TRAILBLAZER: HUM TV’s cinematic tribute of blockbuster serial ‘Parizaad’

The finale screening of drama serial was held in Lahore last week and it was attended by the ensemble cast and crew of the show.

The grand screening was attended by prominent industry veterans like Sania Saeed and Resham apart from the stellar ensemble cast of the play headlined by Ahmad Ali Akbar, Naumaan Ijaz, Saboor Aly and Ushna Shah.

What made the event special was the press conference after the screening, in which the cast and makers of the show spilled candid details.

Ahmad revealed that he initially refused the drama but later agreed to do it after reading the entire script and it made him cry.

Produced by Momina Duraid, the masterpiece has been directed by Shahzad Kashmiri of Yaqeen Ka Safar fame.

Ahmad Ali Akbar responds to Faisal Javed, Zhalay Sarhadi’s appreciation for his work in blockbuster ‘Parizaad’

Lal Kabootar actor, Ahmed Ali Akbar appreciated the acknowledgment by PTI Senator Faisal Javed on his performance in HUM TV’s drama Parizaad.

PTI Senator penned on his Twitter, ” A character getting more fame than the actor behind it, it is a huge acknowledgment of an actor’s outstanding performance. Such is the case with Ahmed Ali Akbar.”

The actor took to his Instagram story to thanked his praise and tagged him as well.

Ehd-e-Wafa actor also thanked TV actor, Zhalay Sarhadi for her praise for his acting in Parizaad.

Multiple Bollywood actors including Vikram Kapadia of Bazaar fame, Darshan Jariwala of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani fame, and Namit Das of Wake Up Sid fame indulged in an online chat about the drama when the Kapoor & Sons star posted an appreciation note for the drama and it’s star Ahmed Ali Akbar.

Indian designer Manish Malhotra also used the OST of the hit drama for his promotional video proving that Parizaad is not only loved in Pakistan but has a strong following across the border as well.

The last episode of Parizaad will be screened in cinemas nationwide on January 28, 2022 (today)

Ahmed Ali Akbar hopes to feature on Naswar packet after ‘Parizaad’ chips

Pakistani actor Ahmed Akbar is being showered with love and applause after his exceptional acting skills in ongoing drama Parizaad. The actor recently turned to his Instagram to share a photo from a chips pack by a local manufacturer.

“Ya Allah tera shukar bas ab naswar bhi (Thanks to Almighty Allah! Now we need Naswaar), he hilariously captioned alongside his post.

Parizaad is a story of a boy born in an underprivileged family. The drama also features Mashaal Khan, Ushna Shah, Saboor Aly, Yumna Zaidi and more.

Actor Adeel Afzal aka Nasaaz from Parizaad has also grabbed attention after his phenomenal acting in the drama. While talking about Ahmad, he shared how he helped him during the shoot to portray his character.

The ace designer used an instrumental version of the OST.

The feature gave credit to Waqar Ali, the song’s composer.

The story has been penned by Hashim Nadeem and is based on his novel by the same name.

Apart from the stellar performances and great narrative, the OST in itself has a separate fanbase; it is sung in Asrar’s powerful voice which gives more depth to the heartbreaking lyrics.

Naumaan Ijaz speaks about brief screen time in ‘Parizaad’

Actor Naumaan Ijaz interacted with fans on his latest Instagram picture’s comment section. The Raqeeb Se star was questioned by multiple fans about his character Behroz’s brief screen timing in the Ahmed Ali Akbar, Saboor Aly and Urwa Hocane starrer Parizaad.

Nauman replied to his fans that it is not his fault that his role was winded up in the screenplay so early, he blamed the writer Hashim Nadeem of Khuda Aur Mohabbat fame for his limited screen time in the hit serial.

The Dobara star was appreciated by fans for his performance in the play.

The Mera Saaien hero confirmed that he will be sharing the screen space for the first time with his son Zaviyar in forthcoming drama, Sang-e-Mah co-starring Atif Aslam, Kubra Khan and Hania Amir.

Imran Abbas, Zahid Ahmed praise Ahmed Ali Akbar for his performance in ‘Parizaad’

A-list actors Imran Abbas and Zahid Ahmed have praised Ahmed Ali Akbar’s performance in his on-going serial Parizaad.

