Actor Adnan Siddiqui recently wrapped up his hosting stint on Pakistan’s biggest reality show, Tamasha. The reality show was inspired by the global format of Big Brother show, which is adapted as Bigg Boss in India.
Adnan had dinner with the Tamasha inmates in the last week of the show. Now in the first week of Bigg Boss 16, host Salman Khan enters the house to have dinner with the contestants.
The Ahista Ahista star took notice of Salman’s latest act and took to his Instagram stories to share a cryptic post.
The actor shared a collage showing how he dined with his contestants first and the Ek Tha Tiger star followed it later.
Siddiqui captioned his post as, “My dear friends/critics, I rest my case.”
Earlier Adnan and Tamasha’s makers were scrutinised for copying Bigg Boss, and the lack of novelty in the show’s basic format.
The leading channel in Pakistan, ARY Digital is releasing its much-awaited reality show today. The show is reported to be the biggest reality show in Pakistani television history. There will be fourteen controversial celebrities from the entertainment industry who will be kept in a house for six weeks, with all of them totally disconnected from the outside world. Adnan Siddiqui is going to host a show that will be full of surprises.
While the names of four contestants are still under wraps, here’s the list of some of the contestants participating in Tamasha.
Maira Khan:
Maira is known for her impactful performances in dramas. She’s been working for more than a decade in the industry and her dramas include ‘Susraal Ke Range Anokhe’, ‘Bewafa’ and ‘Cheekh’. She has also worked in several films including ‘Durj’ and ‘Chambaili’.
Rauf Lala:
Comedy King Rauf Lala doesn’t need any introduction as he is known and appreciated not only in Pakistan but around the globe due to his excellent comic timing and acting. Rauf Lala will also be seen in the Tamasha House.
Omer Shahzad:
A talented model, singer, and actor, Omer Shahzad is winning hearts with everything he’s been doing for years in the industry. Recently Omer Shahzad got much popularity with his impressive performances in dramas like ‘Bharaas’ and ‘Mere Humsafar’.
Saeeda Imtiaz:
A talented model and actress, Saeeda Imtiaz is famous for Javed Sheikh’s film ‘Wujood’ which was released in 2018.
Umer Aalam:
Umer Aalam is a young actor who’s been making impactful appearances in dramas for a couple of years. His dramas include ‘Pehli Si Mohabbat’, ‘Nehar’ and ‘Koyal’.
Faiza Khan:
An already celebrated model and actress Faiza Khan is famous for his debut serial ‘Meherposh’. Faiza is also going to be locked in the Tamasha House.
Noman Javed:
Noman Javed is a popular musician and vocalist who also came in limelight after his marriage and them divorce with actress Jaana Malik.
HumairaAsghar:
Humaira Asghar is a model and actress who has worked in several tv shows including ‘Benaam’, ‘Naashukri’ and ‘Siraat e Mustaqeem’. Humaira was also misunderstood as TikToker Nousheen Syed aka Dolly recently after the latter got criticised for setting a forest area on fire for a video.
Saim Ali:
Saim Ali is a famous model, actor, and host who has been working in the entertainment industry for almost 8 years. He has done several shows and dramas as an actor and host.
Seher Baig:
Seher Baig is a fitness trainer and marathon runner who will be locked inside the Tamasha House alone with other contestants.
Mareeha Safdar
Mareeha is a model and make-up artist. She also did a prominent role in Bollywood’s Houseful 3 opposite Akshay Kumar.
Aadi Adeel Amjad
Aadi is a seasoned host and comedian who is known for his comic timing and controversial posts.
ARY Digital’s biggest reality show is set to go on-air from 20th August (Saturday).
Actor Adnan Siddiqui is currently enjoying the positive feedback to his home production, Dum Mastam, featuring Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan.
While promoting his film, the Mere Paas Tum Ho star exclusively opened up on his interesting interaction with his costars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after wrapping up their Hollywood film, A Mighty Heart.
He revealed earlier that while chatting casually after their wrap-up, Adnan expressed his desire for there to be a kissing scene between him and Jolie in the film, in front of the entire cast.
Actor Momin Saqib hilariously added that, “Angelina kay pati dev wahan thay, aur inho ne ashleel baatien shuru kardi.”
Earlier he also shared details of the incident on Tonite With HSY.
Brad took it jokingly and just laughed it off whereas Angelina gave him a sly smile. The Salt diva also took it as a spirited joke.
In 2021 he shared throwback photos with Angelina and Brad Pitt from a party at Taj Mahal.
He wrote, “What are the odds that some bygone treasures will pop up on my phone memory a day after I mused about what memories leave in their wake when they come calling!”
“A Mighty Heart will always hold an indisputably prized place in my heart for professional and personal reasons,” he referred to the film with Angelina Jolie.
“Looking at these photographs, I suddenly have an overwhelming urge to go back in time at The Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba and relive the glory days.”
The film was directed by Michael Winterbottom and was co-produced by Brad Pitt. The project also starred the late Irrfan Khan and released in 2007.
Pakistani star Adnan Siddiqui refused to attend an event in the United States (US) after he learnt that some Indian artists have also been invited.

