    Police arrest three boys for raping, filming minor

    Three boys who gang-raped a 15-year-old girl and stripped her eight-year-old sister at Chak 324-JB Paira on Sunday have been arrested by the police.

    As per reports, the suspects recorded the crime with a mobile phone while they failed to rape the eight-year-old girl.

    A first information report (FIR) was filed with the City Police under sections 376 (2) (rape), 377-B (sexual abuse) and 292-C (child pornography) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the father of the girls.

    He alleged that his daughters went to a nearby forest to bring some firewood where three suspects overpowered them.

    They gang-raped the elder girl, stripped the younger one and tried to rape her.

    District Police Officer Rana Umer Farooq said all the three suspects have been detained while both the girls were taken to the district headquarters hospital where the women doctors confirmed that the elder girl was raped after a medical examination report.

    Police arrest Faisalabad man for drowning 3-year-old daughter in lake for ‘disturbing his sleep’

    Police arrested a man in Faisalabad who drowned his three-year-old daughter in a lake as the child used to ‘disturb his sleep’.

    As per reports, the body of the child has been recovered from the lake while the suspect has been detained.

    During an inquiry, the man identified as Asif Javed confessed to the crime, saying that he used to spend sleepless nights due to the child’s ‘mischievous’ activities.

    The accused started speculating that the child has been kidnapped to get away from his crime.

    According to police officials, the accused also sent his brother, Zulfiqar, to register a first information report (FIR) at the Sandal Bar Police Station regarding the ‘missing’ child.

    Following the news, a search for the child was initiated by the police and her body was recovered from a lake in Gojra. Further investigation and interrogation compelled Asif to confess his crime, police said.

    According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Mohammad Afzal, the accused had two daughters, the other is one-and-a-half-years old.

    A pet lion cub attacked a 10-year-old boy in Karachi’s residential area.

    A video that is widely circulating on social media shows a lion suddenly attacking a young kid as he walks by, despite having a leash tied around its neck.

    The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he has been declared to be out of danger.

    The police have arrested a security guard and a man identified as Saad. The lion’s owner has allegedly escaped and has been identified as Usama. The police are conducting raids to arrest him. A case will be registered after police arrest the owner.

    Talking to Samaa, the investigating officer said: “Usama is involved in the illegal trade of wild animals,” the investigating officer said. The suspect’s brother was taking the animal to his friend’s house when the incident took place.

    “Usama has escaped along with the lion,” the officer added.

    According to wildlife conservator Javed Mahar, the case has been taken up by the Sindh Wildlife Department. An inquiry is in progress and legal action will be taken.

    As per reports, police have received information that the owner of the lion and the boy have reached a compromise and that the owner of the lion did not have a permit to keep the animal.

    Man arrested for dating 35 women at once to get multiple birthday gifts

    A man in Japan was detained for fraud for dating 35 different women at the same time to receive multiple birthday presents from them.

    According to reports, Takashi Miyagawa, a 39-year-old, met the women while selling showerheads for a marketing company.

    Miyagawa pretended to be in a serious relationship with all 35 women. However, none of the ladies knew of each other and the 39-year-old would receive expensive and fancy presents from them for his fake birthdays.

    The man’s real birthday is November 13. While he used different dates with many different women to get more gifts. He received $925 in gifts which included electronics and clothing.

    The ladies allegedly registered a complaint with the police. Officials believe there could be more women who Miyagawa deceived.

  • Police arrest convict who pretended to be dead for 15 years

    Police in India’s Uttar Pradesh have arrested a wanted criminal who had escaped imprisonment for 15 years by pretending to be dead.

    According to reports, family members of the prime suspect, Aniraj Singh, had submitted a fake death certificate to the police showing that he had died in the fire tragedy in Meerut in the 2006.

    “During an inquiry, it was found that to avoid life imprisonment, he had made a fake death certificate and was working as a security guard in Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur with his wife and children,” the official said.

    Singh had come out of jail on bail for a few days in 2004 and then did not appear before the court on the scheduled day of his case hearing following which the police started a manhunt. However, authorities stopped investigations into his case after receiving his fake death certificate.

    The 2006 Meerut Fire tragedy happened on the evening of April 10, 2006. Around 67 people lost their lives in the tragedy. The fire spread through a consumer fair among about 2,000 people in Victoria Park in the city, creating panic and rush.

