‘Justice hoga to sabka hoga’: Asim Azhar demands justice from PM Imran Khan

Asim Azhar has once again raised his voice for the protesting students who are appealing to the government to call off the sit-in exams amidst pandemic woes.

Taking to Twitter, the Tum Tum singer said: “All students are equal, Chaahay board ya Cambridge. Justice ho ga tou sabka ho ga, InshaAllah!

In another tweet, he also shared the hashtag #ImranKhanStudentKiSunLo and tagged the Prime Minister.

Islamabad police on Thursday temporarily detained a dozen students and used force to end a protest against holding in-person examinations for grade 9th to 12th which are scheduled to begin later this month.

Students had started gathering outside the Higher Education Commission (HEC) office on Thursday morning and also appealed for Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood’s resignation.

Take a look at some of the sweetest wishes on social media by our celebrities:

  • ‘A man ejaculating on a woman’s picture is made viral content’: Hania Aamir on netizen’s hypocrisy

‘A man ejaculating on a woman’s picture is made viral content’: Hania Aamir on netizen’s hypocrisy

Ever since Hania Aamir posted a video with the Wajahat brothers, she’s constantly been the talk of the town and trending on social media. After Asim Azhar’s tweet about Hania, the exes fiercely indulged in an online feud, after which several celebrities, from the Pakistani drama and film industry, started posting their views on the issue. After a lengthy online battle, Hania posted that men think it’s funny to demean women, “Where a woman showing affection to her loved ones is wrong but a man ejaculating on a woman’s picture on video on the internet is retweeted and made viral content.”

The ‘ejaculation comment’ raised eyebrows and was apparently referring to an ‘incident’ during one of Hania’s live sessions. Recently, during an Instagram live hosted by Hania, a man joined in on the live session and started masturbating while looking at her picture. A visibly disturbed Aamir ended up going offline to process what had just happened. After the live session, some suggested the video had been doctored or edited.

    The Hania-Asim War

The issue started when after Hania posted the controversial Wajahat brothers video. Asim Azhar, who allegedly dated Hania for a significant period of time, took to his Twitter account and posted a GIF that people assumed was directed towards Hania.

The GIF posted by Asim said: “Bal Bal Bach Gaya.”

After few hours Hania tweeted, “You can either be a celebrity or a bitter ex with no dignity.”

Soon after the exchange of words between the two, Pakistani celebrities were quick to take sides.

Fahad Mustafa, Mirza Gohar Rashid, Ali Zafar, Danyal Zafar, Ali Rehman Khan, Shahveer Jaffry and Dananeerr Mobeen are supporting Hania.

“Disgusted with the way people are treating actresses of our industry if you don’t like what they do, you have a choice not to follow them but stop judging and trolling,” said Fahad Mustafa while addressing the issue on Twitter.

Similarly, other celebs extended their support to the Ishqiya actress.

On the other hand, Sajal Aly, Asad Siddiqui, Saba Qamar, Zara Noor Abbas are supporting Asim.

The whole fraternity is now questioning cyber bullying and private lives being discussed publicly and how such issues should be taken up on social media.

  • Hania Aamir vs Asim Azhar: Clash of the exes

Hania Aamir recently received a lot of backlash from her fans on posting a video with the Wajahat brothers. She later deleted the video due to extreme hate comments by social media users.

Asim Azhar, who allegedly dated Hania for a significant period, took to his Twitter account to post a GIF that people assumed was directed towards Hania. Asim and Hania were talk of the town but they never made their relationship official.

The GIF posted by Asim siad, “Bal Bal Bach Gaya.”

After the backlash received on social media Hania Aamir posted a note on different social media platforms.

“Just another day surviving in a misogynist world where double standards have power over innocence and where coexisting with difference of opinion is not a thing,” the acress wrote.

She continued, “Where a man trying to belittle a woman is applauded but if a woman does the same she is hated. Where a woman showing affection to her loved ones is wrong but a man ejaculating on a woman’s picture on video on the internet is retweeted and made viral content”.

“Just another day surviving. Hope you all are doing well in this disgusting world and keeping your goodness intact.”

“Someone else’s evil shouldn’t ruin your goodness,” concluded Hania.

After few hours Hania tweeted, “You can either be a celebrity or a bitter ex with no dignity.”

Asim in a separate tweet posted a long note and said, “aur ab sab kuch kar ke victim ban rahe hain.”

Hania then urged everyone to show a more responsible conduct.

Hania Aamir has now posted another long note saying that it is not “ex vs ex debate” adding that for her its about “abuse vs the abuser.”

The actress further added that she is not speaking against men, she is speaking against misogyny.

  • ‘Your country was forced on the world,’ Asim Azhar calls out Israel’s claims

‘Your country was forced on the world,’ Asim Azhar calls out Israel’s claims

Ever since Israel launched fresh airstrikes in Gaza and Palestine, the official Twitter account of the country has been actively propagating and justifying its acts. Asim Azhar recently responded to one of their tweets and told them to “stop the terrorism”.

Responding to Israel’s claims that they were founded 3,000 years ago, Azhar said: “Your ‘country’ was literally founded, sorry I mean forced on the world in 1948. Humse bhi aik saal chotay ho, aide tussi 3,000 years kay (You are one year younger than Pakistan and yet you claim you’re 3000 years old).”

    “Stop the terrorism,” he added.

Asim’s tweet comes as tensions escalate in Palestine, where the Jewish state has dropped bombs on Palestinians killing hundreds. According to reports, Israeli fighter jets continued to pummel the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Wednesday, flattening residential buildings and killing at least four Palestinians, including a journalist.

Earlier, Israeli forces shot dead four other Palestinians and wounded scores more during protests and a historic general strike in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

At least 220 Palestinians, including 63 children, have been killed in Gaza since the latest violence flared on May 10. About 1,500 Palestinians have been wounded.