Adnan Siddiqui has refused to attend the event because of the derogatory remarks made by BJP spokespersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal. India’s ruling party suspended Sharma and expelled Jindal. The two also issued public apologies. The Biden administration in the United States (US) had also condemned the derogatory remarks made by BJP spokespersons.
Writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar took to his social media handle to school Punjab police for their conduct with the protestors.
While posting a video of a protestor, Qamar penned a heartfelt note.
The Mere Paas Tum Ho writer stated that “the government will eventually go but you (police) will only be left with hatred in your kitty.”
Large-scale skirmishes between the Punjab police and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers erupted in the provincial metropolis on Wednesday when the law-enforcers blocked their routes for their participation in the ‘Azadi March’, announced by party chairman Imran Khan.
Dozens of PTI workers and leaders were arrested including former Punjab health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Andaleeb Abbas, Zubair Niazi, Mian Mamunur-Rasheed, Ejaz Chaudhry, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, and former vice chairman Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell Nasir Salman. However, most of the leaders were released soon after their arrest.
The party workers responded to the call given byImran Khan, who had been demanding immediate dissolution of assemblies and announcement of date for general election. The government’s plan that not a single vehicle should get out of Lahore,however, failed.
Police tear-gassed and lathi-charged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf marchers at Batti Chowk and Bhatti Gate area whenthey attempted to remove containers, placed on roads. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaflawyers and workers had scuffles with the police outside Aiwan-e-Adl and Post Master General Office. Police subjected lawyers to torture outside the Aiwan-e-Adl. A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader, Zubair Niazi,was injured during a scuffle with the police. He was also arrested, but lawyers managed to rescue him from police. Lawyers also removed barriers from in front of Aiwan-e-Adl.
The lawyercaravan clashed with the police, broke barriers and left for Islamabad. Police damaged busses, hired by lawyers for the marchers. The marchers were also intercepted at Shahdara. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers removed all containers at Batti Chowk, Ravi Bridge, Niazi Chowk and Shahdara and cleared the roads to move towards Islamabad.
Meanwhile, another Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf caravan, led by Hammad Azhar, managed to overcome obstacles and leave Lahore for Islamabad. However, he received a minor injury. The police stopped the PTI workers about 100 metres before the Ravi Bridge.
Police refused to allow Dr Yasmin Rashid to move towards Batti Chowk. When she tried to move ahead, the policemen hit her vehicle with a heavy stick,damaging badly the windscreen. Shahdara and Farrukhabad areas were turned into battlefield where the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers offered resistance and managed to cross the city by removing the obstacles.
The marchers threw tear-gas shells back at police and threw stones and bricks. Police resorted to baton-charge and fired tear-gas shells from Ravi Toll Plaza to Shahdara Chowk, which forced the PTI workers to disperse for some time.
Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider recently shared the first look of his forthcoming short film, Main Shah Rukh Khan Hoon directed by Badar Mehmood.
Ever since the poster has been released, it was speculated that maybe this is Khan’s Pakistani biopic.
However Mohsin exclusively revealed to The Current that, “This is not SRK’s biopic, this is the story of an aspiring actor who wants to make it big and has grand ambitions. The boy is very impressed by Shah Rukh and is his fan, the story revolves around how SRK impacts his acting career.”
The Na Maloom Afraad star added further that he is playing five characters in the film and he is very excited about the same.”
Earlier the talented actor-host shared his fan moment after he received an autograph from one of the superstars from Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.
In an Instagram post, Mohsin shared his excitement about receiving SRK’s hand written autograph. “Fan Moment, Finally Received The Autograph Of A Man Whose Story/Struggle Inspired Me In My Struggling Days. Who Motivates Me. A Self Made Superstar, My Mentor, The King, The Legendary Sir,” he wrote.
The Mom star shared his great experience of meeting the veteran politician.

Mom star uploaded a selfie on December 24 with the Oscar-winning musician, AR Rahman on his Instagram. He shared his experience as the evening not to be forgotten ever after listening live singing from AR Rahman.
Adnan said, “I was supposed to fly back on December 21, stayed put another day only to see A R Rahman sahib perform live.”
The live performance lasted for around three hours where people were standing for listening to his soulful music. He considered it a privilege that he immersed in his ethereal music.
He also revealed the humility of a legendary musician and international icon, who took him backstage to introduce his crew.
He added, “Not everyone can be Mr AR Rahman.”
Last month, Popular Indian singer Arijit Singh performed at a concert in Dubai Abu Dhabi. During the concert, the Channa Mereya singer took out the time to praise Pakistani singers, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Later, he went on to sing the popular song of Atif Aslam’s Pehli Nazar Mein from the Bollywood film, Race.

Actor Osman Khalid Butt recently took to his Twitter to lash out at primary suspect, Zahir Jaffer in the Noor Mukadam murder case.

The actor made his remarks in the response to Jaffer who retracted his confessional statement and refuted all the allegations of the murder of Noor Mukadam.

Earlier this month, a local court in Islamabad, requested the Islamabad High Court (IHC) grant additional time to complete the trial. The murder trial began in October 2021.
Noor Mukadam was brutally murdered in Islamabad on July 20 at Zahar’s residence. Her death sparked national outrage, including protests and candlelight vigils across the country. The Islamabad police arrested main suspect Zahir on the night of July 20 from his house.
