Babar Azam’s father hopeful for son’s comeback, prays for Pakistan’s win ahead of PAK vs NZ semi-final

Azam Siddique, the father of Pakistan captain Babar Azam, has extended his best wishes and prayers to his son and Pakistan team ahead of their decisive T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final against New Zealand.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets on Sunday to advance to the final four of the big tournament. However, defeating the Tigers would not have been enough to move the Men in Green to the next round, since they required either Zimbabwe to defeat India or the Netherlands to defeat South Africa.

On Sunday, Fortune backed Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval. The Europeans defeated the Proteas by 13 runs, paving the way for the 2009 World T20 champions.

Before the crucial encounter, the captain’s father took to his official Instagram account to wish the green shirts success.

So far, the ongoing T20 World Cup has not gone well for Babar. The hitter has struggled to score big for his team, scoring only 39 runs in five Super 12 matches.

However, with his name and track record, he cannot be counted off right away.

On Wednesday, November 9, Pakistan will face the runners-up from last year at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Moreover, on Thursday, November 10, India will face England in the second semi-final of the major event at the Adelaide Oval.

Fake Mr Bean sparks unexpected tussle between Pakistan-Zimbabwe fans ahead of T20 World Cup match

The fans of Pakistan and Zimbabwe teams are engaged in a heated Twitter debate as the two teams get ready for their important match in the 2022 T20 World Cup on Thursday (October 27) at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

Many are surprised to learn that the controversy on both sides has nothing to do with cricket and is instead a result of a bogus Mr Bean. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) post on their pre-match training session received a response from a Zimbabwean supporter, which sparked debates on both sides.

“As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan..we will settle the matter tomorrow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK,” a fan wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Later, it was discovered that a Pakistani guy named Asif Muhammed had visited Zimbabwe in 2016 and resembled the famous role portrayed by Rowan Atkinson. According to reports, the person who performed at roadshows, went to a comedy event and participated in the Harare Agricultural Show.

Speaking of the game, Pakistan will attempt to avenge their tragic last-ball loss to Team India in the opening encounter of the 2022 T20 World Cup on Sunday at the MCG. To keep their chances of making the semi-finals alive, the Men in Green are in desperate need of a victory.

Despite the Proteas being on the verge of winning in Hobart on Monday, Zimbabwe’s match against South Africa ended in a draw, giving them an unexpected point to open their campaign.

Indian cricket team to visit Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that the Indian cricket team will most likely visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

The Pakistan tour for the 2019 Asia Cup is on the BCCI’s agenda before its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 18, according to a report on an Indian website.

According to the report, India was willing to fly to Pakistan to take part in the competition. A BCCI source told the publication, “However, India’s visit will be subject to the clearance of the government.”

“There is always the possibility of staging the event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as was done for this year’s Asia Cup, but the BCCI memo appears to indicate otherwise,” the report stated.

Prior to the ICC Cricket World Cup in India, which is slated for October and November 2023, Pakistan will host the 50-over Asia Cup. In order to compete in the Asia Cup, India last travelled to Pakistan in 2008.
