‘I know that I am a fantastic guy’; Aagha Ali breaks silence on ‘red flag’ label

Actor-singer Aagha Ali called himself a ‘fantastic guy’ while talking about how people see him and the label ‘ red flag’.

In a new interview, Aagha talked about the wrong idea people have of him as a ‘red flag’ in relationships and how it has affected him over the years.
“I was affected by what people said after COVID. I couldn’t eat for three days,” Ali recalled. “There were a lot of controversies about me, and publications wrote all sorts of things, which impacted me. I would think that these people don’t know anything, and I can’t show my entire life to them because there is another person involved whom I can’t and didn’t want to harm.”

The actor from ‘Mere Bewafa’ continued, “There was this stuff on the internet where people began to say I’m a red flag. I guess they meant I’m not good at relationships. That made me feel”

“Because I know I’m a fantastic guy, and I’m saying this because Allah knows who I am,” he said. “I love my fans so I won’t explain much. But I started from nothing, with no support or connections in the industry. I’m also unlucky in that way because I couldn’t be friends with people or get close to them—for various reasons—but still, I survived for 10 years and acted as the main character in over 90 TV series, which is a lot,” Ali concluded.

Aagha Ali clears the air: ‘I was never engaged’

In a recent post on Instagram, Aagha Ali talked about something people get wrong about him. He made it clear that he was never engaged to anyone, even though rumors to the effect were going around a few years ago. He thanked his followers for supporting him during a tough time and wanted to make sure everyone knew the truth.

Aagha shared that the relationship he ended in 2018 wasn’t an engagement. “Thanks for your nice messages. Just to make it clear: I was never engaged to anyone, and I didn’t say anything about that.”

Aagha wanted to clear things up after getting lots of support when he talked about a tough time he went through. He felt grateful for all the kindness from his fans. He wanted to make sure everyone knew the truth about his past relationship. He talked about this during a TV show in Ramadan, where he shared how hard things were for him in 2018, the problems he faced and how they changed him.
Looking back at the tough year, Aagha said, “I’m in a place now where I can talk about this. In 2018, I put almost all my money into something, like 80-90 percent of what I had in my bank. I was also in a relationship. But 2018 took all of that away from me.” Facing both money problems and personal struggles, Aagha also had to deal with people saying negative things about him in the entertainment industry. He said, “My reputation in the industry was ruined. Almost everyone talked about me in a bad way. On social media, people made me out to be a bad guy. I gained a lot of weight. I wasn’t taking care of myself at all.”

But even in the tough times, Aagha found peace and a fresh start in a holy place – a trip to Makkah. “In 2018, I went for Umrah. After that, I felt closer to God. That trip changed my life and how I saw things,” he said. He talked about how this spiritual journey changed his outlook and actions, helping him let go of negativity and find a new purpose. “My whole way of living, how I dealt with things, my personality, my anger – all the bad stuff in my life disappeared,” he said.

Thankful for how faith changed him, Aagha said, “I prayed that things would get better because I didn’t mean harm, and only God knew that. During Umrah, I prayed and cried a lot.” He talked about how much he’s changed since then. “If someone looks at a picture of me from 2018 and compares it to now, they’ll see the difference,” he said.

Aagha Ali breaks silence on rumors of separation from Hina Altaf

Actor and singer Aagha Ali has finally addressed rumors that he and Hina Altaf are separating.

In a recent interview, the ‘Matam’ actor said, “It’s been a while since I hired a housekeeper. In 2022, I decided I don’t need one anymore because I cooked a delicious beef Liam spaghetti yesterday after a long time.”

Ali told the interviewer that it’s hard for him to handle both his work and having a housekeeper because “I live alone.”

He further said, “Once I hired a housekeeper who used to work for me 24 hours, but that also didn’t work out for me as I also would need leaves from house chores.”

His comments came after he wrote a mysterious caption on one of his recent three-picture posts, which has grabbed the attention of many people on the internet, especially amid rumors of him separating from his wife on social media.
Tagged with the location stamp of Heraklion, Greece, in a seemingly rhyming fashion the caption said, “Life in blues … main confuseeee yun hokay, phir sochta hoon yar kuin halaat nai ok ! Phir ro kay, haan thoda ro kay dho Kay I get back to ma phone and say Confuse hokay, Chal koi Nai , main kalla nai, is jahan mein sab nay hi tou haan khaye hain Dhokay! It’s ok.”

His words left netizens wondering if it’s just a funny message or if there’s a hidden meaning behind it.
Meanwhile, keen-eyed social media users have also noticed that Ali and his wife, Altaf, have unfollowed each other on their official Instagram accounts. However, others were quick to point out that the ‘Matam’ and ‘Arranged Marriage’ actor have always had zero follows on their accounts, despite having 6.7 million and 1.1 million Instagram followers, respectively.

  • Hina Altaf expresses disappointment over morphed viral video, rubbishes miscarriage speculation

Hina Altaf expresses disappointment over morphed viral video, rubbishes miscarriage speculation

In an interview with BBC Urdu, actor Hina Altaf spoke about her prolonged absence from social media and how misconstrued narratives can be detrimental to an individual.

Recalling the controversy involving her husband Agha Ali in 2020, when Ali told her “never to get fat again”, the Dour star pointed out how it was just a private agreement between them as partners that was misunderstood on many levels.

