The interview also showed clips of the actor involved in making the song, carefully listening during recording.

Atif also expressed that he had a ‘wonderful time’ working with Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed, the two women behind Gentleman. He revealed that he was presented with two different compositions, and, after careful consideration, they chose the one that became the final OST. “It was a general consensus amongst us that this choice was the one. The credit goes to them they were fair to the compositions and to the drama itself.”

Talking about how songs evolve, he added, “I believe that in every song, you learn something new, so I’m always open to learning.”

Discussing the influence of rain on music, Atif shared, “I recorded ‘Tumhari Chup’ during rainfall, and whenever I record music while it’s raining, the songs turn out well.” He also mentioned that the entire recording process took only two to three hours. The combination of Atif’s emotional singing and Naveed’s powerful composition of ‘Tumhari Chup’ has played a significant role in the early success of ‘Gentleman.’

Panicked govt brought students back from Kyrgyzstan over fake news, says journalist Azaz Syed

Journalist Azaz Syed in his political talk show ‘Talk Shock’ recently revealed that the government of Pakistan spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring back students from Kyrgyzstan over “fake news and propaganda” while no other country did that.

Syed said, “A panic spread over social media over fake news due to which students got scared and the government also panicked even though the Pakistani Ambassador over there insisted that students are safe.”

“PM Shehbaz ordered the evacuation plan for students due to which 12 chartered planes were organized,” said The News journalist.

Azaz added that the government government paid fines for the few illegal migrants that were present in Kyrgyzstan. “More than four thousand people returned and many of them had no money to travel further in Pakistan or to eat, so the government made those arrangements as well.”

Azaz noted, “All of this over fake news. Look at India, their embassy released a press release for students to stay there because there are no threats. Almost 19,000 Indian students are present there and multiple other foreign citizens were also there and none of them returned.”

He further said that most of the Pakistani students who returned “were in their initial study years while those doing their house job or final exams before graduation are still there.”

“How will the returned students continue their studies now?” asked Azaz Syed.

Fakhar Durrani, another senior journalist with The News, stated, “There was intense pressure on the government by PTI propaganda online that they completely panicked.”

UK police arrest 16 protesting against Israeli genocide of Gaza at Oxford University

UK police have arrested 16 people at a protest organised by a pro-Palestinian student group at Oxford University, in the latest flare-up on a prestigious campus over the genocide in Gaza.

Thames Valley Police said the individuals were arrested Thursday on suspicion of aggravated trespass, while one was also held on suspicion of common assault.

It follows protests in recent weeks at more than a dozen UK universities, including at world-renowned Oxford and Cambridge, emulating similar actions on campuses in the United States and elsewhere.

Demonstrators opposed to Israel’s genocide in Gaza have made various demands, including that universities sever academic and financial ties with the country.

In Oxford, the arrests came after students entered a university administrative building on Thursday morning, claiming they had “exhausted all other avenues of communication” with administrators.

“Instead of engaging in dialogue with her students, the vice-chancellor chose to evacuate the building, place it on lockdown, and call the police to make arrests,” a spokesperson for the Oxford Action for Palestine (OA4P) protest group said.

“We demand the administration meet with us to negotiate immediately.”

Videos posted on social media showed people sitting on the ground in front of a police van being dragged away by officers, as onlookers chanted “shame”.

Oxford University said in a statement that demonstrators had “gone beyond” peaceful protest, and that had “culminated in forced entry and temporary occupation” of some university offices.

It added that OA4P had “escalated their protest actions from mainly peaceful to direct action tactics”, creating a “deeply intimidating environment” to community members, including Jewish students and staff.

The university’s union, which represents academics, lecturers and staff, condemned “bringing in police to violently arrest” students who were “engaged in peaceful protest”.
