Earlier this year, the Bheega December crooner took to his twitter handle to slam Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar for plagiarising his famous song Nach Punjaban in his latest film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

As soon as the trailer of the upcoming film was out, Abrar shared his statement.

“I have not sold my song Nach Punjaban to any Indian movie and reserve the right to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all,” Abrar tweeted.

After a series of unpleasant exchanges between the two entities, Abrar was given the credits for his iconic song Nach Punjaban used in Johar’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

Taking to Instagram Story, the well-acclaimed Indian director shared the track’s new version of The Punjaabban Song‘s poster which featured Haq’s name alongside Tanishk Bagchi.

This came after Haq publicly called out the filmmakers for using his famed song without taking his permission or right to it. Also the way they have credited him at the end of the list is also not fair. This should have been done earlier only.

Earlier Dhawan broke his silence on the controversy by stating: “T-series has put out an official statement about this they legally licensed the rights. I think when you have international companies like YouTube and Spotify… When they are playing music they have very strict laws about copyrights. It’s no joke. All the processes have been followed.”

‘Baby Shark’ dethrones ‘Despacito’, becomes most-watched video on YouTube

Baby Shark became the most-watched YouTube video on Monday, with more than seven billion views.

‘Baby Shark Dance’, the English-language version of the song, crossed over seven billion views on YouTube on Monday, even more than Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s ‘Despacito’ as the most-watched video on the platform.

The ubiquitous children’s song was first uploaded to YouTube in June 2016. It is a remix of an American campfire song by the Seoul-based production company Pinkfong.

The song has plenty of adult fans and entered global viral fame: The Washington National’s baseball team took it up as an anthem and went on to win the World Series last year, prompting the White House to play the tune during the celebrations.

One US town played the song on a loop, while another, Florida’s West Palm Beach, used the melody to try to discourage homeless people from congregating in a public area.

Two of the last four tracks to hold the most-played record on YouTube are South Korean — rapper Psy’s megahit ‘Gangnam Style’ held the title for more than three years until it was dethroned by Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again’.

  • Prisoners forced to listen to ‘Baby Shark’ for hours as torture

Jail employees at Oklahoma, USA are facing charges for painful misbehaviour and torture as more than four prisoners were often handcuffed and forced to stand and listen to the popular children’s song Baby Shark repeatedly for hours.

Gregory Cornell Butler Jr. and Christian Charles Miles, both 21 years of age, are jailers who have been charged for the offense on counts of cruelty to prisoners and victimizing them ‘undue emotional stress.’ Along with the jail employees, their supervisor, Christopher Raymond Hendershott, 50 years of age, is also involved.

According to the officials, the prisoners were handcuffed to a wall then the song was played on loop at a loud volume on the speaker for hours.

“It was unfortunate that I could not find a felony statute to fit this fact scenario,” Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said.
