Queen of morning shows Nida Yasir celebrated her birthday on a bright Sunday afternoon at The Forest in Karachi.
All of Nida and husband Yasir Nawaz’s friends including Bushra Ansari, Javed Sheikh, Zeba Bakhtiar, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Iqra Aziz, Yasir Hussain and Faysal Quraishi were present on the occasion.

Hum TV on December 16 celebrated the 16th anniversary of its premier entertainment channel in Islamabad in a special show hosted by Ahmed Ali Butt and Shiffa Yousafzai.
The anniversary celebrations was a star-studded event attended by prominent faces of the country’s entertainment landscape and dignitaries including DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari, Adnan Siddiqui, Bushra Ansari, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Farhan Saeed, Sarah Khan, Vaneeza Ahmed, Momina Duraid, Usman Mukhtar, Sultana Siddiqui President HUM Network Limited and CEO HUM Network Duraid Qureshi.
While everyone enjoyed watching their favourite stars take the stage, it was DG ISPR and SAPM Zulfi Bukhari who Twitter couldn’t stop talking about.
Bushra Bashir [formerly Ansari] is having a serious case of nostalgia and her Instagram feed is proof of that. The actor took her fans on a trip down memory lane and shared pictures of herself with other celebrities and at exotic locations across the world.

Bushra also recalled the time when she was a child actor.
“When you become a child star at the age of 10, what a memory”, wrote Bushra along with a black and white photo.
She further shared that she was in Class 5 at the time and became the ‘Phoolon ki Shehzadi‘ when she received a cheque of Rs 90 from PTV.
Bushra also recalled the time when she wrote her first long play ‘Neele Dhoop‘.
The wedding was an intimate affair with only close friends and family of the couple present. Meera also shared a lovely picture of herself with her children on her big day.
Bushra Bashir, formerly known as Bushra Ansari, has urged Maulana Tariq Jamil to break his silence over the motorway gang rape and hold a ‘dharna‘ or ‘ihtejaj‘ (protest) in this regard.
In a social media post, the actor wrote: “Thinking what to ask and what to think.”
“Just want the rapist to be alive, not to be hanged. They should live the rest of their lives, with the pain and helplessness with broken legs broken arms and without the organs which destroy women and their souls,” she continued.
“I demand and strongly demand to cut and throw their sickness tools and make them impotent and break their legs and hands so that they just become a symbol for all others who are going to do this today tomorrow or day after. Because they will keep doing this until they don’t see these results,” said the actor, adding that they should be made an example out of.
Bashir then went onto say that she has had enough.
“Islam ki bohat [baatein] karty hain toh practical banain. Aankh k badly aankh, toh izzat or zilat k badley zilat.”
Later the actor also said that those who are protecting the criminals should also be punished for doing so.

Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, the police have identified one of the suspects behind the gruesome incident that shook the nation. The individual, namely Abid Ali is a resident of Haroonabad town of Punjab’s Bahawalnagar district, is a proclaimed offender, and has been nominated in multiple cases earlier as well. While Ali is still at large, the other suspect identified by the Punjab government Waqarul Hassan reportedlysurrendered himself on Sunday at Lahore’s Model Town police station. He claimed that his brother-in-law was using the mobile phone which had wrongly implicated him in the crime, adding that he himself was not involved. The police have said that they will conclude the matter after they receive the DNA report of the suspect.
Late last week, Bushra Ansari had come under fire for lashing out and wishing death upon a fan who criticised her on-going drama Zebaish.
Though Ansari later deleted her comments, she continued to receive criticism. Following the backlash, Bushra released an official statement in which she apologised to the person in question and other fans for her comments and outrage.
“Artists, writers, directors and producers are creative people who put a lot of heart and soul into their work. In a way, their project becomes like a child for them that they create with love for their audience,” wrote Bushra. “They work night and day, in heat and in sickness to make these productions for the screen. I am sure you can understand if someone ridicules your work, it can hurt your feelings. I believe that everyone has a right to like or dislike our work, but language is important.”
She continued, “I realise that last week, I overreacted and wrote harsh words on Instagram. In a moment, I realised my mistake and deleted it, but in the time of social media, it became a tamasha and sadly spread like fire.”
“The fact is my words were too harsh and I did not handle my anger well,” said the actor.
Concluding her statement, Bushra said: “In my performances and words, I have always tried to uphold our values. And in the same manner, I want to show my fans and younger generation that I am accepting my mistake. We have to be good role models for our youth so our society and values continue to improve.”
Bushra had lashed out at Lubna Faryad, who has gained acclaim as the Amma who reviews dramas on the digital media platform Galaxy Lollywood. In a review Amma had criticised Zebaish following which Bushra lashed out at Amma, referring to her as “cheap low-class person”.
Bushra had used very harsh words against Amma, remarking “They are the coronas in our lives. Allah will finish them InshaAllah.”

Zebaish, which airs on Hum TV, has been written by Bushra, who also the leading lady of the drama. The drama also stars her sister Asma Abbas, niece Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui, Babar Ali, Zoya Nasir and Shabbir Jan.
Veteran actor Bushra Ansari also shared a video of herself talking to Alamgir to clear the air and elucidate that he is still alive.
Talking to Alamgir, Ansari jokes, “You are 100-years-old and have not passed away. You have survived till now so you don’t have any right to die.”
In response, Alamgir laughs and says: “I will not die before 200.”
“I was so scared [when I heard the rumour]. Mujhe aadat hogayi hai teri. I have told everyone to stop spreading such nonsensical stuff,” continued Bushra, adding, “We’re already receiving such bad news and I would never want to hear something like this. The song features a plethora of celebrities including Adnan Siddiqui, Imran Abbas, Zara Noor Abbas, Faysal Qureshi, Ahsan Khan, Asma Abbas, Zhalay Sarhadi, Asad Siddiqui, Anoushey Abbasi and Gohar Rasheed among others.
According to the song’s producer, “Tum Se Hai Yeh Watan is a symphonic tribute to the sovereignty of Pakistan featuring silver screen artists as singers. This song is dedicated to our nation’s unsung heroes during COVID-19 pandemic and a salute to the armed forces, doctors, engineer’s, scientists, artists and our overseas Pakistanis and the entire nation.”
The song has been recorded and produced over social media apps in a completely virtual environment.
“It is a special effort to uplift nationalism within our hearts”, says the producer.
