    Aamir Liaquat leaked video case: Dania Shah released on bail

    Dania Shah, the estranged wife of the late Dr Aamir Liaquat, has been granted bail on Tuesday by Sindh High Court.

    The high court issued its decision on Dania Shah’s February 8 bail plea.

    A previous bail application had been denied by the district and sessions court in Karachi. Subsequently, Dania Shah approached the high court and claimed that no evidence had been uncovered against her, pleading that the court should release her on bond and end the legal remand.
    The SHC, while accepting bail of late Aamir Liaquat’s wife against surety bonds of Rs200,000, ordered police to release her from jail.

    Aamir Liaquat, a televangelist and politician, was found dead at his home on June 9 in Karachi.

    A few months before his death, videos surfaced online showing Dr Aamir in compromising positions, allegedly shot in secret and released by Dania Shah.

    UK removes Pakistan from list of ‘high risk’ countries

    The United Kingdom on Monday removed Pakistan from its list of “high risk” countries, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari tweeted.
    “Some good news. The United Kingdom has officially removed Pakistan from its list of ‘High Risk Third Countries’ following our early completion of FATF action plans,” the minister wrote in a tweet.

    “His Majesty’s Treasury issued an amendment to the UK’s High-Risk Third Countries’ list ON November 14, 2022, through a Statuary Instrument. The amendment removes Pakistan from the list in accordance with the decision taken by the FATF on October 21, 2022,” the official document read.

    “The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office recognizes the progress Pakistan has made to improve money laundering and terrorist financing controls,” it further added.

    The UK government included Pakistan to its list of 21 high-risk nations with inadequate measures in place to combat money laundering and terrorism funding in April 2021.

    Actor Ushna Shah has said that people should stop watching television and use social media if they feel celebrities are responsible for spreading vulgarity.

    The celebrity said that people with ethics and morals who think of celebrities as being inferior and responsible for spreading vulgarity should stop watching television and stop using social media.

    Taking to Twitter, Shah wrote, “Show your gherat (honour) please.”

    Earlier, the Balaa star had advised parents to raise their children by themselves instead of relying on celebrities to do so.

    The celebrity posted a bit of rather angry, but important advice for parents whose children are old enough consume online entertainment content.

    She clarified that the private life of celebrities is none of other people’s business.

    Shah went on to say that if it is good enough for the children in the families to see the content, but not good enough for the parents, then don’t allow them to use Instagram or ban them from showbiz stars’ social media pages.

    Directed and produced by Haseeb Hassan, the ensemble star cast also includes Hina Bayat, Javed Sheikh, Yasra Rizvi and Dur e Fishan in pivotal roles.

    While talking to a local news outlet, the Fitoor star confirmed the web series and said, “You are going to see me romancing Zara Noor Abbas in this one and it’s something really nice.” Moreover, Wahaj expressed his gratitude for the chance to work with the acclaimed writer Umera Ahmad and famed director Haseeb Hassan.
