A video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on its official Twitter account shows cricketer Shahnawaz Dahani and Pakistan captain Babar Azam playing cricket with a few kids in a hotel’s narrow corridor during their quarantine.
“Quarantine = Cricket time!! Pakistan @T20WorldCup squad spending their isolation time while playing cricket with kids,” said the PCB in its post.
Babar Azam can be seen sitting on the floor of the corridor, bowling to a kid.
While fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani can be seen acting as an umpire as one kid throws a ball to another.
Pakistani cricket players are in quarantine in order to fly for the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start from October 17 in Oman, United Arab Emirates. (UAE)

A ‘missing’ man in Turkey accidentally joined a search mission to find himself, BBCreported.
A 50-year-old man from Bursa province went out to have drinks with his friends and soon after, he wandered into a forest in Inegöl in a drunk state.
Presumed missing after his family and friends could not contact him for several hours, they reported this to the local authorities who started a search operation to find him. Interestingly, the intoxicated man joined the group of volunteers and began walking with them to search for himself.
When the search group started to call out his name, the man identified as Beyhan Mutlu replied: “I am here.” He was taken aside by the rescue workers to take his statement, where he reportedly told them: “Don’t punish me too harshly, officer. My father will kill me.”
The authorities prepared a report about the incident and later dropped him off at his home.
The incident went viral on social media and netizens started making memes on it.
An emotional video is doing the rounds on social media, which shows a man’s reunion with his after 11 long years. After the father finished his long sentence in Florida jail, he reunited with his son.

US Deputy Secretary Wendy R Sherman’s visit to Pakistan
Cold receptionUnited States (US) Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R Sherman, following her visit to India, received a cold reception upon her arrival in Islamabad as per The News.
She was welcomed by a mid-level diplomat, instead of her counterpart, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood.
Reason Before coming to Pakistan, Sherman in Mumbai had made it very clear that the US was not interested in a broad relationship with Pakistan, beyond Afghanistan.
“My visit to Pakistan in the context of Afghanistan is in a bid to make sure that Pakistan has the capabilities to ensure everybody’s security, including India’s and the US,” she said at an event in India.
Meetings Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi met the Deputy Secretary on Thursday but he didn’t tweet about the meeting. However, Sherman tweeted, “I met today with Pakistan FM to discuss Afghanistan’s future and the important and long-standing US-Pakistan relationship. We look forward to continuing to address pressing regional and global challenges.”
Sherman also met Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa where matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, and collaboration in humanitarian measures in Afghanistan were discussed.
90 per cent institutions, including PM Khan’s office, decline RTI requests
The majority of government institutions and departments have declined to respond to hundreds of queries by Geo News, which were sent to them under the Right To Information (RTI) laws.
Stats The media outlet reportedly sent approximately 400 different queries to 36 key institutions in the last nine months but 90 per cent of them didn’t respond or simply declined. Only 10 per cent of queries were partially responded to by the institutions, providing either very little or patchy information.
Institutions involvedThe departments that simply refused to share any information includes the offices of the Prime Minister, President, Chief Ministers, Cabinet Members, Supreme and High Courts, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Assets Recovery Unit (ARU), Parliament, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the report states.
What is RTI? According to the Punjab Information Commission, RTI is the right that you have, as a citizen, to access information from your government and private bodies that receive public funds. It is based on the principle that information belongs to the people. Under Article 19-A of the Constitution, RTI is a fundamental right in Pakistan.

A woman at Okra Test Kitchen in Karachi yelled at a chef who reportedly asked her for her Covid vaccination certificate.

The woman can be heard saying, “Who are you to ask me about my medical record?” She also accused the chef of being in violation of the Constitution of Pakistan because he was asking for her medical records.

Apart from the meetings, while talking to The News’ editors, Sherman said she believed US President Joe Biden will soon talk to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. She said, “We have an idea that every country wants to have a telephone conversation with US President. I am sure that this conversation will be held with PM Khan soon.”
“I am sure that this contact will take place soon, so I don’t think it should mean anything else,” she added.
Moreover, while replying to a question about a bill presented in September by 22 Republican senators targeting Pakistan, Sherman assured, “We get hundreds of bills; thousands of people are behind them but we are well aware of Pakistan’s concerns and are closely looking at the situation.”
He added an emotional caption, “I’m convinced that mothers are superheroes, because they can handle anything the universe has to throw at them! Sarah, you’re not just a mother of my child but also the beat of my heart. I promise to love you and protect you and our daughter till the day I die.”
