    How was Faiz Hameed arrested? Azaz Syed reveals interesting details

    Veteran journalist Azaz Syed has revealed how former spymaster General (retd) Faiz Hameed’s arrest took place.

    On his YouTube show Talk Shock, Azaz said that Superintendent Adiala jail Mohammad Akram had multiple phones, one of which was an outdated Chinese-made phone used to exchange messages between former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and the former Chief of Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) Faiz Hameed.

    “The phone was so outdated that the latest technology that the intelligence agencies deployed could not initially trace its calls,” Azaz claims.

    He said that information was sent to intelligence that Mohammad Akram received calls from one number many times; after the number was checked, Faiz was apprehended, and intelligence agencies recovered the phone.

    He further revealed that “Former Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar was also contacted through these phones.”

    While commenting on Akram’s arrest, Syed predicted he would be a sworn witness against Imran Khan and Faiz Hameed.

    Azaz said, “It will be a confessional statement someday”.

    “When all evidence was showed to Faiz Hameed, he was shocked and disturbed”, Azaz claimed, adding that caught red-handed, he did not get the option to deny what he had done.

    Panicked govt brought students back from Kyrgyzstan over fake news, says journalist Azaz Syed

    Journalist Azaz Syed in his political talk show ‘Talk Shock’ recently revealed that the government of Pakistan spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring back students from Kyrgyzstan over “fake news and propaganda” while no other country did that.

    Syed said, “A panic spread over social media over fake news due to which students got scared and the government also panicked even though the Pakistani Ambassador over there insisted that students are safe.”

    “PM Shehbaz ordered the evacuation plan for students due to which 12 chartered planes were organized,” said The News journalist.

    Azaz added that the government government paid fines for the few illegal migrants that were present in Kyrgyzstan. “More than four thousand people returned and many of them had no money to travel further in Pakistan or to eat, so the government made those arrangements as well.”

    Azaz noted, “All of this over fake news. Look at India, their embassy released a press release for students to stay there because there are no threats. Almost 19,000 Indian students are present there and multiple other foreign citizens were also there and none of them returned.”

    He further said that most of the Pakistani students who returned “were in their initial study years while those doing their house job or final exams before graduation are still there.”

    “How will the returned students continue their studies now?” asked Azaz Syed.

    Fakhar Durrani, another senior journalist with The News, stated, “There was intense pressure on the government by PTI propaganda online that they completely panicked.”

    Azaz Syed, a senior journalist at The News, invited reporter Asif Bashir Chaudhry on his YouTube show.

    Asif claimed that according to his sources, Interior Minister of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi might be leaving the ministry portfolio.

    Journalist Asif Bashir Chaudhry said some other sources have also confirmed, “Rana Sanaullah’s name is being seriously considered for this [Interior Minister].”

    Chaudhry stated, “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and coalition parties have objected to the fact that despite being the interior minister of the country, he [Mohsin Naqvi] does not defend party’s policies.”

    Asif further explained, “The job of the interior minister is to defend, explain, elaborate, and discuss the government policy decisions which is not happening at the moment.”

    Journalist Asif Bashir also stated that some friendly countries have also objected to Naqvi’s conduct with them.

    Azaz Syed said he thinks there is a very low probability of this happening although he credited his story.

    More than 60 government officials close to PPP added to stop list

    The names of more than 60 Sindh government officials close to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have been out on the stop list, Azaz Syed has reported for The News. The name of Mukesh Chawla, a PPP leader and former provincial minister, is also on the list.

    According to the report, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is conducting an investigation against Sindh PPP leader Mukesh Chawla, asking that he be added to the stop list.

    These officials will be investigated by NAB Karachi, Azaz Syed has said.

    On the other hand, according to a report filed by Hasnaat Malik in The Express Tribune, the gap between PPP and the security establishment has grown after the dissolution of Sindh Assembly.
    PPP was unhappy to see that government officials on prominent posts were being transferred during the caretaker government, the report said.

    Nadra confirms data theft of Army Chief’s family

    In a news report published on Sunday in The News, it was stated that the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is set to finalise an inquiry identifying those behind a data leak involving the incumbent Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir’s family.

    Journalist Azaz Syed wrote that NADRA has issued a detailed statement confirming the data theft of Army Chief’s family, according to the same news outlet.

    According to the report, “Nadra finalises probe into illegal access to COAS family’s data, dated April 02, 2023, it is to clarify that the subject probe into illegal access to COAS family’s data is a continuation of Nadra’s stringent measures to protect the citizens’ data from unauthorised access, when he sought help from premier security agency upon assumption of charge as chairman Nadra in June 2021.”

    Multiple users of different organisations had accessed General Asim Munir’s data before he was appointed COAS. Other than Nadra, nine institutions, including law enforcement agencies, banks and housing authorities, accessed the COAS’s family data.

    About the ongoing inquiry, COAS’s family data was accessed in absence of Nadra Chairman Tariq Malik, who was on ex-Pakistan leave (on official assignment) in November 2022.

    Last November, illegally-accessed information was reportedly used in an attempt to block the appointment of the current army chief.

    In October 2022, five senior Lieutenant-Generals were contending for the position of Pakistan’s new army chief. During this time, a junior data entry operator at NADRA, Farooq Ahmed, allegedly accessed the data of a female family member of Gen Munir and collected the family’s details and identity card numbers.

    This data was later used in the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) to track international travel destinations the family had travelled to.

    The prime minister had an investigation launched into the data leak.

    As regards to the ongoing probe into the COAS family’s data, the NADRA chairman ordered the inquiry which is in the closing phase. Culprits, from DGs to the data entry operators, have been identified.

    Veteran journalists Azaz Syed and Umar Cheema have claimed on their YouTube show “Talk Shock” that more audio leaks which have the potential to plunge the country into further crisis, might surface soon.

    The two journalists discussed the recently leaked audio recordings which allegedly feature former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Pervaiz Elahi talking about a sitting Supreme Court (SC) judge. The two journalists said that according to their well-informed sources, there are some audio leaks that may release soon.

    Syed said that some of the recordings are also related to former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar.

    However, both of them clarified that the information is not confirmed yet.

    Azaz added that judges’ phones are not being taped and highlighted that the recording of someone’s call is highly immoral and condemned the audio leaks.

    Moreover, they thoroughly discussed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s heavy criticism of the judiciary, claiming that government might know about the contents of the upcoming audio leaks.

    Veterans of Pakistan, an organisation of former military officers, held a press conference in Islamabad yesterday (June 6). A video from the conference went viral where retired Lieutenant General Asif Yasin Malik threatened journalist Azaz Syed for asking a question.

    Azaz asked, “General Saab, do you think that generals should give back the land given to them because of the present economic conditions of the country?”

    “Tum apnay janazay ka bandobast karo,” said General Malik to Azaz Syed. [Translation: You should prepare for your funeral].

    “Stop it,” General Malik shouted.

    Azaz interjected and said, ” Sir I am asking you a question, this is a matter of the country, you just did a press conference.”

    It is being reported that during the press conference, Brig (R) Mian Mehmood claimed that when the situation in Pakistan started to deteriorate, their team led by General Ali Quli went to meet the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

    “General Bajwa very clearly promised that he would hold elections in 90 days to make the situation in Pakistan better. Today we ask Gen Bajwa: where did his promises go?”

    A denial has been issued by military sources to BBC Urdu that no such promise [polls in 90 days] was made by the army chief. The military sources also told BBC Urdu that nobody can use the army for politics by using the name of ‘veterans’.
