Yuvraj Singh’s response to Shoaib Akhtar’s tweet will crack you up

Former Indian cricketing star Yuvraj Singh’s hilarious response to former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar’s tweet, wherein he had criticised England’s Jofra Archer, has gone viral over the internet.

As per the details, Akhtar recently slammed Archer when the latter’s bouncer left Australian batsman Steve Smith rolling on the ground.

He was seen sharing a laugh with English wicketkeeper Jos Buttler after Smith suffered a nasty blow to his head on day four of the 2nd Ashes Test at Lord’s on Sunday.

Being a paceman himself, Akhtar criticised Archer over his reaction and tweeted:

However, Akhtar’s reaction was met with a hilarious tweet by Yuvraj Singh, who wrote, “Yes you did! But your actual words were, hope you are alright mate cause there are a few more coming”.

This isn’t the first time that the cricketing legends have passed wacky comments on each other’s tweets.

In 2017, Akhtar had shared an inspirational quote by WWE icon and film star, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson:

Reacting to the tweet, Singh had tweeted in Punjab:

“Sounds good, but where are you headed for [some] welding job?”

  • UAE to give Modi its highest civilian award

UAE to give Modi its highest civilian award

At a time when Pakistan seeks Muslim nation’s support to help sort out the Kashmir issue, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is reportedly giving Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi its highest civilian award, Khaleej Times reported.

According to reports, Modi is set to visit the country on a two-day trip starting August 23, where he will receive “Order of Zayed” for his efforts to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

The award is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE.

Tensions run high on either side of the border ever since the Modi administration in New Delhi revoked Article 370 of its constitution — robbing Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) of its autonomy.

Pakistan has strongly reacted to the move that can pave way for a Muslim genocide in the troubled valley, and reached out to the world to highlight Indian atrocities.

UAE bestowing upon Modi its highest civil award at such a critical time has left people wondering if the Emirates is declaring its pro-India stance.

  • Imran Khan knew about Modi’s Kashmir move beforehand, alleges Reham Khan

Reham Khan while giving interview to an India media outlet has alleged a “deal” on Kashmir. Khaleej Times reported.

“I would say that Kashmir has been sold off. We have always heard that ‘Kashmir Banega Pakistan” she said in the interview that has gone viral on the social media.

According to Reham, the day article 370 was revoked, one of her team members called her and said “Ma’am, what you said is coming true. I told him please pray that it does not come true.”

Reham further said “Modi did what he had come with a mandate to do. But the day Imran khan was to give a policy statement (on Kashmir), he said that I knew Modi was going to do this. I knew this when I met him in Bishkek and he was rude to me. I knew this when Pulwama happened”

“When you already had an idea that this was going to happen, then why did you extend the hand of friendship towards Modi?”

  • The best drinks for your heart

The best drinks for your heart

We are all obsessed with tea, coffee, soft drinks and juice. But which drink is good for your heart?

Coffee and Tea are good for you says Harvard University

The Harvard Medical School, in its Health Publishing article, says that tea and coffee are actually good for you. They contain healthy compounds which help with artery inflammation and some studies show that people who regularly drink either coffee or tea have lower rates of heart disease. Over time, caffeine also raises your resting metabolic rate which can help with weight control (if you don’t add cream or sugar).

Juices isn’t really the best for you. Better to eat fruit

Juices, even 100 percent juice boxes, are not good for you. They have lots of sugar which are easily broken down in your body and spikes your insulin. You’re better off eating whole fruits than having them in liquid form.

Soft drinks are terrible for you

Soft drinks are terrible for your diet (but you knew that already). The added sugars contribute to weight gain, heart disease and diabetes.

Popular Sport drinks aren’t the best for your body

Sport drinks also have added sugars and artificial flavors and even though the electrolytes are good for your body, you’re better off drinking water and getting electrolyte nutrients from food.

  • Sonam Kapoor is not ‘done venting’

Sonam Kapoor is not ‘done venting’

Not the best of days for Bollywood.

After Priyanka Chopra, actor Sonam Kapoor has landed in the line of fire for her comments on Kashmir, Pakistan and patriotism.

After India revoked Article 370 which granted special status to Indian occupied Kashmir, tensions between the two neighbouring countries have reached an all-time high.

In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, Sonam had said, “It’s heartbreaking to see where the situation has landed right now but I’m very patriotic. So I think for me now it’s better to keep quiet and let this pass because even this too should pass. Our countries were one country like 70 years ago and the fact that there is so much divisive politics at play is really heartbreaking.”

Sonam continued that she is very upset about the ban on Bollywood in Pakistan because “as an artist, you want to be represented everywhere and you want your work to be shown everywhere,” adding that she was heartbroken when her film Neerja wasn’t allowed to be screened in Pakistan.

Speaking about Kashmir, Sonam said, “I think it’s very complicated and I don’t understand it as much because there is so much contrasting news everywhere so I don’t really know what the truth is.”

“I believe in having a peaceful discourse and understanding what’s going on. So when I have the complete information is when I think I can give an opinion.”

Sonam’s comments irked people on both sides of the border. While Pakistanis called her out for not seeing beyond her nationalism, Indians called her a traitor for wanting her films to be screened in Pakistan and talking about her Pakistani roots.

“I am half Sindhi and half Peshawari. It’s heartbreaking to see that part of my culture is something that I can’t explore as well because of that,” Sonam had said.

As the situation continued to boil, Sonam took to Twitter and asked everyone to calm down and “get a life.”

Regardless, the trolling on Sonam’s status continued.

Even Shaan couldn’t resist passing a comment.
