    Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor landed in a controversy recently when his comment on his wife Alia Bhatt went viral on social media. Netizens felt Ranbir body-shamed Alia when he said that she has ‘pheloed’. The Raazi star is expecting her first child with Kapoor. The comment went viral on social media and the actor was slammed left, right and centre.

    Ranbir has now clarified his comment and issued an apology to fans who were hurt by his words.

    The actor, at an event on Wednesday, said that he loves his wife and that comment was a joke that didn’t land. He also clarified that it wasn’t his intention to hurt anyone. “Yes, absolutely. Firstly, let me start with, I love my wife with everything that I have in my life. And what happened on that, I think it’s a joke that didn’t turn out to be funny. I really want to apologize if I have triggered anyone. It was not my intention. So I want to say sorry to people who got offended or triggered,” said the actor. Ranbir also said that he spoke to his wife about it and she really laughed it off. “She didn’t mind it. But I do have a bad sense of humour and sometimes it falls flat on my own face. So I am sorry if I have hurt anyone about it,” the actor said at the event.

    However prior to Ranbir’s apology, actor Ahmad Ali Butt’s wife and former model Fatima Khan slammed Ranbir for his derogatory remarks.

    Fatima posted on her Instagram stories, “Stupid joke by an insensitive jerk. Poor girl was flabbergasted and speechless because of being embarrassed. Don’t know when will men understand the stress, insecurities and vulnerabilities, a woman go through during pregnancy.”

    Khan concluded by mentioning, “If such an educated man can be so ignorant, I have no hope left.”

    Actor Ahmad Ali Butt took to his Instagram stories to take a jibe at PM Shehbaz Sharif for load shedding across country.

    It is being reported that cue to higher demand and reduced generation due to fuel shortages, reduced gas supplies to power plants, Pakistan is experiencing 6-10 hours of electricity load-shedding.

    Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif and former Minister of Energy Hammad Azhar exchanged accusing remarks on Twitter.

    “Mian Nawaz Sharif’s government halted the worst load-shedding in five years,” the Prime Minister declared in a tweet. The PTI administration failed to procure fuel on schedule or fix power plants. As a result, present load shedding is in effect. Power generation costs the population Rs100 billion per month due to inefficient plants. “We’re working on it”.

    The Punjab Nahi Jaungi star told PM that the problem of load-shedding that he has claimed to be working on, wasn’t during Imran Khan’s tenure.

    In February 2021, PTI MNA and host Aamir Liaquat Hussain posted a video on his official Instagram handle in which he hit out at trolls for comments on his viral videos with his third wife, Syeda Dania.

    He tagged actor Ahmad in the caption.

    Butt earlier shared his stance on Aamir for letting his personal videos with wife circulate on social media.

    A video of the couple made the rounds on the internet platforms and the Jawani Phir Nahi Aani star reacted to the clip.

    Taking to his Instagram story, the Parey Hut Love actor wrote, “When you post something from the privacy of your bedroom, just remember you invited the whole world in. So don’t complain after, if they don’t leave.”

    On the work front, Ahmed will be seen next in Punjabi Hatte Dinde Chakk opposite Neeru Bajwa and Gippy Grewal.

    Actor, Ahmed Ali Butt took to his Instagram handle to lash out at Australian cricketer, James Faulkner who was accused of misconduct by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over a payment dispute for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) event.

    The cricketer threw his bat and helmet from the lobby in aggression when the negotiations failed between PCB and Faulkner on Friday.

    He left the PSL event midway after a bitter confrontation with PCB and damaged the hotel property.

    He accused PCB of not honouring contractual agreements/payments. Whereas, PCB and Quetta Gladiators (the team from which he was playing) denied all allegations and released an official press release explaining the matter in detail.

    In wake of misbehaviour and unprofessional attitude, PCB and franchise unanimously agreed that James Faulkner will not be drafted in future HBL Pakistan Super League ‘s events.

    Pakistan’s pop singer Ali Azmat recently appeared on Ahmad Pansota’s show and talked about Pakistani Music and Arts. He also talked about the veteran singer Noor Jehan, a musical legend who is celebrated transnationally.

    While Talking about the music industry of Pakistan’s transition over the years, the Jazba Junoon singer mentioned: “In my childhood, Noor Jehan used to sing on a show draped in Saari with big earrings and extra makeup on. We used to hate that woman.”

