    Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari reveals her second son’s name

    Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, the daughter of late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari, announced the birth of her second child on Instagram on Thursday.

     Her second son is named Mir Sijawal Mahmood Choudhry.

    She took to Instagram and made a prayer for his name. “Named by and after his nana baba, sij is Sindhi for sun. Sijawal means the rising sun.”

    Bakhtawar posted, the news with caption, ” We are happy to announce the birth of our second baby boy.”

    The baby, a boy, was born on October 5.

    Announcing the birth of his new-born nephew, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari tweeted, “Mamu 2.0”.

    Her first child, Mir Hakim, was born on October 10, 2021. Back then, Bakhtawar also used Instagram to make the surprise announcement of his birth.

    It is likely that her second son, whose name has not yet been revealed, was also born in Dubai as Bakhtawar and her husband, Mahmood Choudhry, are based there.

    Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari left for Dubai, which led to some questions about why he had gone abroad at a crucial time for the coalition government.

    Taking to Twitter, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari clarified why her father is in Dubai.

    “My father will be spending his 67th birthday (& first as a grandfather) with his 9 month old grandson,” tweeted Bakhtawar.

    Asif Zardari will celebrate his 67th birthday tomorrow (July 26).

    In an earlier tweet, Bakhtawar said that Zardari did not run away for “11+ YEARS of jail” so why would he now.

    “[Zardari] faced courts under every regime including our wannabe dictator Select but never ran. 1st bday as a grandfather he’s here to spend with his grandson (who due to a medical procedure last month could not fly himself).”

    Bakhtawar Bhutto gave birth to a baby boy, Mir Hakim Mahmood Choudhry, on October 10, 2021.

    ‘Take your obsession with proof to court’: Bakhtawar Bhutto blasts Khan for allegations against Zardari

    Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, the daughter of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, hit back at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for levelling allegations against her father.

    Bakhtawar took to Twitter and warned Khan: “Why don’t you take your obsession with proof to the court, otherwise you will be hearing from our lawyers for defamation and lies.”

    “Still not over the absolutely no phone call? Why don’t you take your obsession with proof to the court,” wrote Bakhtawar, adding that she pities Khan as he has never read the Constitution and that nothing can save the PTI chairman “for committing treason”.

    On July 20, Khan alleged that Asif Ali Zardari was the “main architect” behind horse-trading in Lahore, adding that the former president has secured an “NRO for his corruption and purchases people with looted wealth”.

    Khan further claimed that after his government was toppled with stolen money from Sindh and NRO 2 achieved, “certified criminal Asif Zardari in cahoots with the Sharif mafia was now seeking to steal people’s mandate in Punjab by trying to purchase MPAs”.

    Actor Mansha Pasha got married to famous human rights activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir on April 10 in Karachi in an intimate wedding ceremony. The nikkah was solemnized by Islamic scholar, Javed Ghamidi on the internet. She opted for a white and silver elegant lehenga designed by Zuria Dor with matching jewellery. She wore a necklace and earrings with white pearls along with a teeka. She had a separate dupatta with gotta which enhanced the lehenga’s design. Fans flooded their Instagram with best wishes and prayers for the lovely couple when they announced their nikkah.

    Pakistani Actor, Minal Khan got married to Actor Ahsan Mohsin Ikram in a star-studded event on September 10. Minaal wore a red royal traditional dress with classic gold and pearl jewellery including a teeka, jhoomar, rings, earrings and necklace. Her dress was designed by fashion house Anas Abrar. According to the designer, 55 artisans put their hard work into the outfit. She wore jewellery by Ali Javeri Jewelers.

    MALALA YOUSAFZAI

    Pakistani Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai tied a knot with Asser Malik on November 9 in an intimate nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham. This is the most surprising event as no one was expecting it. She announced her nikkah on Twitter. Her husband is the General Manager High Performance of the Pakistan Cricket Team. She wore a simple pink dress with light embroidery and a dupatta with gotta. In jewellery, she wore only a teeka and a wedding ring. Her simplicity enhanced her natural beauty.

    Ayesha Saif, daughter of Saif-ur-Rahman Khan (former head of Ehtsaab Bureau and a close confidante of Nawaz Sharif) married Junaid Safdar, son of Maryam Nawaz, on December 15 in Islamabad. She was wearing a full embroidery golden lehenga designed by Bunto Kazmi. It was complemented by green emerald and diamond jewellery. Their supporters were stunned over her beauty at the wedding and gave lots of blessings to her.

    Pakistani actor, Mariam Ansari tied the knot with Former Cricketer, Moin Khan’s son, Owais Khan in February and their Valima was held on December 25 in Karachi.     Bollywood star, Dia Mirza exchanged wedding vows with an Indian businessman, Vaibhev Rekhi on February 15 in Mumbai. She wore a red banarasi silk saree with a golden border. She wore green and gold bangles with a teeka and drop chandelier earrings. Her fans congratulated her for breaking the stereotypes of getting married for the second time.

