    Safia Al-Sayegh became the first Emirati female cyclist to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024. 22-year-old Safia is from Dubai turning her hobby and passion into a profession.

    According to media reports, Safia Al-Sayegh has represented the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the World Cycling Championships and has recently been given the good news of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics by the UAE Cycling Federation.

    The 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11.

    A warm-up match between USA and Bangladesh was canceled due to stormy weather in Dallas. Several parts of the USA have been hit by thunderstorms and tornadoes in the last week, resulting in the deaths of at least 23 people.

    Australia has won a warmup T20 World Cup match against Namibia with coaching and support staff in the team.

    Under the leadership of Mitchell Marsh, Australia, with only nine players available in the line-up, needed other players to complete the bowling innings. So Kangaroos chief selector former captain George Bailey, head coach Andrew Macdonald, fielding coach Andre Borwick and batting coach Brad Hodge did the fielding duties.

    Among the coaching and support staff, George Bailey and fielding coach Andre Borwick remained on the field until the end of the bowling innings.

    Despite taking six wickets for 50 in the 12th over, the Australian team failed to dismiss the entire Namibian team. Namibia scored 119 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs while the Kangaroos achieved the target with the loss of three wickets in just 10 overs.

    This is the first time in the history of T20 World Cup warm-up matches that a coaches and support staff played a match.

The match will start at 10:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time (which is 6:30 PM local time).

    England took a 1-0 lead in the series with a 23-run victory in the second T20 on Saturday. The first match at Leeds on Wednesday ended without a ball being bowled. The final match of the series will be played at The Oval on Thursday.

    The Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) has received fake applications for the position of head coach from Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and others.

    According to Indian media reports, the cricket board has received around 3,000 applications including fake ones, for the post.

    In 2022, BCCI received 5,000 applications, including fake ones sent in the name of many well-known personalities.

    The Indian board released an online Google form for head coaches earlier this month and the deadline for submission of applications was May 27.

    The tenure of Indian current head coach Rahul Dravid is ending when T20 World Cup finishes.

    Bollywood superstar and owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Shah Rukh Khan, reportedly presented a blank check to Gautam Gambhir, ‘Daily Jagran’ has reported.

    Gambhir is also interested in the job of India’s head coach, but wants a guarantee that he will apply only if he is selected for the coach, Daily Jagran claims.

    According to an NDTV report, the Indian Cricket Board is interested in appointing Gambhir as the coach of the Indian cricket team.

    Since many foreign coaches have refused to coach the Indian team, now the Indian board is thinking of Gautam Gambhir as the head coach after Rahul Dravid.

    Gambhir, who has mentor Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, has been offered a ‘blank check’ by Shah Rukh Khan to join the franchise for the next 10 years.

    Pakistan’s wheelchair cricket team has won its second consecutive Asian Championship.

    On the special invitation of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi, a delegation comprising team captain Muhammad Zeeshan, Imran Arain, Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, Syed Arsalan Ahmed, Moazzam Nawaz and Muhammad Fayaz met with the PCB chairman in Gaddafi cricket stadium.

    Mohsin Naqvi said on the occasion, “I am happy with the success of the wheelchair cricket team, PCB will continue to support the wheelchair cricket team. It is hoped that the cricket team will win tournaments in the future and make Pakistan famous.”

    Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the players for winning the Asian Championship and appreciated their performance, encouraged the players and gave a check of 15 lakh rupees.
