    Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam became the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals.

    Babar Azam overtook India’s Virat Kohli with the 16th run of his innings in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match against USA.

    Virat Kohli has scored 4038 runs in 110 T20 international innings while Babar has scored 4067 runs in 113 innings.

    Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has equaled Indian star batsman Virat Kohli’s record of most fifties scored in T20 format.

    Azam achieved the milestone in the first T20 match against Ireland on Friday.

    Virat Kohli has scored 38 fifties in 109 T20 matches while Babar Azam scored his 38th fifty in the 108th match of his T20 career. Kohli converted only one of his 38 fifties into a century while Babar Azam has converted his fifties into centuries thrice.

    Azam also broke the record of Australia’s Arron Finch of captaining most matches in T20 format.

    Ireland defeated Pakistan by five wicket after a thrilling last over.

    Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has won another big honor as he becomes the highest run-scoring captain in T20 Internationals.

    The batting star broke the record of Australia’s Aaron Finch who scored 2,362 runs in 76 innings as a captain.

    The Pakistani maverick crossed the milestone in his 67th inning by scoring the 28th run of his innings in the match against New Zealand yesterday.

    Babar Azam has also become the first Asian cricketer to hit 400 boundaries in T20 Internationals, alongside crossing the milestone of 400 boundaries in T20 Internationals.

    Earlier, Ireland’s Paul Stirling hit 407 fours in T20 Internationals.

  • Babar Azam created a new history in PSL

    Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam created a new history in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). Babar became the first batsman to score 3000 runs in PSL history, scoring 3004 runs in 80 innings.

    On Sunday, the teams of Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators competed against each other at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

    In this match, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam invited Quetta Gladiators to bat. Gladiators’ openers gave the team a brilliant start and scored 206 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Jason Roy 75, Saud Shakeel 74.

    In pursuit of the target, Babar Azam crossed the milestone of 3000 runs in PSL while batting. Second in this list is Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars who has scored a total of 2381 runs in PSL so far.

    The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released players’ ranking, with Pakistan captain Babar Azam retaining the first position in the ODI batsmen’s ranking.

    According to the rankings, Babar Azam will enter the World Cup as the number one batsman, but the gap between India’s Shubman Gill and Babar Azam has narrowed further.

    According to the ranking, Babar Azam’s rating points remain at 857, while Shubman Gill’s rating points have increased from 814 to 847. In this ranking, Pakistan’s Imam ul Haq has moved from fourth to fifth place, while Fakhar Zaman is at the 10th spot.

    On the other hand, in the ICC ODI bowlers ranking, India’s Mohammad Siraj remains the first, Australia’s Josh Hazlewood is second in the ranking and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has moved from fifth to fourth.

    Similarly, New Zealand’s Trent Boult is fifth in the rankings, Shaheen Afridi is 8th and Haris Rauf is 22nd.

    Pakistan beats Nepal in first match of Asia Cup

    Pakistan beat Nepal by a massive margin of 238 runs in the first match of Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan put up 342 runs in 50 overs, then bowled out Nepalese team on 104 runs in the 24th over.

    In the first inning, Nepali bowlers bowled well, sending Fakhar Zaman back to the pavilion in the 6th over. On the first ball of the 7th over, Imam-ul-Haq ran out on five runs. After that, Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan took the total to 112 with a partnership of 86 runs.

    Rizwan also got run out on 44 runs in the 24th over while Agha Salman was caught out in the 27th over on 125 runs.

    After that Iftikhar Ahmed came to the crease on number six. Babar Azam scored 151 runs with 14 fours and 4 sixes, while Iftikhar also made 109 runs.
    After 49 overs the score was at 331/4. In the 50th over, Sompal took two wickets, with Pakistan finishing at 342 runs. In the last 10 overs of the first inning, Pakistan scored 129 runs with a Run Rate of 12.9 per over.

    In the second inning, Shaheen Afridi took two wickets in the very first over, while Shadab Khan took four wickets and Haris Rauf took two. Naseem and Nawaz took one wicket each.

    Baber Azam also break the record of fastest 19 centuries of South African player Hashim Amla. He complete this goal in 104 matches while Babaz Azam achieved this goal in 102 matches. Virat Kohli is now on No.3 spot with fastest 19 centuries in 124 innings.

    Pakistan will play its 2nd group match of Asia Cup 2023 against India on 2 September at Pallekele stadium. The pitch of the stadium is batter-favouring while spinner performs better then pacers.
