    Bride slaps groom after getting out of car at in-laws’ house on wedding day

    A bride in India slapped her husband after reaching her in-laws’ house on her wedding day. She then changed her bridal dress and returned to her parents’ house wearing casual clothes.

     As per reports,the incident happened in Lavayen village, Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district on Sunday.

    The groom’s family was preparing to welcome the bride after the wedding ceremony but the bride returned to her parents’ house.

    According to a initial inquiry, the bride slapped the groom because of a love affair.

    The wedding guests were warmly welcomed when it reached the bride’s house for the wedding rituals. The bride did not say anything even at the time of her ‘rukhsati’. However, she slapped her husband when the women of the groom’s family were about to take their newlywed daughter-in-law inside the house.

    When the families of the bride and groom could not handle the issue, they called the police. The cops tried to sort the matter but were unsuccessful.

  • Sajid Ali Sadpara to return to K2 to find his father’s dead body

    Ali Sadpara’s son Sajid Sadpara has announced that he will be summiting K2 once again to locate his father’s dead body and to make a documentary on his father, Geo News has reported.

    “I want to go to K2 to know what happened to my father and John Snorri,” adding, “I am going to attempt to summit K2. My father went to K2 this year but did not return.”

    He continued by saying, “A documentary on the life of Jon Snorri and Ali Sadpara is in the making. [I hope to] go to K2 to search [for the dead body] and make a documentary.”

     Ali Sadpara, went missing on February 5,2021 while attempting to summit K2. The news of his death was confirmed by his family on February 18.

    National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf said that if US President Joe Biden doesn’t want to talk with Pakistan, then “good luck” as no one is waiting here for his call either.

    Speaking on Geo News programme, ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Moeed Yusuf said that the current Afghanistan situation is not good.

    Yusuf complained about the lack of coordination among the Pakistani and US officials in Afghanistan, saying we came to know about the withdrawal of foreign troops from the media.

    “We don’t want anyone to insult the US but if the finger is pointed at Pakistan, then it will be responded to,” Yusuf said.

    He was responding to a question asked about Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s comments about Biden. In a recent interview, PM Khan had said that US President Joe Biden has not spoken to him since assuming office as president.

    “Whenever he has time he can speak to me. At the moment, clearly, he has other priorities,” he had told Axios anchor Jonathan Swan

    Yusuf said Pakistan’s prime minister was of the view that a military solution was not possible in Afghanistan, adding that had that advice been taken, things would have been much different.

    “Everyone wants stability in the country,” he said.

    During his interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Prince Harry commented that his family had “literally cut him off financially” in the first quarter of 2020 which attracted significant attention. However, now, officials working for Prince Charles have revealed to journalists on the financial arrangements surrounding the Sussex’s’ departure from royal life, saying that the Prince of Wales supported them with a “substantial sum” immediately after they stepped back.

    According to reports, the latest information came to light as the royal household published its annual accounts for the financial year ending in March 2020. In addition to the Sovereign Grant report, which is published by Buckingham Palace and covers the expenditure of public money, Prince Charles’s household also publishes an annual review which shows how he has spent his income from the Duchy of Cornwall.

    On expenditure in the last financial year relating to Harry and Meghan, a senior Clarence House spokesman said that Prince Charles allocated a “substantial sum to support them” with the transition towards becoming financially independent. The spokesman said this funding stopped in the summer of last year. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan later clarified that Harry’s comments about being cut off in the first quarter of 2020 were referring to the first quarter of the financial year which began in April 2020. The couple officially left royal life at the end of March 2020.

    Govt confirms tax on phone calls longer than five minutes

    The federal government has imposed a tax of 75 paisas on phone calls that exceed the duration of five minutes.

    This was announced by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin while concluding the budget discussion in the National Assembly on Friday.

    Tarin said talking over the cellphone for more than five minutes will be taxed at 75 paisas, but there will be no tax on an SMS.

    Tarin added that the government will take action against tax defaulters with the help of third party. “Arrest will be made after legal formalities.”

    As per reports, the government has decided to decrease the taxes on 1000cc vehicles while tax imposed on milk and other items has also been fixed at 10 per cent, which was earlier proposed at 17pc.

    The finance minister clarified that the federal government has not proposed any tax on flour or other items.

    Property tax has been reduced to 20 per cent from the earlier proposal of 35 per cent.

    Mentioning the government’s initiatives in the housing sector, Shaukat Tarin said now every citizen can avail bank loan to purchase or construct a house. Rs3 billion have been fixed for the payment of subsidies being offered by the government on housing loans, he added.

    For Ehsaas Programme, the finance minister said Rs260 billion have been proposed for the financial grants in the upcoming financial year 2021-22.

    PM was informed about the meeting between Asif Ali Zardari and Pervaiz Elahi

    Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Thursday that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was informed about his meeting with Asif Ali Zardari.

    Speaking to anchorperson Muneeb Farooq on Geo News programme ‘Capital Talk,’ the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader said his party is a coalition partner of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and had never betrayed their ally.

    “Before going to see Zardari sahab, I asked Moonis [Elahi] to inform PM Imran Khan about it [the meeting],” Elahi told Muneeb Farooq when asked about rumours following his surprise meeting with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader.

    Elahi said that he went to thank Zardari for his cooperation in holding unopposed Senate elections in Punjab.

    “I had talked to him before the polls on Nawaz Sharif’s request that the PPP should withdraw its candidates. We knew what were the weaknesses of all parties and what was their due share in the Senate seats. So on the basis of it, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Moonis Elahi, and I worked on it and thankfully we achieved the goal of holding an unopposed election in Punjab,” added Elahi. 

    Earlier, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry had confirmed on the Geo News show ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’ that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had informed the government about his meeting with Asif Ali Zardari.

    The meeting between the two leaders that took place earlier this week at Lahore’s Bilawal House. The Punjab government termed the meeting between the two leaders as a “storm in a teacup”.

    Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has warned that a fourth wave of coronavirus could emerge in Pakistan in the month of July.

    “Reviewed the artificial intelligence based disease modeling analysis today in NCOC,” wrote the minister in a tweet.

    “In the absence of strong SOP enforcement and continued strong vaccination program, the 4th wave could emerge in Pakistan in July,” he added.

    The minister concluded by advising people to follow Covid-related SOPs, “Please adhere to sop’s and vaccinate as soon as possible.”

    As per the national tally on Thursday, Pakistan recorded 1,052 new cases of Covid-19 , while 44 people lost their life to the deadly virus.
