Ali Bhatt has appreciated and praised Pakistani rapper and comedian Muhammad Shah for a rap video he made on her.
Titled Alia, the video is part of the rapper’s What if… series and shows him use references to the actor’s various films to create a beat. Shah, through the video, also expresses his desire to get to know Bhatt, asking her to “come a little closer,” but not too close because of the pandemic.
In the credits at the end of the rap, Shah, while giving credit to his team, has also thanked Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt.
Appreciating the rapper’s hard work, Alia said: “Bohut hard,” in response to which Shah said: “I love you.”
Earlier, Shah had also made three videos for Hania Aamir. When Shah’s first video did not grab Hania’s attention, he made another one on which Hania asked Shah about his plans on the 16th of that month. The 16th never came and a heartbroken Shah made a third video, hoping to catch Hania’s attention again.

“Bhansali is personally overlooking for the casting [for the project],” stated the report. “Though officially his former assistant Vibhu will be directing Heera Mandi, SLB’S stamp will be evident in every frame.”
Meanwhile the film is expected to debut digitally on Netflix. It is not yet clear whether Heera Mandi will be a web series or a film.
Besides Heera Mandi, Bhansali is working on another film Gangubai Kathiawadi which also tells the story of a prostitute.
Things do not appear to be going well for Sadak 2. After becoming the most disliked trailer on YouTube with more than 8 million dislikes, the makers of the film have come under fire for stealing a Pakistani song and not giving the artist his due credit.
The matter came to light when Pakistani artist Shezan Saleem a.k.a JO-G, who is also the son of veteran musician and singer Saleem Javaid, uploaded a video in which he compares a song of the film Ishq Kamaal with a composition of his Rabba Ho released in 2011.
“A trailer for a Bollywood movie called Sadak 2 has just been released, and there is a song in it called Ishq Kamaal,” says Saleem in the video. “After listening to it, I realised that it sounds like a composition I had produced for a friend around 11 years ago. The friend’s name is Zaid Khan. I think they’ve copied it because not only the melody but the music is also very similar.”
Saleem then played both the songs and asked his followers to share their opinion on the matter. He later added that he will not stay quiet on the matter.
I won’t stay quiet on this.. Sadak 2 Song Ishq Kamaal Copied from Our Pakistani song Rabba Ho from 2011 I produced the music of that song https://t.co/HfdNHqXcan

Social media users hit out at the makers of the film, and the Bhatts in particular, for stealing the song.
This is absolutely shameless behavior of Bollywood music directors. How can u copy and then don’t even acknowledge it..this is not China that u will start copying everything. As Bollywood want piracy to be stopped , they also need to stop lifting songs from everywhere illegally..
However, Saleem defended Mahesh and called him a “fine man”. He lamented that the music producers should be asked about this plagiarism.
Can’t say that about Bhatt Saab. He is a fine man. He came to our house in Karachi in 2005. Also picked up a few songs that I produced for my dad back in the day for his upcoming movies. Then due to India-Pak tension never got released. Bt the music producers should be asked this

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Pooja Bhatt, who is one of the leads in the film, had previously said that Sadak 2 will introduce fresh music talent.
She had credited the song to a ‘music teacher from Chandigarh’, who had come to their office with “no prior appointment, a dream, a harmonium and a brilliant song called Ishq Kamaal.
Even #Sadak2 gives birth to a brand new talent in the form of @Suniljeet72 A music teacher from Chandigarh who came to our office with no prior appointment,a dream,a harmonium & a brilliant song called ‘Ishq Kamaal’ that was absorbed into the film on first hearing by my father.
Meanwhile, the composer of the song Suniljeet has denied the accusations and said that the song is his original composition.
“Ishq Kamaal is my original composition and doesn’t share a resemblance to any other song,” said Suniljeet. “Everybody involved in making this song including singer Javed Ali has added his magic to the music. This is my debut as a music director and all I hope for is that people like the song when it comes out. Shalu Vaish and I have worked with all our heart to live up to the expectation of Sadak 2 music.”
However, Saleem did not buy his arguments.
Ask any musician who is genuine and honest, they will listen to it and will say that how much both the compositions are similar. 10s of 1000s are listening to both knows it now as well. Original composition after 9 years of our original release? WOWhttps://t.co/gd4AGQYEF1https://t.co/7IxE2kjUWi

Sadak 2 is a sequel of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film Sadak and marks his return to direction after almost two decades. It was scheduled to release in theatres this summer, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will release digitally on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28.
Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt’s upcoming film Sadak 2‘s trailer dropped yesterday and the film is already trending for the wrong reasons. While the trailer is trending at number 3 on YouTube Pakistan it has garnered more than 6 million dislikes becoming the most disliked trailer on YouTube. The film is being ‘disliked’ for being a “product of ‘nepotism”.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, a campaign to make it the most disliked trailer on YouTube was initiated in the days leading up to its unveiling, by fans of Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on June 14. Sushant’s fans have been propagating the conspiracy theory that the actor was shunned by the film industry and the ‘insiders’, which drove him to suicide. At the time of Sushant’s death, fans and social media users had attacked Karan Johar and Alia for having previously spoken dismissively about Rajput on the show Koffee With Karan.
The film is a sequel of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film Sadak and marks his return to direction after almost two decades. It was scheduled to release in theatres this summer, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will release digitally on Disney+ Hotstar on 28 August.
Meanwhile, Pooja Bhatt responded to the hate by thanking the haters for making them trend.
Am absolutely not! Lovers/Haters two sides of the same coin. Gotta hand it to both for giving us their valuable time and making sure we are trending. Thank you for your wishes!
Netflix’s latest release Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, starring Janhvi Kapoor has also been trolled for similar reasons, with its IMDb rating being attacked.
Soon after filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt released the first poster of his comeback directorial feature Sadak 2, starring daughters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt, it was met with massive trolling and hatred. The film which was scheduled to release in cinemas on July 10, will now directly release on OTT service Disney+HotstarVIP.
Ever since the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput last month, Bhatt has been at the receiving end of hate on social media, like many Bollywood celebrities and bigwigs who have been accused of promoting nepotism and scuttling the chances of outsiders.
Following the announcement and release of the poster, netizens and fans of the late actor unleashed their anger and hatred in the comment sections on different social media platforms and called for audiences to boycott the film. While Alia and Mahesh limited the comment section on Instagram, only allowing those who they follow to comment, Mahesh did not do the same on Twitter, following which he received a barrage of hate comments on the microblogging platform.