    Passing ageist comments, he said: “Looked like a meatball, she was an old age woman at that time and we used to think that it’s not necessary for us to watch it.”

    Noor Jehan’s grandson Ahmed Ali Butt also reacted to singer’s remarks about his grandmother.

    Taking to Instagram, the Parey Hut Love actor shared a lovely throwback photo of Noor Jehan and responded to Ali Azmat’s comments, saying his recent remarks were just in ‘bad taste’ especially when that person is no longer alive.

    He wrote “My Late Grandmother Madam Noor Jehan ‘Is’ the greatest artist of the subcontinent and that’s a fact.

    “I have always respected Ali Azmat as an artist and as a friend. He is one of Pakistan’s biggest rock star, his outspoken attitude has always been his trademark but his recent remarks over Noor Jehan, were just in bad taste especially when that person is no longer alive.”

    Meanwhile, Azmat took to Instagram and shared a video in which he said, “My respect, admiration and love for Madam and her family does not need any validation from people who edit old videos to create controversies.”

    Ahmed Ali Butt, known for his comedy roles, came forward and shunned those who are bullying Sadaf Kanwal over her remarks. He called out people who are making a mockery of a woman.

    His wife Fatima Khan also shared her thoughts on the matter, saying: “Liberals fail to practice what they preach about tolerance.”

    She also wrote a detailed note on women attacking a woman.

    Actor and host Noor Bukhari also supported Sadaf, saying that whatever she said is in accordance with the true teachings of Islam.

    Recently, Yasir Hussain took to social media bashed the bloggers who are using dancing pictures of the actor.

    “Mujhy aik samajh nahi aati k Sadaf ki 50 hazar Khoobsurat pictures mai se ye aik dance wali picture hi kyon post ki jati hai? Dance buri cheez nahi magar mai bloggers ki is image building ko bakhoobi samajhta hun,” wrote Yasir addressing the social media websites.

    Ahmed Ali Butt spills his weight loss secrets

    Ahmed Ali Butt has revealed that he lost a whopping 25kgs over a period of six months.

    Talking to Vasay Chaudhry during his show Ghabrana Mana Hai, Butt opened up on his weight loss journey besides talking about his marriage and upcoming projects.

    “The isolation period during COVID-19 helped me a lot in my weight loss journey,” shared Butt. “After Ramadan, I started fasting regularly for a few months. It became an effective and helpful cycle for me.”

    “It took six or seven months to reduce my weight but when I came in [the] public after losing 15kg weight, everyone was shocked,” said the actor further, adding that he has “lost 25kgs weight till now”.

    Butt also talked about his experience of shooting for an international Punjabi film Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi, saying that it was amazing. The actor also revealed that he has signed another movie, hinting that he will be doing a serious role in his upcoming project.

    Talking about his marriage, Butt shared that he and his wife Fatima were in a long-distance relationship for over nine years.

    “We were great friends and then we were together for nine years,” he told Chaudhry. “She was in London, I was here so we just used to stay connected via calls. It was a very expensive relationship! But after nine years, we got married and have been married for seven years now.”

    Butt also shared that he has known his wife for 20 years. The couple together have a son Azaan.

    When the host asked him about the time he was caught red-handed by his wife, Butt said: “She usually catches me.”

    “Red-handed. I’ve been caught red-handed twice,” he laughed. To this, Chaudhry asked: “Doing what?” and Butt replied: “I won’t tell you that!”

    In response, Chaudhry remarked: “It’s better to clarify before you are caught in a very Naumaan Ijaz moment.”

    To which Butt said: “I don’t think that would happen cause I never stare at other women. But I had these old messages on my phone that she [my wife] saw.”

    Humayun Saeed is “overwhelmed beyond words” after receiving the Pride of Performance award from President Dr Arif Alvi for his contribution to the Drama and Film industries of Pakistan.

    Sharing a picture of himself with his medal on Instagram, Saeed said: “Extremely very grateful and humbled by all the messages of love and adulation I have been receiving. Thank you so much my beloved fans, friends and family for your constant support and encouragement.”

    “The Pride of Performance is my most special accolade for it is a recognition by the State,” said Humayun. “I have always firmly believed that being Pakistani is my only true identity and have tried my utmost best to make Pakistan proud.”

    “Any award that Pakistan gives to me thus will always remain closest to my heart,” he added.

