A husband in Egypt divorced his new bride for an absurd reason.
During a hearing at the family court of Cairo, the lawyer of the woman revealed that the morning after the wedding, the woman’s husband started quarrelling with her because of the colour of her eyes after she took off her contact lenses post- event.
The real colour of his wife’s eyes is green which the husband did not know about.
To end the quarrel, the wife tried to tell her husband that poor eyesight compelled her to always wears contact lenses and take them off only when she sleeps, but all was in vain.
On the other hand, the ex-husband of the woman said that since the wife’s eyes are green, their children could also have green eyes — citing that as the reason for asking for a divorce.
According to Al Arabiya News, the woman belongs to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and is a law student.
Former actress Noor Bukhari, married to Aun Chaudhary, an ally of PMLN, couldn’t help but admire Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s beauty after viral photos and videos showed her in a Punjab Police uniform. “Maryam Nawaz is very beautiful in real life too, the camera did not do justice to her beauty, Allah has made her very beautiful,” she said.
Morning show host Madiha Naqvi echoed the sentiment, stating, “Whatever you say, I have never seen such a lovely Chief Minister.” Maryam Nawaz herself reflected on the experience, saying, “When I wore the police uniform, I realized how big a responsibility it was. Yes, but I make decisions, you have a greater responsibility if you implement them.”
She emphasized her journey, saying, “I had to prove myself to come here, I had to go through the river of fire and it was good that I was trained, no one can say that now. She is sitting here because her father was the Prime Minister.”
However, not everyone was impressed. A request to register a case against Maryam Nawaz for wearing the police uniform was filed in the Sessions Court Lahore by Aftab Bajwa Advocate. The petition argued that wearing the uniform of a state institution is against the law.
Actress Nawal Saeed has once again caught the public’s attention, this time by revisiting revelations she made about Pakistani cricketers in a past interview. A resurfaced video clip from Momin Saqib’s show ‘Had Kurdi’ resurfaced online, shedding light on her interactions with Pakistani cricket stars.
In the viral clip, Saeed disclosed that she received numerous messages from Pakistani cricketers, expressing admiration for her beauty. The actress expressed astonishment at receiving such attention from players representing Pakistan on the global stage hinting at inappropriate behavior from cricketers with verified Instagram accounts.
Further fueling speculation, additional revelations emerged during a Ramadan transmission hosted by Nadia Khan and Ejaz Aslam. Saeed’s vague responses to questions about cricketers’ messages added more mystery to the situation. When asked about cricketer Naseem Shah, she hesitated, and a similar reaction followed when Shoaib Malik’s name was mentioned.
Clarifying her stance, Saeed admitted to receiving messages from cricketers but expressed regret over making the statement public. She emphasized the importance of professionalism and dignity, particularly for individuals in official positions such as cricketers and sports personalities.
Nawal Saeed, who rose to fame for her acting skills after her debut in 2017 with the drama serial ‘Yeqin Ka Safar,’ has quickly become popular among millions of fans.
Huda Kattan, the founder of Huda Beauty, posted a video on December 11, stating that she will “not be intimidated” by the backlash she has faced for speaking up against Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
“I am speaking on behalf of humanity, and I will not be intimidated,” Kattan said in her video.
“We can’t be afraid to lose anything; we have to trust the process. If we lose something, something else will come to us the right way because we are doing good work — I believe that wholeheartedly,” she said.
She also asserted that she is willing to risk her business for what’s right and fair.
“I am willing to risk my entire business, everything that I have on that, in search of the truth and justice,” Kattan stressed.
“I’m not antisemitic; I’m not anti any people and never will be. I stand against that,” Kattan added, pointing at the attempts being made to redefine terms related to genocide and that Israel is jeopardizing Jewish people.
Bryan Johnson is an American entrepreneur who is allegedly spending millions of dollars on an attempt to live longer than most individuals.
The 46-year-old biotech entrepreneur has a longing for feeling 18-years-old again, and in his efforts to achieve that, he has an expensive routine tied with hopes of reversing his age.
Credit: Business Insider
Insider reports that Johnson spends about $2 million every year on an experimental program called Project Blueprint. His goal is to reduce his biological age and live forever.
Johnson wakes up at 5 a.m., takes more than 100 supplements per day, his diet is calculated and he has his dinner (final and third meal of the day) at 11 a.m.
He also goes to gym for cardio and weight training; and undergoes treatments like red light therapy and ultrasounds. He exposes himself to a laser face-shield to reduce collagen loss and wrinkles.
Johnson works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., spends two and half hours for ‘family time’, relaxation, skincare, and dental care and goes to sleep by 8:30 p.m.
He has kept his routine so calculated and is so adamant in living forever that he drives as slowly as 16 mph in Los Angeles since he believes that, “Driving is the most dangerous thing we do.”
“What would be a more beautiful irony than me getting hit by a bus and dying?” he told TIME.
He has also pointed out that according to the data compiled by his doctors, he has the bones of a 30-year-old and the heart of a 37-year-old, but doctors remain dubious of his lifestyle and its possible outcomes since there is not enough research to support the success of his project.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori was recently seen in a video talking about, of all the things, his new haircut. The background music and his facial expressions might seem a bit serious but he flaunts his hair cut and style with panache while recommending Shoaib Salon.
His Facebook page states that he is a “renowned Stylist & Hair Dresser” who is based in Karachi and has “experience of 12 years.” I rather enjoyed his Instagram profile bio more which says, “Playing with fire and scissors.”
Shoaib’s timeline is filled with pictures of Pakistani celebrities, his salon and him at work for Express News’s program transmission but what we found fascinating was this BTS video of Kamran Tessori getting ready.