  • Asim Azhar, Shahid Afridi, Farhan Saeed call out Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians

Asim Azhar, Shahid Afridi, Farhan Saeed call out Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians

Asim Azhar, Shahid Afridi and Farhan Saeed have raised their voice against Israel and their atrocities against the people of Palestine. They spoke up after reports came in that more than 200 Palestinians were wounded late on Friday outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem. Israeli police fired rubber-coated metal bullets and stun grenades at innocent Palestinians.

“I am sickened and disgusted,” wrote Asim on Twitter. “How can you attack a place of worship and attack defenceless worshippers?”

“And yet again, the world will stay silent on Israel’s continuous oppression on Palestine. Ya Allah reham,” he added.

Former Pakistan Cricket team captain Shahid Afridi also condemned the atrocities and said that the walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque are on the floor, with Palestinian blood, and my eyes are red with tears of helplessness.

“The global conscience is sleeping wrapped in a blanket of indifference. Perhaps the blood of Muslims is so disrespectful that no voice will be raised and no campaign will be launched, he added.

“First Qibla [Al-Aqsa Mosque], we are unable to pay off the debt of your sanctity.

Similarly, Saeed wrote,”The world’s deafening silence is criminal! How can the international community sit back and watch this happen?”

“This is terrorism,” remarked the singer.

Tens of thousands of worshippers had earlier packed Islam’s third-holiest site on the final Friday of Ramzan and many stayed on to protest against Israeli plans to evict Palestinian families from their homes on land claimed by Jewish settlers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of East Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Palestinians have also staged a series of sit-ins in the area in recent days denouncing Israeli orders for them to vacate their homes. Israeli security forces have attacked the sit-ins using skunk water, tear gas, rubber-coated bullets and shock grenades. Dozens of Palestinians have been arrested.

Violence erupted on Friday when Israeli police deployed heavily as Muslims were performing evening prayers at Al-Aqsa during the holy month of Ramzan.

    https://twitter.com/Arslan_Sadiq/status/1390923500597153792?s=08

Sheikh Jarrah’s residents are overwhelmingly Palestinian, but the neighbourhood also contains a site revered by religious Jews. The site is known to be the tomb of an ancient high priest, Simeon the Just.

As per details, the Sheikh Jarrah cause has escalated over the past week but it is not a new issue.

Jewish settler organisations filed a lawsuit in the 1970s claiming the area belonged to Jews originally, and seeking the expulsion of Palestinian families living there since 1956.

These families, refugees from the 1948 Nakba, eventually settled in Sheikh Jarrah under an agreement between Jordan and the UN refugee agency.

The Israeli district court ruled that four families – al-Kurd, Iskafi, Qassim and Jaouni – must leave their homes for settlers to take over, or reach an agreement with these settler organisations by paying rent and recognising them as landlords.

The families refused and the court postponed the final verdict to Monday.

  • Asim Azhar urges students to sit home, cancel parties after exams postponed

Asim Azhar, who had backed students on multiple occasions and rallied for their exams to be cancelled, has now urged them to cancel all parties and get-togethers and sit home till COVID ends. The Federal Government on Tuesday had announced that all exams have been cancelled till June 15 in view of rising coronavirus cases.

Mubarak bacho,” wrote Asim, after the news of the cancellation came.

Ab khuda ka waasta hai parties aur get togethers bhi cancel karna apne aur ghar baithna until we’re done with COVID,” he added.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood on Tuesday had announced that no examinations will take place in the country until June 15 and that O’ and A’ Level exams will now take place in the October-November cycle. Students had long been demanding the government to cancel exams arguing that their study schedules had been disrupted due to COVID-19 and that they had been unable to prepare for the exams.

Other celebrities including Mehwish Hayat, Adnan Siddiqui and Falak Shabir also appreciated the government’s decision to cancel exams.

Meanwhile, Aijaz Aslam is disappointed that government is not considering the option of grade assessment.

“What a mess this examination process has become,” remarked the actor.

After the cancellation of exams, students are now demanding Teacher and School Assessed Grades with the hashtags #ShafqatDestroysOurCareer and #ResignShafqatMahmood trending on social media. Students are arguing that their study schedules have been disrupted because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and are demanding Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) and School Assessed Grades (SAGs).

  • Asim Azhar backs students, urges Shafqat Mahmood to cancel exams again

Asim Azhar backs students, urges Shafqat Mahmood to cancel exams again

After Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood announced that there will be no delay or cancellation of exams, Asim Azhar once again voiced his support for students, urging the minister to reconsider his decision in view of the ongoing third wave of COVID-19 across Pakistan.

“A, AS, O Level and IGCSE exams will be held as per the date sheet announced by CAIES,” said Mahmood, asserting they will be no cancellation or delay in the exams.

Mahmood added that Cambridge has assured that all SOPs will be strictly followed.

Responding to the announcement, the singer said: “Who will be responsible if kids take COVID back to their homes just so they could appear in exams?”

In another tweet, Azhar urged Mahmood to rethink his decision.

Abhi bhi waqt hai, bacho pe tars khaalain,” said Asim.

Earlier, Twitter had raged with students advocating for the cancellation of board exams this year following the deadly third COVID-19 wave across the country.

Students demanded to cancel board exams 2021 amidst their disturbed learning schedules. Several students were also demonstrating on the streets so that the government take proper notice of their demands.

#ExamCancelHoga, #cancelboardexams2021 and #ShafqatMahmood were among the top trends on the micro-blogging site as social media users and students expressed their concern over the sharp rise in cases of COVID-19 and its effect on their studies.

Asim and Hadiqa Kiani had also voiced their support for the students over exams cancellation.
