PTI announces protest on the same day as SCO summit will take place

As the country prepares to host the SCO summit, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced holding yet another protest in Islamabad’s D-Chowk on the same day the summit is scheduled – October 15.

The announcement came a few days after the PTI held a protest in D-Chowk, with the government turning the twin cities into a curfew-like situation, including suspending cellular networks.

The federal government had also announced a three-day public holiday in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from October 14 to 16 for the smooth conduction of the SCO summit.

Last week, the government also deployed armed forces under Article 245, citing the upcoming SCO summit for increased security in the country.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif strongly condemned the PTI’s decision to hold a protest on the exact date as the SCO summit will be taking place.

He also reiterated that the authorities would not let anyone take the country hostage.

CJP Isa refuses farewell dinner because it will cost approximately two million rupees

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has declined a farewell dinner, a tradition for every outgoing Chief Justice, saying that he cannot accept the event because it will cost approximately “two million rupees” funded by public money.

As per the tradition, the Supreme Court’s registrar’s office sent a note to the Chief Justice regarding the reception planned for his retirement on October 25.

The CJP underscored that such an event in his honour was unnecessary, making this the first time in the Supreme Court’s history that no farewell reception has been held for a retiring judge.

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, the next senior judge, will become the next Chief Justice, although the government has yet to notify him.

A full court reference has also been scheduled for October 25, where Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa will officially step down, according to an official letter issued by the court’s registrar to Supreme Court Bar Association President Shahzad Shaukat yesterday.

How Hareem Shah Becomes a Popular Social Media Figure

Hareem aroused millions of admirers and controversies nationwide from her viral videos and rude arguments with some politicians. But what did she do to get all that attention? What is the root cause of her rapid branding? In this article, we will give details about her progress and scandals. Moreover, we will also discuss the reasons why she is considered a popular figure on social networks.

    Hareem Shah’s Life Before Fame

Hareem Shah’s real name is Fiza Hussain, although her stage name better knows her. She was born on December 28, 1991, and raised in Peshawar, Pakistan. ‘Hareem Shah’ is a middle-class girl who graduated from a conservative family and enjoyed Islamic education. However, she later took courses in SEO DM and moved from shyness to new borders. Here, she established herself as a social media influencer.

Entry into the World of TikTok

She started to gain popularity on TikTok in 2019, a well-known platform for sharing short videos. She wowed and delighted the audience so much that they flocked to her in droves. Her videos featured lip-synchs, dances, and comedic acts. After shocking her viewers with her video, Hareem immediately became famous when she introduced herself to the websites where people create videos.

Viral Fame and Rise to Popularity

The beginning of Hareem Shah’s fame can be traced to her attractiveness to a young audience by using playful and entertaining videos. The viral videos were appealing to the youth all over Pakistan. As she began to post videos featuring diary entries in addition to comedic routines, viewers began to relate to her. And it led to an incredible increase in viewership.

Her fame came at a time when TikTok was booming in Pakistan. As one of the first users, Hareem Shah wanted to develop a fan base quickly. By the middle of 2019, she was already a celebrity among TikTok users in Pakistan.

How Scandals Made Hareem Shah Famous

Her fans were drawn to Hareem Shah’s latest videos and became involved in controversy because of her attitude. Some of her TikTok videos outraged the people and gathered extensive media attention. These videos were stunts and featured interactions with political personalities. A more notable degree of controversy was experienced when this lady posted a video of herself in the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This raises questions about some security measures in such a sensitive place.

    Interaction with Politicians

Hareem Shah knows a head full of hairs of Pakistan’s political administrations. Over time, she posted videos and pictures with prominent political figures, including aides of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Within a short period, her interactions with politician Sheikh Rasheed and other officials caused a lot of buzz regarding her clout and reach.

    Hareem Shah

    The Scandal with Sheikh Rasheed

One of the most well-known was her video call with Sheikh Rasheed. His images and video with hareem were leaked to the public. It was a hoax for Hareem Shah to get any sort of intimacy out of politician Rasheed. and the occurrence created a storm of ideas concerning the issues of privacy, political power, social media influence, and political issues in Pakistan.