    Bollywood and South Indian actor, Yami Gautam married Uri: The Surgical Strike’s Director, Aditya Dhar on 4th June in the ceremony with limited guests. The intimate ceremony was held at Yami’s farmhouse in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. At her wedding event, she wore a traditional red saree that belonged to her mother. Her saree was covered with gold embroidery. Her maternal grandmother gifted the dupatta and the traditional Pahaadi Himachali Nath to the actor. Her heirloom jewellery includes a regal gold choker, teeka, and kalire decorated with cowries and coconut. She wore red and gold bangles.

    DISHA PARMAR

    Indian television actress, Disha Parmar exchanged her wedding vows with Indian singer Rahul Vaidya on July 16 in Mumbai. Their event was considered a big fat Indian wedding. She opted for an unusual dress, a red lehenga with broad motifs of peacocks at the bottom. The mirror work (ablas) was done creatively on her blouse. She opted for heavy accessories, including a choker with green pearls and earrings. She also wore a traditional nath and teeka with red bangles.

    PATRALEKHA

    Bollywood actor, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha Paul got married on 15th November in Chandigarh after dating for 11 years. Patralekha chose to wear a red embroidered saree and dupatta as a veil designed by Sabyasachi. A sweet message was written around the border of dupatta in the Bengali language, “Amar poran bhora bhalobasha aami tomaye somorpan korilam (I surrender my heartfelt love to you).” Her elegant jewellery turned her into a graceful bride on her memorable day. She wore a matha matti with embedded stone and a heavy choker, nath and earrings. She also wore some gold kadhas and kundan bangles.

    The most anticipated marriage of the year so far. Bollywood actors, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot on December 9 at the Six Senses Fort in Rajasthan. She opted to wear a bright pink lehenga with a gold embroidered blouse. The outfit was designed by Sabyasachi. She wore heavy jewellery which included a gold choker, jhumka earrings, a double matha patti, a traditional nath and custom made kaliras.

    The daughter of late Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, took to Twitter to announce the name of her son.

    “Mir Hakim Mahmood Choudhry,” tweeted Bakhtawar. She added that Mir Hakim is named after her late maternal uncle Mir and her late paternal grandfather Hakim Ali Zardari.

    Last week, Bakhtwar took to Twitter and informed her fans and followers with a health update, saying that her little baby boy is currently in a Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) but getting stronger.

    Bakhtawar tweeted, “Thank you for all the love & celebrations welcoming our little baby boy to the world.”

    Bakhtawar’s son was born on October 10.

    The daughter of the late Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday took to Twitter and informed her fans and followers with a health update, saying that her little baby boy is currently in a Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) but getting stronger.

    Bakhtawar tweeted, “Thank you for all the love & celebrations welcoming our little baby boy to the world.”

    “He was due Nov 8th but decided his own birthday and surprised us all on Oct 10th – currently in the NICU but getting stronger every day, do keep him in your prayers,” she tweeted. 

    She had posted a picture of a neonatal care unit at a UAE hospital on Instagram on October 12, indicating that the baby was born in the Gulf state.

    Bakhtawar had announced the birth of her son on October 10. 

    “We are happy to announce the birth of our baby boy,” she had written.

    Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of Asif Zardari and late Benazir Bhutto, has been blessed with a baby boy.

    Taking to Twitter, Bakhtawar announced that the baby was born on October 10. 

    Reacting to the news, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed his happiness and joy at the birth of his sister, Bakhtawar Bhutto’s son.

    Bilawal tweeted, “Officially Mamoo [ heart emoji inserted]”.

    Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar’s youngest sister took to Twitter and wrote, “Officially a Khala !!! Alhamdullilah !”

    No further details of the newborn have been shared yet.

    Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari tied the knot with businessman Mahmood Choudhry on January 29.

    Earlier, sharing pictures from the wedding on social media, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed his happiness over the occasion and remembered his late mother Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

    “Happiest moment in many years to see my sister Bakhtawar getting married,” wrote Bilawal on Twitter. “Felt like our mother was watching over us in this moment of joy.”

    Former President Asif Ali Zardari was admitted to a hospital earlier today (Friday) after his health deteriorated, reported Geo News.

    Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has arrived in Karachi from Islamabad while Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari and her husband have also returned from Dubai to attend to her father.

    Bilawal had recently said that Asif Zardari attended the Budget session despite being unwell.

    The former president was admitted to a hospital due to low sugar level in October last year.

  • Bill to make marriage of 18-year-olds mandatory will be ‘bulldozed’ by PPP, says Bakhtawar

    Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari has said that the Sindh compulsory marriage act, 2021 will be bulldozed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and that the bill has nothing to do with the Sindh Government.

    “[The bill has] nothing to do with Sindh Government but will be bulldozed by PPP,” wrote Bakhtawar in a tweet.

    In a sperate tweet, Bakhtawar clarified that the bill has been proposed by an MPA from Jamat-e-Islami (JI).

    The proposed bill seeks to make it mandatory for parents to marry off their children as soon as they turn 18. The proposed bill also states that parents who do not have any justified reason for the delay in the marriage of an adult will be fined.

    However, the bill is unlikely to be passed but the proposed bill got a massive reaction from social media with most people criticising it.
