    These are not my videos, says Bakhtawar

    Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari has hit out at all those sharing fakes videos and pictures from her alleged dholki.

    Responding to a Twitter user, Bakhtawar said: “These are obviously not my videos nor have anything to do with me. If reading isn’t your speciality (clearly says 27th on the leaked cards) then perhaps basic vision will allow you to see Bakhtawar is not in any of these videos neither are her very identifiable family members.”

    The Twitter user Anees Jillani, who had shared the videos later deleted them and apologised to Bakhtawar for posting them without verification.

    Videos and pictures which are circulating on social media show people celebrating and dancing without any masks or SOPs.

    Meanwhile, arrangements for Bakhtawar’s upcoming engagement on November 27 are in full swing at Bilawal House in Karachi. According to details, a catering committee has been set up for the event and all members of the staff have been assigned duties. Decorations for the event will be completed by Thursday night. The ceremony is expected to be held in the open area of the Bilawal House Karachi.

    Reports have also stated that Bakhtawar’s father Asif Ali Zardari is personally monitoring all the arrangements for the event.

    Moreso, it is mandatory for all those, including staff members, entering Bilawal House to undergo a coronavirus PCR test.

    Bakhtawar’s fiancé-to-be Mahmood Choudhry will be arriving in Pakistan with his family today (Thursday).

    Unfortunately, Bakhtawar’s brother Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will be unable to attend his sister’s wedding as he has tested positive for COVID-19.

    He will hopefully be able to attend the wedding which is expected to take place in January 2021 in Karachi.

    With the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) insisting that they will go ahead with the Peshawar jalsa as planned on November 22, despite a sharp increase in cases of COVID-19, Special Assistant to PM on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill has accused opposition parties of not caring about the lives of ordinary people.

    Taking a dig at Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari’s upcoming engagement, Dr Gill shared a picture of the invitation card and said: “For Bakhtawar’s engagement, you need a mandatory COVID-19 test report or you will not be allowed to enter Bilawal House. But you call ordinary citizens to your jalsas and put them at risk.”

    “These are those people who consider the public to be less than them,” added the SAPM.

    Bakhtawar will be getting engaged to Mahmood Choudhry on November 27 at Bilawal House in Karachi. All guests attending the ceremony have been requested to get tested for COVID-19 and send the results via e-mail.

    “All attendees are requested to please email a scanned copy of their negative COVID-19 PCR test result 24 hours prior to attendance. This is a mandatory requirement for security clearance,” the invitation reads.

    The guests have also been asked not to bring mobile phones with them due to security purposes.

    “Please note — no photography or mobile phones will be permitted inside the venue and photographs will be available for all guests through our official photographer.”

    “We thank you in advance for adhering to our safety protocols to keep you and your loved ones safe, and enable us all to enjoy the occasion,” it added.

    The couple will reportedly tie the knot in January 2021 in Karachi.

    Meanwhile, it is being reported that Bakhtawar is looking to recreate her mother Benazir Bhutto’s Nikkah look for her engagement.

    Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari’s eldest daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari is all set to get engaged at the end of the month. A formal announcement was made last week and given that Bakhtawar’s groom is not a public figure there was little known about him. As a result, all sorts of speculations started doing the rounds on social media with people sharing unverified stories and reports about the groom-to-be.

    In a bid to put to rest all rumours, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) released an official statement in which they shared all the required information about Bakhtawar’s husband-to-be Mahmood Choudhry.

    According to the statement, “Mahmood Choudhry is the son of Mohammad Younas and Begum Suraiya Choudhry who hail from the old town of Lahore. Mr Younas migrated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1973 where he established businesses in the construction and transport industry.”

    “Mahmood, the last born of five siblings was born on July 28, 1988, in the city of Abu Dhabi. He completed his primary schooling in Abu Dhabi and secondary schooling in the United Kingdom. Mahmood further went on to read Law at the University of Durham.”

    “The family’s primary country of residence remains the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where Mahmood continues to run his businesses in construction, finance and tech,” added the statement.

    Meanwhile, thanking everyone for their good wishes, Bakhtawar said that the cards were leaked “before they were even scheduled to be officially sent”.

    “Have absolutely NO affiliation with any family in the US which is being popularly quoted by most media,” added Bakhtawar.

    According to reports, the engagement ceremony of Bakhtawar and Mahmood Choudhry, son of Younas Choudhary, will be held on November 27 at Bilawal House Karachi.

