PM Imran’s love for wife Bushra, who has ‘great wisdom’, melts hearts

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said he could not have survived without his wife Bushra Bibi who is his soulmate and has great wisdom.

“I discuss everything with her… the problems I face in the government and dealing with complex situations,” the premier said while speaking to German magazine Der Spiegel.

“Only a fool doesn’t talk about everything with his wife,” he said.

It, however, wasn’t the first time PM Imran praised his wife for her wisdom. Upon the completion of Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s first 100 days, he had credited her for handling “such a difficult life” with grace.

In an earlier interview, the premier had said that he plans to stay with his wife Bushra Bibi till last breath. Commenting on his marital life, he had acknowledged his wife to be a blessing from Allah.

    INTERVIEW TO DER SPIEGEL:

On Friday, the premier also expressed concern over India’s antics in occupied Kashmir and warned that the region was a hotspot that could “flare up at any time”.

He urged the United States (US) to treat it in an “evenhanded” manner, saying that Washington was under impression that India could limit China’s influence in the region. “But it is a completely flawed premise.”

“India is a threat to its neighbours… to China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and to us,” he said and added the extremist government in New Delhi was inspired by the fascist Nazi state from the 20th century.

In the wide-ranging interview, the premier also spoke of the US presidential election, Afghan peace process, regional and global stability, Islamabad’s ties with Beijing, Pakistan’s COVID-19 response, economic challenges facing the country and the new law prohibiting media to report on the military.

PTI MPA removed from Punjab information body after ‘leaked calls discussing PM, his wife, others’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Uzma Kardar, who had earlier made headlines for her mention in Reham Khan’s notorious book, was on Monday removed from an information body of the Punjab government hours after she was allegedly heard discussing Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, First Lady Bushra Bibi, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak among others in a series of leaked phone calls.

According to a notification issued by Punjab Information Minister Fayazul Hasan Chohan, Kardar was removed from the provincial government’s Media Strategy Committee. No reason was, however, given in the notification, a copy of which is available with The Current.

The sacking comes hours after journalist Mansoor Ali Khan said a call recording of someone from the present government could surface very soon and become very embarrassing for the PTI government.

It was followed by audio clips doing rounds over the internet.

While Kardar could allegedly be heard discussing PM Imran and the first lady in one recording, she allegedly made outrageous claims regarding Buzdar, Khattak, Punjab Child Protection Bureau Chairperson Sarah Ahmad, “dirty politics” inside the PTI, Punjab Info Minister Fayazul Hasan Chohan and PTI’s allied Pakistan Muslim League (PML), in other leaked audio clips.

The Current does not endorse any of the recordings or other content available when the above-embedded links are accessed but is committed to keeping our followers aware of whatever is going on.

While the PTI lawmaker was not available for a comment, the audio has drawn mixed reactions as many question the motive behind the leaks.

Among others, Mansoor has also questioned who recorded the phone calls and why.

Meanwhile, reports claim that legal action will also soon be initiated against the PTI lawmaker.

Kaala Jadu: Jemima shares poster of herself, PM Imran and Bushra Bibi

Jemima Goldsmith has a refreshing sense of humour and she certainly knows how to take a joke. She shared an interesting poster on Twitter, that has gone viral.

The poster has a picture of her along with Bushra Bibi and her former husband PM Khan. Bushra Bibi is seen looming above her like a sorceress with Jemima lost in thought and Khan sitting on his PM chair. The poster says, ‘Tu nay kaisa jaadu keeya’ in Urdu.

Jemima tweeted the poster with the caption. “Who doesn’t love a Lollywood poster? Spotted today by a friend in Lahore. Caption: what kind of black magic did you do?”

  • Twitter Theory: Why didn’t Bushra Bibi accompany PM Imran on US trip?

Twitter Theory: Why didn’t Bushra Bibi accompany PM Imran on US trip?

Since the first lady did not accompany Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on his maiden trip to the United States (US), a theory to address the concerns of the people has been introduced by Twitterati.

After meeting President Donald Trump as well as top US govt officials, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, PM Imran on Wednesday left for Pakistan, marking the end of his three-day visit to Washington.

While some termed the premier’s trip as a “historic” one owing to the chemistry he forged with President Trump and the crowd he pulled for the event at Capital One Arena, a group of social media users pointed out that Bushra Bibi was not accompanying PM Imran.

Multiple theories made their way to Twitter as people started guessing why the first lady was nowhere to be seen; however, the most popular one remained that the premier was actually “saving taxpayers’ money”.

“I, as a taxpayer, do not want my taxes wasted on irrelevant persons’ airfare and accommodation,” wrote one user.

“Because our PM saves taxpayers’ money. It’s not a family tour,” wrote another.

Some, on the other hand, seemed to believe that the first lady’s choice of attire was the reason behind her absence in Trump’s America.
