She successfully fought the battle against the deadly Delta variant and has been discharged from the Covid ward.

    The hospital staff, along with her family, celebrated her recovery by cutting a cake at the medical centre.

    Last year in July, a 103-year-old man recovered from the coronavirus in Booni Chitral.

    The Delta variant was detected in India for the first time in September 2020 and is more dangerous and contagious than the other Covid-19 variants.

    Imam Masjid arrested for trying to rape two minor girls

    Police have arrested an Imam Masjid in Faisalabad for trying to rape two minor girls.

    As per reports, the parents of the girls did not want to file a complaint against the prayer leader after, but the police registered a case on the complaint of an inspector.

    The applicant, Inspector Abdul Hameed, said he along with constables was on duty when he received information that a video had gone viral on social media that showed a prayer leader trying to rape a girl. The suspect, he said, also violated the sacredness of the mosque and the locals identified him.

    The Sandal Bar police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him. City Police Officer Suhail Chaudhry said the suspect tried to rape two minor girls and the police immediately took action and registered a case though the girls’ families were not willing to pursue the case. He said the suspect was arrested and the girls have been sent to court for a statement.

  • Karachi woman tortured to death over parking spot

    A woman was tortured to death in Karachi over a parking issue.

    As per reports, the incident was reported in Karachi’s North Nazimabad Block L, where a woman argued with a man named Farhan over parking his vehicle in front of her home.

    Later, the man along with his accomplices barged into the house of the woman and tortured her to death.

    Earlier this year in Karachi, a man was killed when he refrained boys from playing cricket in front of his house in North Karachi.

    According to the police, the incident happened in North Karachi’s Sector 5-D, where four boys attacked a 31-year-old man named Rehan with the bat and wicket when he asked the boys not to play cricket in front of his house.

    Rehan was taken to a nearby hospital, but he could not survive. Police arrested the boys.

    Police rescue woman tied with chains, locked up by brothers

    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police rescued a woman tied with the chains and locked up in a dark room by her brothers for over a year on Tuesday.

    As per reports, police have arrested the three brothers identified as Sahir Khan, Faheem Khan, and Nadeem Khan while the fourth brother is on the run. 

    Talking to The Express Tribune, District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi Muhammad Shoaib said they had received information about the woman they raided the house after confirmation and released her from the illegal captivity.

    Mohammad Shoaib further told the media that the woman was living with her brothers after her divorce. “She wanted to move the court to claim her children’s expenses from her ex-husband but her brothers did not want this.”

    “There was not even a fan inside the room. When we raided the house, we saw that she had been chained like an animal and the only light coming into the room was through a window,” said another police official.

    The policeman added that the woman had been imprisoned as her brothers blamed her for the divorce and were also against her seeking a job. 

    The woman stated in her FIR that she got married 13 years ago and had two children, a girl and a boy. A case has been filed against the accused and an investigation is underway. 

  • Case registered against five suspects for raping, killing goat in Okara

    Police booked five men for allegedly raping and killing a goat in Okara on Tuesday.

    According to the police, five men unchained a labourer’s goat and took it with them to a nearby compound. The suspects sexually assaulted the animal, tortured and killed it.

    As per reports, locals saw the suspects escaping after committing the crime.

    The owner of the goat registered a complaint with the police. Police registered a case against the five suspects.

    Azhar Hussain, a local of Satghara police station, had his goat tied in front of his house which was untied by Naeem and his four partners. The suspects took the goat to a nearby compound where they tortured and raped it.

    The goat was taken to a livestock hospital by the police. The medical report showed that the goat was raped before it was killed. Police have started a search operation to arrest the suspects.

    DPO Faisal Shehzad took notice of the incident and ordered Satghara SHO Javed Khan to detain the culprits as soon as possible. SHO Javed Khan said the suspects will be arrested soon.

    Residents of the area demanded from the police to strictly punish the culprits for the heinous crime.

  • 19-year-old Shehroze Kashif sets world record by scaling K2

    A 19-year-old Pakistani, Shehroze Kashif, has made a world record by scaling the world’s second-highest mountain, K2. Kashif has become the youngest mountaineer in the world to summit K2.

    Following his feat, President Arif Alvi lauded the young man and congratulated him on his achievement.

    Former cricketer, Imran Nazir also took to Twitter to congratulate Kashif.

    Earlier this year, Shehroze Kashif became the youngest Pakistani to scale the world’s largest mountain above the seal level, Mount Everest.