  • Feroze Khan lashes out at Bakhtawar, asks her ‘are you finally waking up’

    Feroze Khan has lashed out Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari and asked her what her party has been doing “in power all these years”.

    Responding to a tweet of Bakhtawar’s, in which she discussed the motorway rape incident and why Pakistan needs sex education, Feroze said, “Are you finally waking up?”

    In a later tweet, Feroze also remarked that he does not think of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari “a suitable politician”.

    Feroze has been actively speaking up on matters of social interest. Earlier, when Karachi was flooded and underwater, Feroze called out PPP and the Sindh Government for being incompetent.

    Meanwhile, Feroze is urging Prime Minister Imran Khan to take strict action over the motorway rape incident.

    “I will always count on your statement that Pakistan will be ‘Riasat-e-Madina’,” wrote Feroze on social media. “I have major hope in you. This is the time you can do it. Please I beg you it’s the little that needs attention the big will all fall in place itself. Please help the voiceless please help the weak, please kill the monsters.”

    “I assure you the youth is with you if you step up and just put these guys to their place people have way too many hopes in you there needs to be rapid action please,” he said further.

    As per the latest reports, the police have revealed the identity of one of the suspects behind the gruesome incident that shook the nation. The individual, namely Abid Ali and a resident of Haroonabad town of Punjab’s Bahawalnagar district, is a proclaimed offender and has been nominated in multiple cases earlier as well. However, his accomplice is still unidentified and both the suspects are at large.

    Daughter of the late former prime minister (PM) Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari was taking a dig at the critics of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led Sindh government who had been raising their voices after Karachi was flooded following heavy moonsoon rains.

    According to Daily Dunya, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said, “Agly aath [8] din buhat eham hain. Agar halaat theek rahay to tamaam cheezei’n khol di jayein gi.”

    The minister’s statement comes as the Punjab government imposes a province-wide smart lockdown ahead of Eidul Azha. It will remain in place until August 5.

    Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz shared an old letter from her father Nawaz Sharif, head of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and some pictures on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

    The letter dated October 11, 2019, said that the National Accountability Beaurea (NAB) is taking Nawaz Sharif away in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. Sharif tells his daughter to be strong and not lose hope in the letter addressed to his daughter.

    Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday took a break from his political activities to bond with nature.

    Accompanied by his sister, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal made his way to Hawke’s Bay Beach where he released 300 baby green turtles into the sea. According to details, Bilawal was very excited to touch the baby turtles who were hatched at the Marine Turtle Conservation Nursery of Sindh Wildlife Department.

    The Sindh Wildlife Department, along with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), has been carrying out a sea turtle conservation project in Pakistan since 1979. Adults are tagged and the eggs collected from the beach are incubated in special enclosures at Hawkesbay and Sandspit. Hatchlings are weighed and counted at the Sindh Wildlife lab at the beach and the relevant data is gathered.

    Though adult sea turtles spend most of their lives in the oceans, they return to the beach where they were born to lay their eggs. Every year in October and November, green sea turtles arrive at the sandy beaches of Sindh and Balochistan which are important nesting sites for sea turtles. The turtles lay their eggs there and leave after burying them. This is where the wildlife department steps in a takes care of the eggs, which are vulnerable and can easily be preyed. After an incubation period of about two months the youngsters hatch and scramble towards the water. Only one in a thousand survive to adulthood.

    The week has been pretty lit as far as Pakistani politics is concerned with three high-profile arrests, including those of former President Asif Ali Zardari, Altaf Hussain and Hamza Shehbaz, and the 2019-20 budget being presented.

    Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, who often expresses her political thoughts on Twitter, took to the social media to defend her father and in the process, got into a Twitter feud with State Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul, who is also no stranger to controversy.

    It all started when Gul tweeted a picture of the arrested politicians crying, referring to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, who in his election campaign, had vowed to “make his opponents cry”.

    Bakhtawar responded to Gul in a tweet she later deleted. But, Zartaj had already taken a screenshot. She shared the tweet, calling Bakhtawar “disoriented”, “timid” and a “coward” and referred to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari as her “sister”.

    Bakhtawar was not to back down and mocked Gul for her accent at the recent speech at the UN-Habitat Assembly.

    Zartaj then decided to have the final word.

    Later, Zartaj even took a dig at Bilawal when he called the budget “economic suicide.”
