    Naan ho ya Non: Nabeel Zafar roasts the government with naan and dhaniya

    Actor Nabeel Zafar isn’t holding back when it comes to his opinions on the new 2024 government budget, which has everyone talking.

    Nabeel posted a story about his views on the new financial budget with the caption, “End your perks before imposing taxes on the public, cut down on your protocols and luxuries.”

    He also sarcastically joked about the budget with captioned, “Naan Faailer ko sabzi ke saath muft dhaniya nahin milay ga,” hitting back at the government’s decisions on not to let non-filers travel out of the country and other restrictions.

    In another story, Nabeel posted the story, “Naan Faailer ko har do ghante baad chapriyan maarnay ka hukm, Budget (2024).”

    The new financial budget was revealed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb last week and has faced severe criticism about how restrictions will be imposed on the rich.

    Actress Kubra Khan recently appeared on Gloss Etc by Maliha Rehman, where she shared her thoughts on the popular drama ‘Noor Jahan’. While many viewers are relating to the controlling mother-in-law character, Kubra revealed that she was actually annoyed by the first 15 minutes of the drama.

    Kubra Khan said, “To be honest, I was annoyed with the very first 15 minutes of the drama. The way Musaddiq has shot the sequence where a wife thinks her husband is planning her birthday, but it turns out to be an event for his mom, was super annoying. And what’s even more frustrating is that this is how people generally live here, and many were able to relate to it.”

    The story of the drama revolves around Saba Hamid’s Noor Jahan, a wealthy and dominant mother of three sons. She controls every aspect of their lives, but her strict rules and plans lead to unexpected challenges that test the family’s bond and shape their futures.
    The drama is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Musaddiq Malik. It airs on Friday and Saturday at 08:00 PM on ARY Digital.

    Actress and model Mariyam Nafees gave an interview to ‘Independent Urdu’ where she talked about her character Zeenat in ‘Jaan e Jahan’.

    “If I wanted to play the lead opposite Hamza Ali Abbasi, I could have. He’s one of the most famous actors in Pakistan. But I don’t care about playing a heroine opposite him because we’ve known each other for years and are more like friends. Being cast as a lead opposite him isn’t a huge priority for me. If it happens, that’s good, but I’m not actively looking for it.”

    She also said, “I was initially supposed to play another character in ‘Jaan e Jahan’, but it was later removed from the script. Then, I was offered two more characters, and I chose to play ‘Zeenat’ because she had a huge impact in the drama and her character arc was perfect.”

    Nida was surprised at being told that her husband Yasir is playing the father-in-law role in the drama. Actors Ali Rehman Khan and Kubra Khan shared the news with her, and she was both shocked and amused.

    Nida Yasir said, “He may be young, but he’s already taking on roles that show his range as an actor,” she said. I’m proud of my husband and excited to watch his latest project, ‘Noor Jahan’.”

    Talking about romance with co-actors, Haris Waheed said, “It’s not recommended to get romantically involved with co-stars because you’re here to work, not to pursue personal desires. If someone wants romance, they should do so outside of their workplace.”

    Giving some leeway, Waheed added, “If there is honesty between the two people, it will eventually make its way.”

    Talking about his favourite co-stars, Waheed said, “I enjoyed working with Zara Noor Abbas in Jhoom. In Jaan E Jahan, Tabraiz and Gulraiz also had great on-screen chemistry. Credit goes to Qasim Ali Mureed too; the chemistry you see is because of Nawal, me, and Qasim Ali Mureed. I also recently enjoyed working with Mashal Khan. Working with Sania Saeed is something I love. Saboor Aly, who I worked with in ‘Mujhe Wida Ker’, is naturally subtle and reactive. Working with her was a great experience.”

    Pakistan’s on-screen sweethearts Sheheryar Munawar and Ushna Shah are coming together in an upcoming drama serial.
    According to media reports, Ushna Shah and Sheheryar Munawar are set to collaborate for the first time in their careers.

    Opening up on the ‘The Knock Knock Show’ which is hosted by Mohib Mirza, Aina Asif spoke about the overwhelming love that she and her co-star Samar Jafri received, on their drama serial ‘Mayi Ri’.

    “After Mayi Ri, my fan base grew significantly. I had a major role and the story centered on my character and another guy, which made me stand out.’ I was overwhelmed when it happened, because I never expected to receive so much love and respect. People showered me with admiration and kindness,” she said.

    “My friends would stop talking to me at 7 p.m. because they wanted to watch my drama,” she shared with a laugh.
    ‘Mayi Ri’ released in 2023, captivated audiences with its powerful story about child marriages in society. The drama had an all-star cast, led by strong young actors Aina Asif and Samar Jafri, who stole the spotlight with their outstanding performances.

    Composer and singer Naveed Nashad, couldn’t believe how much the audience loved his song.
    Recently, Nashad appeared in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where he discussed his hit song, the OST of ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho.’

    “The title track of ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ was a huge hit,” Butt said, “even more so than the drama itself, that’s true.” In response to Ahmed Ali Butt’s praise, Nashad replied, “Please refrain from saying that, Nadeem Bhai (Nadeem Baig) doesn’t like it when someone mentions this.”

    Ahmed Ali Butt remarked, “but it’s true, no doubt. It’s like Humsafar; the drama was a hit, but the OST was a blockbuster.”
    Nashad explained how ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ upgraded his status from “economy to business class” and also added, “I felt like I landed on the moon”.
    Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar wrote the OST, while Nashad composed it. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan lent his voice for the song. You can also listen to the song here:

    Nashad has previously composed songs for dramas like ‘Mannat Murad’’s ‘Alif Allah Aur Insaan’.

    Actor Imran Abbas has been a big star for more than twenty years, and people still love him a lot for his looks, talent, and kindness. He’s also very open about how much he loves his family. Recently, he shared some of his feelings for his late mother with his fans on Nida Yasir’s show ‘Shan e Suhoor’.
    He suffered a major loss, losing both his parents and a close sister within two years. Tears flowed freely as he remembered his mother waiting for him at home. Imran stressed that we often fail to realize the significance of our parents until they are no longer with us. His bond with his mother was profound; she held immense importance in his life.

    “My mother’s food is the best food I have ever tasted. She used to make my favorite dishes, and even at the end, she made a kheer for me, which was in the refrigerator when she passed away.” He stored that kheer in a freezer, and it stayed with him for two years after her death until one day a house help accidentally threw it away.

    Imran recalled, “My mother’s hair always smelled of fresh jasmine flowers. She observed purdah, so I have never shared a picture of her even after her death, but she was a very beautiful lady.” He revealed that she passed away in his arms.