    Humayun also promised to work even and do everything in his capacity to “serve our beloved country.”

    “I once again, in all humility, thank each and every one of you for your love. I am overwhelmed beyond words.”

    Many of Humayun’s friends and colleagues including Mahira Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Ahmed Ali Butt, Sajal Aly, Vasay Chaudhary and Shaan Shahid congratulated the super-hit actor-director-producer for receiving the ‘deserving award.’

    Meanwhile, several other notable Pakistanis were also recognised for their contributions in different fields at the investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

    President Alvi presented various awards to 88 recipients including six Nishan-e-Imtiaz, three Hilal-e-Imtiaz, 24 Sitara-e- Shuja’at, eight Sitara-e-Imtiaz, 14 President’s Award for Pride of Performance, one Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam, one Sitara-e-Khidmat, one Tamgha-e-Pakistan, 22 Tamgha-e-Shuja’at and eight Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

    Prominent personalities who received the Nishan-e-Imtiaz include Sadiqain Naqvi (Art), Abida Parveen (Singing), Ahmad Faraz (Literature) while Bushra Ansari (Art), Syed Farooq Qaiser (Art) and Sultana Siddiqui (Art) received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz. Maulana Tariq Jameel (Religious Scholar), Muhammad Ali Shehki (Singing), Resham (Acting), Humayun Saeed (Acting) and Ali Zafar (Singing) were conferred the President’s Award for Pride of Performance. Meanwhile, Zaiba Shehaz (Acting) and Faisal Edhi (Public Service) were awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

It is pertinent to mention here that Butt and Chaudhry are close friends and are just indulging in harmless banter.

    Hayat, who recently appeared on Vasay’s show Ghabrana Mana Hai, called out the host after he joked about Butt’s weight.

    When asked which Pakistani actor she thinks would be fit to play Ertuğrul, Mehwish named Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa. She also said that Ahmed Ali Butt would make a good supporting character on which Vasay interrupted her and joked: “Ahmed Ali Butt ghoray ke uper aur woh ghora bhaage bhi“.

    Responding to Vasay’s remark, Mehwish said: “Don’t talk to me about body shaming. You cannot do that in front of me.”

    The actor further said: “Pass them [body shaming jokes] when you are with friends, but when you will do this on this platform, people will listen and pick, and they will repeat it.”

    “Who will be responsible then?” she questioned. However, Vasay continued to defend himself, saying that Butt himself passes such jokes.

    During the interview, Mehwish also talked about the criticism she faced on receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and dealing with online trolling and criticism.

    Mujhe milna chaiye tha, ya nahi milna chaiye tha sab ko haq hai is baare me bat karne ka. Laikin mujhe mila kisi aur waja se other than my talent and hard work that is where I put my foot down,” said Hayat, while talking about her accolade.

    Talking about the social media trolls and responding to the suggestion of turning off the comments section, Mehwish said: “Turning off comments section means you are coward, or are doing something wrong “

    Meanwhile, Vasay also took the ‘controversy’ in stride, saying “Ghabrana Mana Hai (You are not allowed to panic).”

    Ahmed Ali Butt has opened up and shared his struggle with COVID-19 while being stranded in a foreign country.

    “I have been in quarantine for a better two weeks of my life after getting covid +ve, in a country not my own and with people who didn’t understand me,” shared Butt in an Instagram story. “This has been the most isolated and challenging experience of my life as I didn’t have anyone. With Allah’s blessing, I had decent living and eating arrangements.”

    The actor further said: “The isolation was something that I wasn’t prepared for at all. Your mind has the tendency to be your best friend and your worst enemy and mine had a field day with me. These were not the best days I would like to remember from any part of my life,” adding that he wouldn’t wish this experience upon anyone.

    Butt then went on to say that the isolation and experience with COVID taught him to be grateful for his wife and family who helped him recover.

    “I am back in my country and with my wife and son and recovering. Thank you to all the people who found out and stayed in touch during my madness. It means a lot,” concluded the actor.

    Butt did not reveal in which country he was stranded.

    Meanwhile, Ahmed has a string of projects lined up. He was recently in the news for his international film debut, Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi for which he was shooting in the United Kingdom.

    According to details, the film is a comedy-drama directed by Smeep Kang and produced by Gippy Grewal. Other members of the cast include famous Punjabi movie stars Grewal, Neeru Bajwa and Anu Kapoor.
