Toyota IMC announces another price hike for Corolla Altis X

Toyota Indus Motor Company has announced a hefty price hike for the Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 CVT variant. The popular sedan from the automaker has witnessed a price increase of Rs370,000 from its earlier price tag of Rs5,269,000.

The Altis 1.8 CVT now has a new price tag of Rs5,639,000. Earlier, the automaker also increased the price of the Altis 1.6 variants.

The company has cited the depreciation of the local currency and ongoing economic instability as reasons for the latest price increase.

An official statement from the automaker reads:

The volatile situation of Forex, increase in utilities and overheads have also impacted the cost of manufacturing for IMC. Thus, this situation has made it extremely difficult for IMC to hold the current retail selling prices, and therefore, we are compelled to pass on some impact to the market.

It is worth noting that Toyota IMC has raised car prices by up to 37 per cent since the beginning of 2022 for its cars across the board. This new price hike on top of that comes as a big surprise for Toyota lovers.

‘It affects me’: Kajol opens up about daughter Nysa’s trolling

Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s daughter Nysa Devgan may not have forayed into Bollywood yet, but she is already a digital sensation. The star kid has multiple fan pages on Instagram, and pictures of her partying with her friends often go viral on social media.

Nysa recently slayed in glamorous ethnic outfits, and while her fans shower her with love, there is also a certain section of social media users who troll her and leave nasty comments that are uncalled for. Now, Kajol has reacted to it and has shared her opinion on social media trolling.

In a conversation with ETimes, the DDLJ diva was asked how she reacts to social media trolling. She replied that she feels trolling has become a strange part of social media. She then laughed and added that if one is trolled, it just means they’re famous. “If you are trolled, you are noticed. If you’re trolled you’re famous. It’s like you’re not famous till you’re trolled,” she said. When asked if it affects her, she said that it does, but that there’s only a limit to which these things can be taken seriously. “I will be stupid and I will be idiotic to say that it does not affect me. But yes, there is a certain level that you can take it seriously.”

She further added that numerous articles are written about trolling, but when she goes and checks the comments, she finds that there are hundreds of positive comments and only one or two negative comments on which the articles are based.

Kajol then added that she explains Nysa that for every one or two trolls who post nasty comments, there are a thousand other fans who think she is fantastic. “And most important of all, what do you see in the mirror? Whose opinion matters? My opinion matters. Not your own,” she joked.

Foreign Minister (FM) and Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has predicted that the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, will not resign from assemblies despite his announcement to do so.

During the address, he noted that the army stepped back from politics, “but now, they [puppet politicians] are worried that if the institution has become neutral, then what will become of their politics.”

Bilawal told Khan that if he decides to resign from the assemblies, then the PPP and its “jiyalas” are ready to face his party.

At the start of the address, Bilawal paid tributes to his mother, former PM Benazir Bhutto and his maternal grandfather, former PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

He also shared a quote of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah regarding the role and “duty” of armed forces.

“Do not forget that the armed forces are the servants of the people and you do not make national policy; it is we, the civilians, who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted,” the quote written in an image tweeted by Khan read.

  • Samsung to launch Galaxy S23 series in February 2023

Samsung to launch Galaxy S23 series in February 2023

Samsung is just a few months away from releasing the long-awaited Galaxy S23, according to a Korean media report.

The upcoming flagship from the Korean phone maker is expected to be unveiled in the first week of February 2023 at an event.

Since the pandemic, this will be the first Unpacked event held in person. The phones will go on sale worldwide later in February after the unveiling, which is anticipated to take place in San Francisco.

This is not the first Korean report to state the Galaxy S23’s launch time and date. This might cast doubt on its veracity, but since a Samsung executive is cited, there is a good probability that it is accurate.

According to rumours, a Galaxy announcement will be made in January during CES 2023. Samsung’s S Series announcements, which are typically saved for its own Unpacked events, are not suitable for this forum. We don’t anticipate this pattern changing in the upcoming year.

Instead of the customary Exynos SoCs, all Galaxy S23 versions will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU.