Culinary icon and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart has made history at age 81 as the first elderly person to pose for the front cover of the swimsuit magazine Sports Illustrated.
Gushing about her experience on the ‘TODAY’ show, Stewart opened up about how she at first felt she wasn’t the right person to pose for the cover, but then chose to do it with confidence:
“I like that picture,” Stewart said with a giggle on TODAY. “I’m sort of shaking because it’s odd to go to an island and then get changed into nine different bathing suits in one day in front of all those people … it turned out OK.”
“You know, that was kind of a request I have never had before,“ the food writer chuckled. “And to be on the cover at my age was a challenge. I think I met the challenge.”
In a statement, MJ Day, the editor in chief of Sports Illustrated, said that women like Martha Stewart were legends who had forged their own career, so it was important to have her as representation of the type of women shaping the future:
“Martha Stewart is a legend. The definition of a great female entrepreneur who built a dynasty against insurmountable odds. While the industry wavers on its arbitrary notion of beauty, our issue has stayed the course, showcasing the women of today, the women shaping the future. This year, we’re featuring an extremely diverse group of women starting with our cover models, who are collectively the most unapologetic women from different walks of life who continue to forge their own paths on their own terms.”
Estée Lauder, a luxury cosmetics brand, has announced that it will pay $2.8 billion to acquire Tom Ford, a luxury clothing brand.
This will be the US cosmetics company’s largest acquisition to date.
Estée Lauder won the contract over Gucci’s owner Kering SA by outbidding them. The company already licences Tom Ford cosmetics and fragrances.
The deal will “open new prospects,” according to Estée Lauder.
Tom Ford said in a joint statement with Estée Lauder: “I could not be happier with this acquisition.”
He said the Estée Lauder companies had been “an extraordinary partner from the first day of my creation of the company and I am thrilled to see them become the luxury stewards in this next chapter of the Tom Ford brand.”
The Council of Fashion Designers of America is currently led by Tom Ford, who first established his company in 2005. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he served as the creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
The companies declared that Tom Ford will continue serving as creative director for at least until 2023.
According to analysts, the luxury goods market is poised for global expansion at this moment, and China is gradually removing its coronavirus import limitations, allowing the high-demand consumers in this market to gradually resume their pre-pandemic spending habits.
American supermodel Bella Hadid has revealed that she wept “every day” and was stricken with eating disorders and chronic anxiety as a teen before she shot to fame as a model.
In an interview with i-D magazine, the 25-year-old opened up about her youth as she said that she was smoking heavily from the age of 14 and suffered body dysmorphia after she found success, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“Growing up, I thought it was normal that I had this chronic anxiety and this disassociation, crying every day and not knowing who I was,” Bella Hadid recalled.
“Whether it was eating disorders or smoking a pack of Marlboros since the age of 14, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is what all of the kids are doing’. I realised that maybe that was me trying to figure out why I felt that way. And in reality, all I needed was therapy.”
Hadid went on to talk about struggling with body dysmorphia in her early days as a model. “During that part of my life, I was so out of body, disassociating so much… I was so confused by what people saw of me,” the younger sister of model Gigi Hadid added.
Bella Hadid is now getting ready to make her acting debut in series ‘Ramy’, which tells of a first-generation American-Muslim is torn between his family’s traditional and modern American culture.
Bella Hadid said about revelling in her Palestinian heritage during the shooting.
“To go onto a set and see multiple Palestinians, Arabs, and people that are cut from the same cloth as me was really, really beautiful.”
She added about her belief speaking out for Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict with Israel previously costing her work. “A few companies won’t work with me anymore, and a few people may think I’m crazy. But that doesn’t bother me and it doesn’t compare to what Palestinians suffer on a daily basis.”
Earlier this year she admitted to regretting her decision to get a nose job at the age of 14. The beauty standards in the modelling industry have always been controversial for promoting unrealistic body types. Hadid, who has opened up about her anxiety and depression previously, speaks about her cosmetic surgery, and how she felt while being compared to her older sister Gigi Hadid.
Both Bella and Gigi have become big names in the fashion industry. The sisters have modelled for many big luxury brands like Chanel, Givenchy, Versace, Dior, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and more. They have also been on several magazine covers.
As exciting it may seem, being a fashion model comes with its own cons, and Bella Hadid has certainly faced them. During an interview with Vogue, Bella detailed her struggles with body image and mental health. She further admitted feeling “ugly” and “uncool” in comparison to Gigi Hadid. “People think I fully f*cked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” she said.
“I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors. I think I would have grown into it,” Bella added. She then went on to talk about being compared to Gigi Hadid. “I was the uglier sister. I was the brunette. I wasn’t as cool as Gigi, not as outgoing,” she said. “When you get told things so many times, you do just believe it. I always ask myself, how did a girl with incredible insecurities, anxiety, depression, body-image issues, eating issues, who hates to be touched, who has intense social anxiety – what was I doing getting into this business?” Bella continued.
While the fashion industry can be harsh, so can be the fans and netizens who reacted to Bella admitting to getting a nose job. People on Twitter are now criticising Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, for allowing the model to get nose surgery at such a young age.
In 2021, Scientists ‘measured’ that Bella is the most beautiful woman in the world. The 24-year-old was found to be 94.35 percent ‘accurate’ to the Golden Ratio of Beauty.
The list was compiled back in 2019 using computerized mapping techniques by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, who utilises the technology in his work.
Bella’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the Greeks’ idea of perfection.
Singer Beyoncé, 39, was second, coming in with a 92.44 percent match-up to those standards, while actress Amber Heard, 33, was third with 91.85 percent and pop star Ariana Grande, 26, was fourth with 91.81 percent.
De Silva said Bella Hadid holds the crown for the most beautiful woman in the world.
