    When Salman Khan rejected superhit ‘Chak De India’ for his Pakistani fans

    A major report in Indian media has unveiled that Bollywood actor Salman Khan rejected the blockbuster film Chak De India to not upset his fans in Pakistan.

    Later the film was offered to Shah Rukh Khan in 2007 and the film turned out to be a huge blockbuster. During his interview with The Indian Express, he said that he does not regret not doing the film.

    It’s no secret that Shah Rukh Khan’s 2007 hit Chak De! India was first offered to Salman Khan, however, what many might not know is that Salman rejected the film to safeguard his Pakistani fans’ feelings. Talking to The Indian Express in 2007 about the film which went on to become a major hit for SRK and filmmaker Aditya Chopra, the Dabangg actor said, “I don’t regret not doing the film but I agree that my judgement about it was wrong.”

    The Ek Tha Tiger hero went on to list two reasons based on which he had rejected the film at the time.

    “I had a problem with the climax. My reasoning was that if you lose to Pakistan then you also have to win with Pakistan. I also had a problem with the title. I wish they hadn’t added India to the title. I felt our fans in Pakistan and Bangladesh might feel bad.”

    Chak De! India starred SRK as a disgraced hockey player who goes on to coach the Indian women’s hockey team to a world cup victory. 

    Salman has always greeted Pakistani celebrities with warmth.

    The Woh Lamhe star shared a screenshot on her Instagram stories which features Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s praise for Kangana’s craft and performance in the film.

    However the screenshot features an imposter account of the PM and not the real one.

    Earlier the Queen diva, whose film Thalaivii recently streamed on Netflix, shared a list of Netflix’s ‘Top 10 in Pakistan on October 10, 2021’ on her Instagram Stories.

    It showed Thalaivii trending number one in Pakistan. She then wrote, “On a lighter note, jaan ke tasalli hue deshadrohi sirf isi desh me nahi hain (relieved to know that traitors are not in just our country).”

    Thalaivii is still trending on number four on Pakistani Netflix.

    Actor Adnan Siddiqui, is currently in London to promote his Imran Ashraf-Amar Khan starrer film Dum Mastam.

    The senior actor met the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is currently resising in the European city.

    However the tweet has been posted from a fake handle and is not authentic.

    Earlier the Ahista Ahista star shared pictures when he met the legendary Indian musician, AR Rahman at Dubai Expo 2020 after cancelling his booked flight on December 21

    Mom star uploaded a selfie on December 24 with the Oscar-winning musician, AR Rahman on his Instagram. He shared his experience as the evening not to be forgotten ever after listening live singing from AR Rahman.

    Adnan said, “I was supposed to fly back on December 21, stayed put another day only to see A R Rahman sahib perform live.”

    The live performance lasted for around three hours where people were standing for listening to his soulful music. He considered it a privilege that he immersed in his ethereal music.

    He also revealed the humility of a legendary musician and international icon, who took him backstage to introduce his crew.

    He added, “Not everyone can be Mr AR Rahman.”

    Last month, Popular Indian singer Arijit Singh performed at a concert in Dubai Abu Dhabi. During the concert, the Channa Mereya singer took out the time to praise Pakistani singers, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. 

    Later, he went on to sing the popular song of Atif Aslam’s Pehli Nazar Mein from the Bollywood film, Race.

    Bollywood actor and activist, Swara Bhasker took to her Twitter account and shared her opinion on the ongoing situation in Pakistan. She is famous for giving controversial statements about both India and Pakistan.

    She penned down, “Looks like the Supreme Court of Pakistan stood up for its country and citizens and not their government.. so apparently, it is possible. Sigh!.”

    She indirectly highlighted that the Indian apex court could do similar actions to safeguard India and its citizens. Many Indian trolled to compare the situation of Pakistan with India.

    One user said, “Looks like Swara Bhaskar of Pakistan stood up for its country and citizens and not their government.. so apparently it is possible. Sigh!.”

    Swara Bhasker is currently in the United States (US) to attend a seminar at the School of Information symposium on ‘Social Media Influencers and New Political Economy in South Asia & Africa’.

    Another user threatened to stay over there and not return to India.

    She said, “Imran Khan is not stopping himself from appreciating India. Look at this shameless woman. Let God stop her to return to India and stay where she is currently now.”

    A user threatened to apply for Pakistan citizenship so it would be easy to reach out Pakistan Supreme Court.

    In past, Swara Bhasker was trolled by Pakistani netizens over her insensitive remarks about the Shariah Laws in Pakistan over banning her film, Veere Di Wedding in Pakistan in 2018.

    Taking to Instagram, Alsaud dropped a series of images from his meeting with the above-mentioned stars, with a post that read: “Delighted to have engaged in insightful conversations on the beautiful world of films, exploring cross-cultural collaborations with Bollywood superstars @iamsrk @beingsalmankhan @akshaykumar #SaifAliKhan.”

    Al Turki also posted a selfie with Shah Rukh with the location tag placing them at the Bollywood superstar’s seaside Mumbai home, Mannat.

    On December 10, 2021, Saudi Arabia opened the doors for Bollywood to perform at the big event titled, Da-Bangg tour in Riyadh along with other actors including Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Aayush Sharma, and Saiee Manjrekar.

    Salman and his troupe’s power-packed performance saw a sea of fans attending the concert, making it a huge success.

    The Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan has finally paid 2.61 crore PKR in GST for the sale of his non-fungible token (NFT) collection, which was auctioned for 17.16 crore PKR in the first week of November 2021.

    Some of the netizens may remember that Bachchan had received a warning from the Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI) to pay the imposed GST.

    Despite Bachchan’s deposit, the DGGI is expected to continue its probe into tax avoidance.

    An NFT venture stated in August 2021 that Bachchan’s NFT collection would be available on its platform. Bachchan had signed an agreement with ‘Rhiti Entertainment’ to convert some of his pictures or illustrations into digital assets.

    Interestingly, this also made Bachchan one of the first Indian actors to support digital art and NFTs.

    Apart from the photos and posters, a famous collection of poems written by Bachchan’s father and recorded in his own voice, ‘Madhushala’ was the most successful auction.

    The NFT auction had garnered 17.16 crore PKR and attracted 18 percent GST. Big B was bound to pay taxes worth 12.61 crore PKR from the sale, which has been now deposited by the actor.

The suicide of Prabhas’s fan has shocked everyone. Ravi Teja is a big fan of Prabhas. He was very upset with the mixed result. He committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.”

    Reportedly, the incident has been reported to the police and they are already investigating the matter.
