    PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, and Captain Muhammad Safdar Awan’s son Junaid Safdar married Ayesha Saif Khan in London on Sunday in a lavish ceremony. The duo tied the knot at The Lanesborough, a 5-star hotel in Knightsbridge.

    Although they hired a professional singer, Navin Kundra, who enthralled the audience with his songs, he asked Junaid to sing a song.

    Junaid impressed the guests with his singing skills, especially his wife Ayesha by crooning the chartbuster song, Kya Hua Tera Waada from the hit Bollywood film Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi starring Rishi Kapoor.

    After the videos of him singing went viral, several female celebrities have showered his singing skills with appreciation.

  • Saudi Arabia authorises Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines

    Sinovac and Sinopharm are now authorised to be used in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, the Kingdom had approved four vaccines for use: Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

    Those who had completed their immunisation regimen with Sinopharm or Sinovac could be permitted into the Kingdom if they had obtained a booster shot of a vaccine that was approved in the country, according to the Saudi Ministry of Health.

    “In the event of giving approval to any other vaccines, it will be announced at the time through the official channels approved by the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA),” the ministry said in a statement.

    In another development, Pakistan welcomed the decision of the Saudi government to allow direct travel from Pakistan to the Kingdom.

    A man left a tip of $10,000 (Rs 1,653,433) at a restaurant in the American state of Florida to reward restaurant workers for their hard work.

    “On Tuesday night, a customer asked our entire restaurant staff to come to the dining area. He thanked them for showing up and working hard,” the restaurant stated in a social media post.

    “Then something incredible happened. He told them he was giving them $1,000 each. Our staff couldn’t believe it,” the statement added.

    Wahoo Seafood Grill’s owner, Shawn Shepherd said, “I’m not usually an emotional guy, but this really got me. I’m blown away. We’re ALL blown away by his generosity.”

    “The last year and a half hasn’t been easy on this industry. We’re hurting and we’re exhausted, but this incredible act of kindness has restored our faith in humanity.”

    Faisalabad: Man ‘gang rapes’ 15-year-old fiancee with friends

    A man in Faisalabad has allegedly gang-raped his fiancée along with his three friends after intoxicating her inside a vehicle, ARY News reported.

    Police said that a man named Saif had intoxicated his 15-year-old fiancée and sexually assaulted her with his three friends in a vehicle in Faisalabad’s Awais Nagar.

    The girl’s father reported the case at Batala Colony police station. A case was registered against Saif and his three friends, Bilawal, Zeeshan and Tayyab who were also nominated.

    The complainant said that Saif kept raping the girl by threatening her of recording her indecent videos and posting them on social media. Moreover, the prime suspect Saif had also snatched Rs80,000 cash and jewellery from the girl.

    Later, they threw the girl outside her aunt’s house after one day, the police added.

    In another incident, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by unidentified robbers in front of her family in Sheikhupura district in Punjab.

    As per reports, two armed muggers allegedly gang-raped a woman and attempted to rape another woman, who was 8 months pregnant, during the robbery.

    The victim’s family have asked for justice from the higher authorities, while the victim has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan for justice.

    Punjab police have arrested the three suspects.

    We reached out to Junaid and asked him why he deleted the picture from his Instafeed. “I deleted the pic because they’re emailing me the original with pixel quality…the picture I uploaded was not clear,” he said via message, and also told us to expect pictures and videos next week that capture some “emotional moments”.

    “In technique, Sarfaraz is number one,” Omar added.

    Quetta Gladiators’ dream of winning a second PSL title was snuffed out last month after they crashed out of the tournament after the Multan Sultans defeated them.

    The Sarfaraz-led side did not perform well in PSL 6, winning only two of the 10 matches they played in the tournament — finishing at the bottom of the points table.

    Earlier this month, police registered a case against a couple for a photoshoot in front of Quaid-e-Azam’s portrait in Islamabad under Section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The case was registered on the complaint of Rashid Malik.

    The photoshoot sparked outraged on social media after journalist Ansar Abbasi requested Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat to arrest the models “who displayed extreme obscenity in public.”

  • No public transport after Oct 15 unless fully vaccinated: Asad Umar

    Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said those who have not been fully vaccinated will not be allowed to use public transport from October 15.

    Asad Umar while addressing a press conference with Dr Faisal Sultan said that that all passengers, domestic and international, travelling by air must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by September 30.

    Asad Umar further said that school teachers and staff will not be allowed to work after October 15 if they are not fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, students aged 17 and above were also given a deadline to get at least one dose of the vaccine by September 15 and the second dose before October 15.

    Full vaccination has been also made compulsory to use public transport after October 15.

    He also added that only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to attend marriage ceremonies, go to shopping malls and hotels after September 30.

    As per the National National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Pakistan recorded 4,075 cases of Covid-19 in the country.