    Public Black and Criticism

Fame did also bring along its critics. Critics claimed Hareem Shah was irresponsible and abusive of her leverage, notably when she displayed her relations with politicians. Her critics argued that she sought controversy to be relevant. Hareem Shah did not care about the negative aspects and continued to create content for her fans and enhance her social media platform.

Hareem Shah’s deviations from conventional society also generated consequences that could not be avoided. Some of the cases included lawsuits against her for defamation. She has also been subjected to physical and virtual harassment by people opposed to how she engages herself on social media.

On the other hand, Hareem Shah argued that she received threats from an influential politician because she released sensitive, politically viral videos of herself. She publicly said there was nothing to fear and that she would say what she wanted.

Hareem Shah and Power of Social Media

Hareem Shah appreciates the power of social media today. Social media can make or break a person’s story. Thanks to TikTok, many individuals have a voice, and they can easily be heard worldwide. For Hareem, social media networks were not just a fun activity. They were the tools that helped her find herself and then paved the way to success.

Her journey has been a great example of the changing forms of how fame is perceived over the years. Fame no longer belongs only on television and movies, which is where fame does at least start from anyway; people can be famous on the internet, which regular people can access. Although she has been subjected to much criticism, Hareem Shah has made the best of her critics, making herself one of the most popular social media influencers in Pakistan’s social media history.

Hareem Shah has also been a role model to the people of Pakistan, but she further reaches out to the use of her brand. She has triggered the movement of young Pakistanis utilizing social media as a form of expressive art. Her rise came over the massive TikTok craze in Pakistan, which was motivational rather than compulsive, encouraging content creation, breaking through on the internet, and interacting more actively with the public.

    Recent Projects and Future Plans

In 2021, Hareem Shah decided to act and started her YouTube channel to expand her media outreach. She still posts regularly on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube and interacts with millions of followers.

Her prospects in the entertainment industry are still rosy due to various opportunities for further partnerships, sponsorship deals, and even performing in movies or TV projects. No matter how much she divides opinions, one thing is sure: Hareem Shah will not in any way go away from the public eye anytime soon.

    Conclusion

Hareem Shah’s story is an interesting case study of how one woman, armed with only her cell phone and an internet connection, shot to fame and became very popular in Pakistan. Her story, replete with controversies, celebrity contacts, and even politics, fully illustrates the concept of highlight in this day and age. Some people regard her as controversial, while others consider her a pioneer who unchained herself from cancerous stereotypes and made her way to the top. Whether you adore her, detest her, or are unmoved, Hareem Shah has made history on Pakistan’s social media scene.

  • Can you imagine Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum with different actors?

Can you imagine Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum with different actors?

When it comes to casting the perfect actors for a drama serial, every little detail counts, especially for a drama like ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ which has become popular because of its gripping storyline and brilliant performances.

But have ever wondered what the drama would be like with a completely different cast?

Hania Aamir plays the character of Sharjeena, and Emmad Irfani plays the character of Adeel.

Recently, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum director Badar Mehmood appeared on Gloss Etc by Maliha Rehman.

“This is a collective decision, when the story is written and the script is prepared, there are some writers’ inputs involved. The writer (Farhat Ishtiaq) specifically told me that she wanted Hania Aaamir to be cast, and for Emmad Irafani, she mentioned that too. Fortunately, we got both of them because, as you know, there are timeline issues and commitments. The only concern is that there shouldn’t be any commitments. So it was just luck that we managed to get both of them for this drama.”

The host asked, “They also said that if the chemistry is good, the drama will progress well. Did you know from the beginning that this romance might require some censorship?”

Mehmood replied, “Until now, we haven’t had to face any issues on TV. However, when the 25th episode aired, a censor issue came up that I had to address because it was related to romance. In the 25th episode, there’s a scene where Fahad is lying on the bed, and Hania is resting her head on his shoulder. I initially took a wider shot, but then I made it more compact. I thought, when I saw the drama that was the wider shot with both of them lying down and talking. I made it more compact so that it wouldn’t cause too much concern on TV.”

Badar also highlighted how important it is to show closeness in a respectful way, especially when it involves portraying different types of relationships on screen.

“It also depends on the relationship, if it’s a husband-wife relationship, I feel there should be some allowance for that. I spoke to the censor board and said, ‘It’s a husband-wife relationship, it should be fine.’ But if it’s a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, I understand that certain boundaries should definitely be maintained. That’s the beauty of a husband-wife relationship, it should be  shown,” Badar Mehmood added.

Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum is written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Badar Mehmood.

The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM on ARY Digital.

  • What is Reko Diq and how does it help us?

What is Reko Diq and how does it help us?

Reko Diq has been deemed a game changer for Pakistan as its natural resources have the potential to improve the country’s struggling economy.

However, the question remains: How can the Reko Diq project change Pakistan’s financial dynamics?

The Pakistani government first signed an agreement on the Reko Diq copper and gold reserve in 1993 with the Australian mining company Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP) Minerals.

In 2000, BHP handed over the project to Tethyan Copper Company (TCC), a joint venture of Antofagasta of Chile and the Barrick Gold Corporation.

The Diplomat Magazine reported that in 2006, TCC invested $200-400 million to take over the project and convert the exploration permit into a mining license. However, in 2011, the Balochistan government rejected TCC’s application, and in 2013, Pakistan’s Supreme Court ruled against the mining license.

Meanwhile, when the Balochistan government cancelled the mining license, TCC filed for international arbitration at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), alleging a breach of contract.

A new agreement was signed in 2022, under which Barrick agreed to a 50 percent stake, down from the previous 75 percent.

In 2024, after the withdrawal of Barrick Gold Cooperation from Riko Diq, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia entered into a preliminary agreement for Islamabad to sell a 15 percent stake in the mining project to Saudi investors.

Reqo Diq covers an area of 3.3 million acres in the Chagai district, bordering Iran and Afghanistan. Beneath this dusty surface lies one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold and copper reserves.

A geological Survey in 1978 discovered the gold and copper resources in Chaghi.

According to Dawn News, estimated deposits of Riko Diq are around 200,000 tons of copper and 250,000 ounces of gold a year for nearly 50 years.

Chagai is one of the poorest areas of Pakistan and South Asia. With one of the lowest literacy rates and the highest infant and maternal mortality rates, Chagai district ranks lowest in Pakistan on most social and human development indicators.

Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh addressed the Pakistan Saudi Arabia Business Forum in Islamabad on Thursday, saying that the ties between his country and Pakistan “have no limits” and that this extends to economic cooperation as well.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign an agreement worth around two billion dollars.

“I think there are essentially no limits to what Saudi Arabia and Pakistan can do in the economic sphere, just like there are no limits to our friendship, to our bonds, to our historic relations,” stated the Saudi Minister.

Al Faleh stated that Saudi Arabia intends to invest in Pakistan’s infrastructure and mining sectors, and his delegation would sign 25 agreements across various fields.

‘Mehar, calm down!’: Bilawal laughs when anchor quotes Fawad Chaudhary

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had a sarcastic yet sassy reply to television host Meher Bukhari on Dunya News when she quoted former PTI member Fawad Chaudhary’s claim about judges of superior courts possibly resigning.

Feigning a surprises expression, he asked Bokhari who claimed that judges will resign. When told it was Fawad, he said, “Well then, we’ve lost… I give up… Fawad Chaudhry has spoken, so why are we even continuing this interview?”

The former Foreign Minister couldn’t help but laugh as Mehr Bokhari went on to narrate the full quote, stating: “Mehar, calm down! He has nothing to do with the constitutional amendments.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been at the forefront of campaigning for controversial constitutional amendments aimed at judicial reforms amidst intense opposition from lawyers, some factions of legal experts and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

  • Were Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks on Justice Mansoor Ali Shah misrepresented in a video clip?

Were Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks on Justice Mansoor Ali Shah misrepresented in a video clip?

A partial video clip of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto was circulating online, giving the impression that he said that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court wouldn’t be able to control the other top court judges.

Appearing on Dunya News programme, ‘Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath,’ he actually remarked, “I don’t have the confidence that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will be able to control the other judges, Some of whom have shown a tendency that be it in the 63A case, be it in the original practice and procedure case whatever their position may be today, they have time and time and time again proved that they willing to go beyond the constitution to achieve a political aim.”

He further said, “PPP respects both Chief Justice Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah,” and added that some judges have attempted several times to go beyond the 63-A Practice and Procedure case to achieve their political objectives.

Bilawal claimed that for the first time in history, a chief justice “shared his authority” with another judge, and this happened during the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa’s tenure.
