Pakistani PUBG players facing sponsor and visa issues for PMGO Brazil

Pakistani Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) players are facing sponsor and visa issues for PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Brazil, which will be a LAN event.

Pakistan’s PUBG Mobile, one of the best team Agonxi8 and Seventh Elements, is likely to miss out on the opportunity to play PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Brazil. PMGO is an offline tournament and the offline qualifiers of this event start from 28 March to 30 March.

The Pakistani team might not get their visas on time due to Pakistan visa policies. If they manage to get a visa, they would have to manage travel, hotel and other costs themselves in Brazil, an amount close to PKR three to four million. The prize poll of the LAN qualifiers is just $2,000 for each team, and unfortunately, if they cannot qualify for the next stage, they will have to bear a heavy loss.

The Pakistani government is not supportive of eSports. There is no platform to grow our eSports community.

The government should take serious notice of this problem because eSports is a huge income source for many players.

    PMGO Roadmap:

A total of 32 qualified teams will compete in this round from which the top 1 team will qualify for the main event while the 2,3 and 4th spot teams will qualify for the ‘Prelims’. The total prize pool for the qualifiers is $64,000 which will be equally distributed among the 32 teams.

The prize pool for the Prelims stage is $80,000. The top eight teams from this stage will qualify for the main event, while 7 teams are already invited for the main event.

The prize pool for the main event will be $356,000. The winning team will secure $100,000, the runner-up $ 50,000-second runner-up $30,000, and the 4th place team will secure $15,000.