The Koi Chand Rakh star recently posted his thoughts on the drama serial Parizaad, which has been receiving acclaim from audiences and celebrities alike. It is based on Hashim Nadeem’s novel of the same name and follows the story of a neglected man with low self-esteem who sets out to prove himself. The Ehd-e-Wafa actor is playing the lead and has been receiving positive reviews for his performance.

“Parizaad is certainly the best serial I have seen in recent times with unconventional, strong script, best direction, incredible acting of each and everyone, especially Ahmed Ali, and superb production,” Imran wrote, calling the project a lesson to learn from for those who are looking to experiment with different story lines and taking creative risks.

The Laal Kabootar hero turned to his Instagram stories and thanked Imran for “enjoying it.”

Earlier, Zahid Ahmed also lauded Ahmed and said: “What a performance by Ahmed in Parizaad! Take a bow buddy brilliantly done!”

While Ali Rehman Khan, Shuja Haider, Yumna Zaidi, Mashal Khan and many others have praised the actor.

Parizaad features an ensemble cast of Yumna Zaidi, Ushna Shah, Urwa Hocane, Nauman Ijaz, Mashal Khan, Leyla Zuberi and others. The drama premiered on July 10 and 12 episodes have aired on HUM TV so far.

Sajal Aly reveals her favourite scene from Ahad’s ‘Ehad-e-Wafa’

Drama serial Ehad-e-Wafa is amongst the biggest television blockbusters of recent times. Featuring A-list stars like Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Wahaj Ali, Ahmad Ali Akbar, Zara Noor Abbas and Alizeh Shah, it was based on the lives of four friends with a military backdrop.

Superstar Sajal Aly took to her Instagram stories to reveal her favourite scene from the drama, she added that this scene is amongst her favourites from local television ventures.

The scene features actor Ahmad Ali Akbar, his character informs his parents that he has passed his CSS exams.

The Yeh Dil Mera star has previously worked with Ahmad in Mera Yaar Miladay.

The Mom diva was last seen in Atif Aslam’s song Rafta Rafta.

Did you know ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’ was shot in 16 cities?

Apart from a stellar star cast, Hum TV and ISPR’s joint project Ehd e Wafa also boasted some breathtakingly beautiful shots of Pakistan. And it turns out that the drama was shot in 16 cities across the country.

Osman Khalid Butt, who played the spoiled Malik Shahzain, revealed this little fun fact in a social media post in which he thanked director Saifee Hasan for his unrelenting effort in making the drama. Butt also shared that the drama’s shoot was spread over nine months.

The last bumper episode of the drama was released on Sunday (March 14). It was initially supposed to be screened in cinemas but the coronavirus outbreak lead to a closure of cinemas across the country.

Earlier Zara Noor Abbas also took to social media to share some fun BTS from the sets of the drama and thank her co-stars for the experience. She also offered “special thanks to Col Asif and Major General Asif Ghafoor for all his love and hard work for this project which was his dream to fulfil.”

Directed by Saifee Hassan and written by Mustafa Afridi, Ehd-e-Wafa is centred around the SSG, short for Secret ‘S’ Gang, consisting of Shehryar (Ahmed Ali Akbar), Shariq (Wahaj Ali), Saad (Ahad Raza Mir) and Shahzain (Osman Khalid Butt). The series won the hearts of the audiences because of its heartwarming storyline and great performances by the ensemble cast which also includes Alizeh Shah, Hajra Yamin, Vaneezah Ahmed, Zara Noor Abbas, Faraz Yahya, Syed Muhammad Ahmed and Adnan Samad Khan (Gulzar) among others.

Kashmir, Kartarpur, Abhinandan, Humayun Saeed: ‘Ehd e Wafa’s finale will have it all

Ehd e Wafa’s last episode is coming to cinemas on March 14 and it appears that audiences will be in for a thrilling ride. At least, that’s what the trailer promises.

To celebrate ‘Surprise Day’ – the day Abhinandan’s plane was shot down in Pakistani airspace – Momina Duraid Films released a trailer for the last episode of the super hit drama serial.

The two-minute teaser doesn’t give away much but introduces two new characters in the drama – Major Humayun and Indian Airforce’s Wing Commander Abhinandan. It is likely that the episode will shed light on the retaliatory attack by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after India’s Balakot airstrike.

Apart from that, there is also a glimpse of the Kartarpur Corridor which marked a monumental moment in Pakistan’s history and action on the Line of Control.

The teaser ends with an injured Captain Saad (Ahad Raza Mir) trudging through the trees.