“It was just a personal understanding between us as a couple that served as a motivation factor. I just said ‘Agha reminds me not to eat a lot’ casually but people took this too sensitively than expected. I strongly respect the fact that weight loss is not an easy journey for everyone. Not everyone has the time to hit the treadmill, run a few kilometers daily, or just do a quick 15-day course to lose a couple of pounds. Many people have different challenges and health problems in their path, so maintaining health definitely isn’t easy,” explained Altaf.

She then highlighted how the aforementioned incident served as a reminder to her to never openly share her views again. “I think people took our drawing room talk too seriously and compared our situation with their own. After this incident last year, I have learned that everything is not meant to be spoken on television,” noted the Agar actor.

Before concluding the conversation, Altaf mentioned how social media doesn’t really bother her anymore, except for the time someone made a doctored video on her. She said, “Looking at a few pictures online doesn’t make anyone know the whole truth behind someone’s life or relationship. However, one thing I really dislike is when people ask me about having children. Normally, I always respond that when God wills, it will happen. But my relatives once sent me a video that implied I have had two miscarriages and am currently pregnant. This video extremely hurt me. I have never said this, usually, I would have ignored it, but it made me really upset.”

Last year, Aagha and Hina shared on Waseem Badami’s show that they first met on an ARY Zindagi show that Hina hosted, however, they first got talking on an Eid show in which they were the hosts.

While Hina denied that the two fought, Aagha confirmed that the two had, in fact, had some disagreements. “I would say it was a small disagreement because it was hard to develop a comfort level since we had to host the show together for the first time,” he shared.

The two then shared just how unpredictable life is. They ended up sharing their life together when they couldn’t even share the stage when they first met!

“Sometimes we sit and talk about how unbelievable it is! I could’ve never thought that I’d end up with Aagha and vice-versa. But we’re blessed,” said Hina Altaf.

When and how did they decide to get married then? Aagha shared that their friendship blossomed went they were cast together in a serial. “The show’s name was apt because we were in fact lost, and perhaps we were meant to find the right way to each other’s hearts and that’s how we became friends through that project,” he said.

Aagha termed their marriage a blend of friendship and arranged marriage, thanks to Hina becoming great friends with his mom who pushed him to pursue her for marriage.

“I had told Aagha that I want to settle down and that I was looking forward to settling down soon, and Aagha took that seriously,” said Hina Altaf, adding, “Aagha’s younger brother also pushed us to get our nikkah done on Jumma tul wida, and his mother and my father also wanted it to happen as soon as possible so.”

The actor further revealed that she had even shot a few scenes for the drama. During the show, Chaudhry also played a clip from the drama serial that featured Urwa and Humayun Saeed.

Urwa further shared: “After wrapping up my initial shoot, I started working on the production of my upcoming film Tich Button when Nadeem Baig called me and said that Mohammad Ahmed Sahab, who was playing the role of my father, has to leave for Canada so I had to spare a week to shoot my scenes with him.”

“At that point, it was impossible for me as I was so caught up in production work. So I had to leave the project because of the date clash and I regret my decision,” said the actor further.

Hira Mani was later roped in to play Miss Hania and the actor received a lot of applause for her performance. Meray Paas Tum Ho was a blockbuster hit breaking all records and the finale was even screened in cinemas with sold-out shows.

Meanwhile, Hocane also talked about her first venture as a producer Tich Button which features Farhan Saeed, Iman Aly, Sonya Hussayn and Feroze Khan.

“The film will be release, once the cinemas are fully operational again,” said Hocane.

Earlier this year on his show Faizan has lashed out at Punjab government for halting the release of Abu Aleeha’s Javed Iqbal starring Yasir Hussain and Ayesha Omar.

The hosting duo of Faizan and Aadi Adeal Amjad criticised the decision and justified the film by saying that the film based on a serial killer has viewer rating of over 13 years old, so it shouldn’t be an issue in their perspective.

Aadi went onto compare it with the Hollywood biggie Joker, and asked that if they can release Joker then why not Javed Iqbal.

Abu Aleeha’s film Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer. The Ayesha Omar and Yasir Hussain-starrer, which is set for its countrywide premiere tomorrow (January 28) after several months of postponement, has had its release in Punjab halted by the Punjab government, according to the director.

The film is based on the investigation into Javed Iqbal, the serial killer who killed 100 young boys in Lahore and sent evidence of his crimes to the authorities and media in 1999. The film has been directed by Abu Aleeha who has written the screenplay of the film as well. It’s been produced by Javed Ahmed Kakepoto.

Several social media platforms reported about Javed Iqbal’s release being halted by the Punjab government, despite having clearance from all censor boards. The report was later confirmed by Abu Aleeha on Twitter. “The latest news is that [Chief Minister] Sardar Usman Buzdar’s government has stopped the showing of Javed Iqbal. This unwarranted action comes after the censor board approved the film, which is why we will be [taking the matter] to the high court,” he said.

The film had its Karachi premiere at Nueplex Cinema on January 25, attended by the cast and crew as well as other members of the entertainment fraternity.

Earlier, this year in July Faizan called out Pakistan’s justice system in a series of Instagram stories. The Mazedaar Show host slammed the system by adding hashtags reflecting violence against women and children in the country.