  • Govt reacts to Firdous Ashiq Awan’s ‘leaked video of planning Rana Sanaullah’s arrest’

    A viral video has shown Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Firdous Ashiq Awan discussing over the phone rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah’s arrest, which the opposition claims “exposes ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) politics of vengeance”.

    As per the details, a viral video deemed as leaked showed the Punjab government official saying to an unknown caller that Sanaullah had “once again escaped proceedings” and the government was filing a case against him.

    While opposition leaders claimed that Awan was speaking to Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed and planning the PML-N stalwart’s arrest, the government is claiming that she was talking to family of the late Majid Mehar.

    Mehar was one of the two people who died during violence that marred the electoral exercise in NA-75, Sialkot-IV Daska. Eight others were also injured in the incident that took place while the PML-N — a component of the 10-party PDM — led in the by-election last week.

    “She was speaking to the family of Majid Mehar, who lost his life in Daska,” Punjab CM’s aide on digital media, Azhar Mashwani, tweeted.

    He maintained that the family was holding Rana Sanaullah responsible for Mehar’s death.

    Families of two accident victims pardon Kashmala’s son

    Families of two out of four men who lost their lives after being hit by a vehicle of Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women Kashmala Tariq on the Srinagar Highway, pardoned her son and driver on Tuesday.

    According to the media reports, the families submitted affidavits to the court of Additional District and Session Judge, Mohammad Sohail Fazil during the hearing of a plea for bail-before-arrest obtained by Ms Tariq’s son.

    The investigators had asked the court to cancel the bail and give physical remand of the accused but the counsel for the accused borrowed time till afternoon and brought the families of the two deceased, Farooq Ahmed and Adil, who submitted affidavits separately.

    As per the information on affidavits, “The car was driven not by Ms Tariq’s son but by the driver. They do not want any legal action against her driver and her son.”

    It further added, “For the sake of Allah, we have no objection over the release of her driver and son on bail, quash the case and discharge them from the case.”

    Later, the court issued an order stating that parents of deceased Farooq Ahmed and Adil Abbasi got their affidavits submitted.

    During the hearing, they were asked to come up one by one, and contents of the affidavits were read and explained to them in Urdu. All of them verified the contents and thumb impression on it.

    The parents had firmly stated that they had pardoned the accused and have no objection if they are released on bail.

    To nullify the case completely, affidavits from the families of the other two deceased and the two injured persons are also required, said the judge.

    Wife stabs husband after finding pictures of him with ‘another woman’ without realizing images were of herself

    A jealous wife was arrested in Mexico for stabbing her husband after she failed to recognise herself in old photos on her husband’s cell phone thinking that he is with ‘another’ woman.

    The woman, identified by the police only as ‘Leonora R’ was arrested after law enforcement were summoned to a to report of a domestic dispute. The police said that when officers arrived at the scene, they found that Leonora’s husband, identified as ‘Juan N’, had been stabbed multiple times on his legs and arms.

    As per details, Leonora reportedly failed to instantly recognise herself because the woman in the images was younger, thinner, and wearing make-up. Juan told police he then explained to his wife that he had recently found the images in an old email and saved them to his phone, after which she realised that she was the woman in the pictures.

    Leonora was immediately taken into custody and remains behind bars pending charges, local media say.

    However the man was rushed to the hospital for his treatment of the wounds and is expected to recover soon.

    Police arrest Engin Altan’s Pakistani host for having criminal record

    The police have arrested Mian Kashif Zameer, the man who hosted Diriliş: Ertuğrul star Engin Altan Düzyatan throughout his Lahore for having a criminal record.

    As per reports, Zameer was allegedly booked in nearly eight cases pertaining to matters of fraud, betrayal of trust, car theft and robbery.

    Earlier it was reported that Zameer struck a deal worth one million dollars with the Turkish actor but paid only half of it.

    Zameer later denied the allegations of deal violation and has said that the media is spreading rumours.

    Police arrest TikToker for posing as a beggar

    A TikToker was arrested by the police in Sialkot for posing as a beggar.

    As per reports, the TikToker was found begging in Daska after disguising himself as a beggar. The patrolling police of the area found him suspicious and took him into custody. Upon interrogation, they discovered US dollars, Riyals and Pounds from his pocket.

    The police said that the youth was misleading people by disguising himself as a beggar but was later identified as a TikTok star, when he washed out his face.

    He has been taken into custody by the police over charges of deceiving people.
