    Saba Qamar

    Starting off her career with Mein Aurat Hoon, Saba entered the big league with 2011’s Maat and consolidated her position with blockbuster dramas like Digest writer, Baaghi and Cheekh.     Ayeza, won hearts with her performance in drama serial Chupke Chupke post delivering the biggest television blockbusters with Mere Paas Tum Ho and Pyaray Afzal. She enjoys an envious popularity and is currently the most followed Pakistani on Instagram.

    Mewhish Hayat

    HUM TV launched the first two teasers of their much awaited magnum opus, Laa Pata starring Ayeza Khan, Sarah Khan, Ali Rehman Khan and Gohar Rasheed in lead roles. The teasers promise a colourful visual delight with loads of extravagance, great performances, weddings, light-hearted comedy, musical elements and top notch production value, vibrant sets, stellar ensemble cast, Khizer Idrees’s vision toppled with a crisp editing.

    The drama also stars veteran actors like Asma Abbas in its supporting cast. Amidst the melodramatic and serious plays, Laa Pata seems like a breath of fresh air. Although the posters do give us a hint of some dark elements too especially with Ali Rehman’s character poster. The drama promises to be a blockbuster with all the right ingredients served with a star-studded star-cast.

    The play has been directed and written by Verna fame Khizer Idrees, it is produced by Momina Duraid and will be aired soon on HUM TV.

    Ishq-e-Laa

    Riding high on the success of his last venture, Dushman E Jaan, Director Amin Iqbal has managed to pull off a casting coup by getting on-board a stellar cast in his upcoming biggie. Powerhouse performers Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi are the leading ladies of this ambitious project, penned by the veteran writer, Qaisera Hayat of Alif Allah Aur Insaan fame. It features debutant Azaan Sami Khan as the leading hero, along with Adnan Samad Khan of Ehd-e-Wafa fame.

    Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay

    Superstar Mahira Khan is making a comeback to the medium of television after 5 years in this Farooq Rind directorial, co-starring Kubra Khan and Usman Mukhtar. Based on Umera Ahmed’s novel of the same title, this drama is apparently based around a dysfunctional family and sheds light on the impact of flawed parenting on children.

    Actress Zainab Qayoom plays a pivotal role in the drama and also shared her excitement for the shooting spell.

    Laa Pata

    Amidst a barrage of melodramatic scripts and emotionally turbulent screenplays, this drama promises to be in the light-hearted space. Produced by Momina Duraid, Laa Pata boasts of a stellar star-cast headlined by Ayeza Khan, Sarah Khan, Ali Rehman Khan and Gohar Rasheed.

    Gohar shared an interesting BTS from the sets of this Khizer Idrees directorial on Instagram. Ayeza plays the character of a TikToker, “Geeti Princess” and asked fans to follow her character’s account on video sharing app.

    Imran Abbas and Saba Qamar are collaborating for the first time in this Saqib Khan directorial. After giving stellar performances in Baaghi and Cheekh, Saba Qamar took a break from television and shot for two feature films which will release post the pandemic woes. Written by Sara Qayyum, it also features Chupke Chupke fame, Sidra Niazi and Asad Siddiqui in significant roles. In his latest interview with Dawn, Imran said, “The subject is very nice and unusual, different from what is happening these days.”

    Saba makes sure through her Instagram that her fans remain curious about the project.

    Fahad Mustafa has roped in Danish Taimoor and Minal Khan for his upcoming production venture. The serial is touted to be a love story with some major plot twists. It is being directed by Jalan fame Abiz Raza. The project has been on floors since March 2021 and is expected to release towards the end of this month. Ishq Hai‘s team shared its multiple posters today on social media platforms, giving their fans a solid tease.

    Amanat

    Urwa Hocane and Imran Abbas put their fans into frenzy when they announced their next drama for ARY Digital, Amanat. This dynamic on-screen pair has been having great fun on their sets and even shared some moments with their fans, including a video in which they are singing together. It boasts of an ensemble star-studded cast with names like, Saboor Ali, Haroon Shahid, Gohar Rasheed, Salman Saeed, Saba Pervaiz, Babar Ali, and Sheheryar Zaidi among others.

    Music composer, Naveed Nashad has worked on its OST after delivering a chartbuster with Do Bol.

    Ayeza Khan will be playing the role of a TikToker in her upcoming drama Laa Pata after Hania Amir, who played a mischievous teen in Dilruba, smitten by the video-sharing app.

    Ever since Ayeza revealed about her character in the play, her fans have been asking for more details about the Khizer Idrees directorial.

    The Mere Paas Tum Ho actress recently created a TikTok account by the name of her character, “Geeti Princess” and urged her fans to follow and support the account.

    While Hania received a mixed response from the audience on her portrayal of a flirtatious social media star, Ayeza seems to be involving her fans in the process much before the serial’s telecast.

    In her live stream chat, the Chupke Chupke actress only revealed that Laa Pata cast includes Sarah Khan, Ali Rehman Khan, Goher Rasheed, and Asma Abbas, many more names are a part of the cast like Rabia Naureen and Munazzah Arif, giving us an interesting set of actors.

