Several celebrity photographers shared details of the conversation on their Instagram accounts. Varinder Chawla wrote that the actors promised photographers that when their child is at an appropriate age, they will allow them to photograph her.

“Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most sought after couples in the Bollywood industry. They were blessed by a beautiful daughter ‘Raha Kapoor’ last year. Today the couple met the paparazzi personally and requested them to not click pictures of their daughter. The couple diligently explained all the obvious reasons to keep their child away from the media glare. And most importantly, the couple has promised the photographers that at the right age and time, they’ll allow to click pictures of their little munchkin. Indeed a right and positive step taken by Ranbir and Alia❤️”

Raha, in its purest form means divine path
    in Swahili she is Joy,
In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan,
In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief,
    in Arabic peace,

Zardari ka jaadu: Seven Baloch politicians join PPP after meeting him

The politicians include former provincial ministers Nawabzada Gazin Marri and Tahir Mahmood, coordinator of the Balochistan chief minister Nawabzada Jamal Raisani and Mir Fareed Raisani.

Other leaders who joined the party included Mir Abdullah Raheja, Mir Allah Bakhsh Rind and former senator and federal minister Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hassani.

The PPP co-chairman welcomed the new party members and said Balochistan and PPP have a historical affiliation.

The PPP is an integral part of Balochistan’s politics and the party will never compromise on its fight for the rights of the Baloch people, Zardari said after the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier this month, several leaders of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP)— the leading party in Balochistan— joined the PPP.

Harassment, gate crashing; Kaifi Khalil criticizes poor management at Karachi Eats

Trigger warning: videos depicting harassment and abuse
The Karachi Eat Festival took place on Sunday and reports have emerged of improper facilities as well as instances of harassment and abuse from men. Users have taken to social media to share clips of how the event was poorly managed, with many families as well as women leaving quickly to avoid untoward incidents.
On Monday Karachi Eat became the number one trending topic on Twitter, with many women and families coming forward to share their experience posting videos showing stampedes causeed by poor management, as well as women and families being harassed by stags.

Videos also emerged showing men gate crashing the event by climbing over walls.
This user shared her experience of being unable to enjoy the festival with her family, because of how difficult men had made it for them.

Other videos uploaded on Twitter are showing how little effort was made to maintain security and management at the festival

Singer Kaifi Khalil was present to perform at the festival, and one video shows him being hit by an object.
The singer addressed the matter in his Instagram stories, by sharing that he decided to stop the performance to stop women and families from being harassed by stags.
    Here is his full statement:

“Hello everyone. I would like to clarify the fake news that is circulating around about me getting injured during my performance at the Karachi Eats Event yesterday which is not true. i appreciate everyone being concerned about my well being and inquiring about it, but I am totally fine! I will say that I am extremely disappointed and upset because of what happened yesterday. Ladies that came out to enjoy the evening with their family and friends were harassed and treated inappropriately by a group of individuals that lacked decency and common sense. The event hot cancelled mid performance because I couldn’t continue with what was going on and because it became a safety concern for people in the audience as well. I request organizers to please take into consideration the safety of everyone attending when choosing the venue for such events, especially the ladies, so such accidents don’t happen. These events get organized so that people can come out to enjoy but there are some people who ruin the entire experience for everyone. This is the second time that this has happened at an event that I’m performing at and it’s disguisting and unacceptable. I’m not sure why this keeps occurring but it needs to stop. How can I perform when this happens? I request that everyone be mindful of each other and treat everyone with respect. THIS IS A MESSAGE TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT FEEL ENTITLED AND THINK IT’S ACCEPTABLE TO ACT INAPPROPRIATELY AND HARASS SOMEONE.”

The singer also shared a verse from the Quran to cement his stance to treat women with respect.

Since the event, there has been a call on social media to prevent stag men from attending festivals in order to ensure families and women can have a pleasant experience.

‘Race against time’: PM Shehbaz calls on the world to help flood ravaged Pakistan

The International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan — co-hosted by Pakistan and the United Nations — began in Geneva on Monday.

The international conference began with the words of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who said, “We will need considerable support” from the international community,” as he sought solidarity to help Pakistan achieve a “resilient” future.

The FM said that rehabilitation “continues to this day” as Pakistan battles with wide-scale destruction brought on by the environmental catastrophe.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres Monday appealed to the world to help Pakistan deal with the disaster caused by floods, saying “massive investments” are needed for the country’s rehabilitation which is expected to cost more than $16 billion.

“Even through the darkest moments, the giving spirit of the Pakistani people has shone brightly,” said Guterres, “I have seen neighbours helping neighbours with food, water and shelter”.

The UN head stated that his heart broke when he saw first-hand the active devastation of last summer’s floods. “No country deserves to endure what happened to Pakistan, but it was especially bitter to watch that country’s generous spirit being repaid with a climate disaster of monumental scale,” he said.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif again called on the world to help flood-ravaged Pakistan in his address at the International Conference on Resilient Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz said that the world was standing at a “turning point of history” today.

“One can go on and on but to truly say, we are racing against time. We are thankful for the support extended to us by the Asian Development Bank, UN, International Monetary Fund and several other international organisations.”

At the moot, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also launched the ‘Resilient Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Framework’ (4RF).

The framework outlines a vision for rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood-affected areas as well as will emphasise the need for global support and long-term partnership to implement it.

“The first part of the 4rf plan reflects the priorities for recovery and reconstruction, bearing in mind the minimum funding requirement of $16.3 billion, half of which we met from domestic resources and the remaining half with the help of development partners and friends,” PM Shehbaz said.

He said that the second part of the framework plan incorporates flood-resilient designs and infrastructure projects such as protecting key highways, railway line networks and early warning systems and capacity building for rescue and relief for future disasters.

The PM while sharing details of the scale of destruction the country has suffered said that “various parts of Sindh and Balochistan still remain under water”.

The floods, blamed on climate change, dealt a severe blow to Pakistan’s strained economy while displacing some 8 million people and killing at least 1,700.

PM Shehbaz stressed that he was asking for support for those who have lost their life savings, homes, and livelihoods and are facing the harsh winter under open skies.

“The one thing we have learned is that nothing can go back to business as usual,” the PM stressed.

“I am asking for a sustained international support plan to meet this daunting challenge, for a new lifeline for these people. Together we have to rebuild their lives and their dreams,” he concluded.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and President European Commission Ursula von der Leyen shared messages of solidarity at the event via video link.