Reacting to his tweet, netizens slammed the filmmaker, holding him responsible for Sushant’s deteriorating mental condition and threatened to boycott Sadak 2.
“Guy who declared 26/11 as RSS ki Sazish and his own son helped terrorists to identify the places, tried to declare Sushant as mentally unstable, having a relationship with lady younger than his daughter, lowest scum possible…Don’t know why this guy is not in jail,” declared a social media user.
“When you put END to someone’s life intentionally, you’ll soon release your END,” wrote another user.
“We are not interested… get lost,” retorted another user.
A user responded by sharing the poster of Sushan’s upcoming last film Dil Bechara, which will also be released on Disney Hotstar instead of cinemas. Sushant’s fans also began to trend the hashtag #JusticeforSushantSinghRajput on social media.
However, Alia’s co-actor Aditya Roy Kapur, who shared the poster without limiting the comment sections was met with heavy trolling and hate speech aimed at Mahesh and Alia.
Sadak 2 is a follow-up of Bhatt’s 1991 hit Sadak and is produced by his brother Mukesh Bhatt. The sequel reunites the original film’s lead pair of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt and also stars Alia and Aditya. The film also marks Mahesh’s return to filmmaking after 20 years.
Meanwhile, Disney+Hotstar also received flak for not giving equal representation to all the films releasing on the platform at their virtual press conference. While Alia, Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar were in attendance, Kunal Kemmu or Vidyut Jammwal were not invited, leading to online criticism. Both the actors also expressed their reservations and disappointment on social media.
Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai
A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES https://t.co/rWfHBy2d77
Veteran Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor breathed his last Thursday morning after a prolonged battle with cancer. Kapoor’s death comes just a day after Bollywood lost another legend: Irrfan Khan who passed away yesterday in Mumbai.
Kapoor’s funeral rites were held in Mumbai in the presence of his immediate family members and close friends. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, Kapoor’s final farewell was devoid of fanfare. His mortal remains were taken straight from the hospital to the crematorium.
Among those present included wife Neetu Singh, son Ranbir Kapoor, his girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bachchan, Ayan Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Rishi and Neetu’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, was unable to be part of the funeral because she is based in Delhi and with the nation under lockdown, there are no flights operating. However, Hindustan Times reported that the Delhi Police on issued her and four other people movement passes so they can travel to Mumbai by road.
“Along with Ridhima – Bharat Sahni, Samara Sahni, Akshay Sahni and Drigalakshmi Rai – got permission to travel to Mumbai,” the Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) RP Meena told the publication.
However, Alia made sure that Riddhima was part of the final rites through Facetime.

Kapoor was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulties, his brother Randhir Kapoor told the Press Trust of India.
The next morning, the actor’s family in a statement confirmed his death and said that he remained his jovial and entertaining self till the end and that he would “like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears.”
The Kapoors also appealed to the actor’s fans to respect lockdown rules.
An old interview of Ranbir Kapoor has resurfaced and created quite a stir. The interview is from when Ranbir was promoting his movie “Wake up Sid”, and in a segment, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were asked about Ranbir’s “qualities”.
Ranbir in ‘Wake up Sid’ ten years ago
Deepika said that Ranbir is a pathetic boyfriend and if there was a minus scale, he would top that too. She said that his sex appeal is minus one.
Sonam was all praises for Ranbir, but Deepika was on a roll. According to Deepika, Ranbir as a co-star is ‘extremely unprofessional’ and “very distracted”. She also added that he force feeds his female co-stars so that they get fat and look bad on screen.
Deepika and Ranbir’s old picture
Deepika and Ranbir had dated for a while and had a bad breakup.
Deepika is now married to Ranveer Singh
They now, seem to be cordial with each other, and Deepika is happily married to Ranveer Singh, while marriage seems to be on the cards for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Fans and followers are waiting, with bated breaths, for Bollywood’s IT couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to tie the knot. The two made their relationship official last year in May when they made an appearance at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding together and since then we’ve been waiting for the big day. After all, what’s more fun than a celebrity wedding?
According to reports in the Indian media, Alia has ordered her wedding lehenga. And it is no surprise who the designer is! Just like Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, Alia is all set to be a Sabyasachi bride. An exclusive report by SpotboyE revealed that Alia met Sabyasachi earlier this year to discuss her wedding lehenga and it appears that the preparation for it has already begun.
Alia has donned Sabyasachi saris, lehengas and dresses on many occasions in the past.
Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor – who is completing his cancer treatment in New York – has told IANS that he is looking forward to coming home as he has a “wedding to plan”.
Looks like the Kapoors and the Bhatts are gearing-up for an early 2020 wedding!