    The team is currently shooting a significant portion of the screenplay in Karachi.

    Sarah Khan too has been updating her fans on her character’s development via stills from the shoot.

    Laa Pata is produced by Momina Duraid and will be aired on HUM TV in the second half of the year.

    Ayeza Khan has revealed the one actor she “can’t wait” to work with, in an Instagram story.

    Ayeza shared a series of posts about different actors of Pakistan on her Instagram stories and wrote what she thinks about their old work and her secret desire about working with them.

    Sharing a clip of Marina Khan from Tanhaiyaan, Ayeza wrote: “Marina Khan I can’t wait to work with you.”

    Ayeza also shared an old clip of Humayun Saeed from a drama, saying: “Humayun Saeed no one can take your place in the showbiz industry.”

    “I have learned a lot from you guys and still learning,” wrote Ayeza while sharing photos of Fahad Mustafa and Amina Sheikh’s drama Main Abdul Qadir Hoon.

    She also shared a clip from Abrar-ul-Haq’s song Preeto and praised Sunita Marshall, saying: “Sunita Marshall this was the first time I saw you on TV and you looked beautiful and of course this song was my favorite by Abrar sir.”

    Ayeza, who came in limelight after Pyarey Afzal, and after that, she reached another level of fame from Meray Paas Tum Ho and Chupke Chupke was her recent hit. She also shared in a live session on her Instagram that she soon will be seen in an upcoming drama serial La Pata which will be set on floors by next month.     Season 2 of ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Ishq Jalebi’ not happening, says writer

    Saima Akram Chaudhry, who has penned the wildly successful Chupke Chupke, Ishq Jalebi and Suno Chanda has said that there will be no second or third seasons of these dramas.

    “Dear fans, viewers and followers, I know you loved Chupke Chupke, Ishq Jalebi and Suno Chanda. I am grateful to all but it’s not possible for me to take your Instagram calls and talk [to] everyone,” wrote Akram on social media.

    “Please accept my apologies and don’t call directly. Trust me it’s too irritating and it is too unethical to call someone at midnight,” she said further.

    Chaudhry also said that she cannot help anyone launch their career in the entertainment industry as it’s not her department.

    “And channels are not planning for season two or three,” added Chaudhry.

    Meanwhile, earlier fans had speculated that a sequel of Chupke Chupke was in the works after Ayeza Khan shared a clip of herself and Osman Khalid Butt dressed up as Meenu and Faazi from the drama.

    Furthermore, director Danish Nawaz said that there is a possibility for a sequel if the script and story are good. He said discussions on the topic are ongoing and that he cannot confirm anything as yet.

    On the other hand, Arslan Naseer, who played Haadi in the romantic comedy, has shut down rumours of a second season.

    With the nonstop bombardment of missiles by Israelis and destruction of Palestinian homes, offices, security buildings and residential property, nearly 200 Palestinians have been killed, including 58 children, in the Gaza Strip as Israeli monstrosities enter the second week.

    People across the world including Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are raising their voices for the Palestinians with Pakistani celebrities too using their social media presence to call out atrocities of Israeli military on innocent people.

    “Can you imagine kissing your child to sleep and not knowing if you all will see them again? That’s the reality of life in Palestine right now. And together, we can use it to stop the cruelties on our brothers and sisters.”

    Taking to Instagram, Mahira Khan wrote: “If we remain silent, there is blood on our hands too.”

    “Free Palestine,” she added.

    Maya Ali also took to Instagram and wrote: “All of my prayers are with the Palestinians.

    She also prayed for the people of Palestine. “O Allah, please help, protect and support the people in Palestine and ease their pains and sufferings. Ameen!”

    Maya added: “I’ve been absolutely speechless and heart broken of seeing the horrifying attacks on the innocent people of #Palestine. Its high time that we all come together, raise our voices and spread awareness about the current situation in Palestine. When the world unites, miracles happen!”

    Sharing a viral video of a Palestinian girl questioning what her fault is and whether it is fair to attack them like this, Ayesha Omar said: “No it’s not. It’s not fair. It’s not fair. It’s not human.”

    Yasir Hussain also expressed his sadness over the situation, saying: “Khamosh rehny waly tamaam Muslim mumaalik ye bhool rhy hain k aisa unky sath bhi ho sakta hai. Hamen khamoshi ki aadat dali ja rahi hai.

    Bilal Abbas Khan also shared pictures of protestors demanding to save Palestine from injustice and apartheid of Israel.

    Safe to say, we’re not getting over Chupke Chupke anytime soon given the amount of light-hearted entertainment it provided us during Ramzan this year. The show has been a hit with the audiences with episodes trending on televsion and social media. The highlight of the series included the love story between Faazi (Osman Khalid Butt) and Meenu (Ayeza Khan) and Haadi (Arslan Naseer) and Mishi (Aymen Saleem).
