‘Gentleman’ premiere night buzzes with stars

The highly-anticipated Pakistani drama series, ‘Gentleman,’ is set to make its debut on Green Entertainment on May 12. Penned by controversial writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, ‘Gentleman’ promises an engaging narrative centered around Karachi’s street gangs, with Humayun Saeed portraying the central character- Munna.

Karachi hosted the star-studded premiere of Episode 1 with celebrities turning out in full force to support Humayun Saeed, including Sara Khan, Falak Shabir, Ramsha Khan, Azaan Sami Khan, Tuba Anwar, Javaria Saud, Bushra Ansari, Syed Gibran, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Faisal Qureshi, among others. Director Abu Aleeha lashes out at leading channels for promoting ‘products of nepotism’

Director Abu Aleeha of Tevar fame called out the industry forces for promoting nepotism, making an obvious reference to debutants Haroon Kadwani and Azaan Sami Khan.

On tweeted, “The amount of effort put in by TV channels to promote actor Abdullah Kadwani’s son Haroon Kadwani and singer Adnan Sami Khan’s son Azaan Sami Khan should have been spent on NAPA’s talented acting students. To give them the platform they deserve! He urged netizens stop appreciating every teaser that they see.”

Abdullah Kadwani who is debuting as a lead opposite Kinza Hashmi, Haroon Kadwani’s father, is a well-known producer with projects like Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 as well as the owner of 7th Sky Production Company.

Meanwhile, actor Azaan Sami Khan starring opposite Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi in Ishq-e-Laa is the son of Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar and legendary musician Adnan Sami.

Also senior actor Naumaan Ijaz’s son Zaviyar is also being signed on by a leading channel for multiple projects despite lukewarm response to his acting debut in Qissa Meherbano Ka.

Azaan Sami Khan hits back at troll for referring to father Adnan Sami as ‘Ghadaar baap’

Musician and actor Azaan Sami Khan has responded to a troll for referring to his father as ‘Ghadaar’ under his Instagram post. The Superstar fame composer replied back with a dignified response to the netizen.

In July 2021, supermodel Sabeeka Imam questioned Azaan’s casting in drama serial Ishq-e-Laa co-starring Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi.

“So it seems like you need zero onscreen acting experience and you could also debut with both the AMAZING Yumna and Sajal,” she wrote.

“Mujhe bhi itni hi achi LUCK chahiye where I don’t have to earn it or prove myself first & it just gets handed to me on a plate,” she added.

Yasir Hussain took to Instagram to express his support to the industry veteran, Bushra Ansari post netizens trolled her for dancing on a wedding with Azaan Sami Khan.

Several celebrities graced the pre-wedding ceremony of Shahmir Shunaid, the grandson of Sultana Siddiqui. Bushra Ansari along with Azaan Sami Khan performed on a quirky dance number on the dance floor.

This was Bushra’s first public appearance after her sister Sumbul Shahid’s tragic demise. The Mera Naseeb star received backlash for her antics on the ceremony. The veteran actress took to Instagram to share her response on the backlash from netizens. “I was in a deep grief from last 3 months and that loss is going to be in our hearts till our last breathe. Two days ago it was a family dholki and all my friends were there insisting me to get out of the stress and my sadness.”

She continued by mentioning, “So this is a cheap weapon of telling elders that you are old and you have no right to be happy, why not ? I don’t understand why young kids feel insecure of older people,” the actress stated further. I m not answerable to any faceless troll because they never leave any one even after wearing hijab, so stop hurting people it’s also not allowed in Islam.”

Bushra can be seen currently in ARY Digital’s Pardes co-starring Sarmad Khoosat and Shaista Lodhi. Yasir was last seen in Jhooti opposite Iqra Aziz.

Muneeb Butt thinks that Azaan Sami Khan is a product of Nepotism

Muneeb Butt recently appeared on Hina Altaf and Aagha Ali’s The Couple Show. During a segment of the show, Aagha asked Muneeb that who he thinks is a “parchi” in the younger generation of the industry. To which the Daldal actor replied, “I think it was comparatively easier for Azaan Sami Khan to come into the industry than other actors.”

Azaan is the son of veteran Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar and singer Adnan Sami.
