    ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ makes history as first Pakistani film released on TikTok

    Director Sarmat Khoosat’s beleaguered film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ is making history as the first full-length film to partner with TikTok. The film will be divided into 12 to 15 parts, each part lasting more than a minute and will be available on Tik Tok.

    ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ (Circus of Life) tells the story of a religious man who faces criticism for dancing, highlighting Pakistan’s strict gender roles. Despite controversy, the film won international awards, including the Kim Ji-Seok Award and Snow Leopard Award for Best Film. It was also Pakistan’s official entry for the 93rd Academy Awards.

    Tik Tok press team quoted Sarmad Khoosat as saying, “Our film inspires kindness, promotes tolerance, and encourages peace. I’m thrilled it will be the first Pakistani film officially released on TikTok, and we cannot wait for the platform’s vibrant global community to enjoy the movie.”

    Early in November, Astiyazh Haghighi and her fiancé Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, both in their early 20s, were detained when a video of them dancing in front of the Azadi Tower went viral.

    Haghighi disregarded Iran’s severe regulations by refusing to wear a headscarf. Additionally, women are not permitted to dance in public.

    Since the death of Mahsa Amini in September, who had been detained for allegedly breaking the headscarf laws, ignited protests that grew into a movement against the regime, Iranian authorities have harshly cracked down on all forms of dissent.

    However, government officials have rejected the claim saying that the video was old. They further claimed that volunteer workers had made the transgender person dance.

    A video has gone viral on social media in which a group of girls can be seen falling as the dance floor collapses underneath their feet.

    According to reports, the incident took place in Brazil at a family gathering.

    Footage of the frightening accident shows the women forming a small circle with their arms wrapped around each other as they danced to a song at a birthday party on Saturday.

    In the video, the women were dancing to the song Tem Cabaré Essa Noite by Nattan and Novaldo Marques.
    The 38-year-old Gabriela Carvalho told the Brazilian news site G1 that as they were dancing at her grandmother’s house, they felt the ground tremble.

    ‘Then when we really fell for good, that’s when I realized the seriousness of the situation,’ she said.

    ‘It was horrible. I thought we weren’t going to come back,’ she said. ‘We really dived. I even thought that it was going to stop at another place as we went down.’

    Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) came to an end on Friday in Samarkand, Uzbekistan where at one point, eight world leaders attended the summit to the sounds of 80s Bollywood songs.

    A video was posted by journalist Sidhant Sibal on Thursday in which Indian songs “Jimmy Jimmy Aja Aja” and “I’m a disco dancer” were being played to welcome the SCO delegates.

    This year’s summit was hosted by Uzbekistan from September 15-16. Many historic meetings took place at the SCO including the one between Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time. Other memorable moments included PM Shehbaz interacting with officials in Tajiki, before starting a formal meeting with the country’s president.

    A highly anticipated meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Putin also took place. Xi called Putin his “old friend”, but the mutually endorsing speeches of the two authoritarian heavyweights were muted.

    As expected, Indian PM Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif did not have a one-on-one meeting as relations between the rival neighbors remained cold.

    Saboor also took a dig at the drama’s editor.

    Recently social media users paused and screen-recorded a scene where Faraz (Khushhal Khan) is fighting with his brother while his wife Sameen (Saboor) is seen laughing in the frame, completely out of character. She snaps back to the character immediately but even the editing department couldn’t cut out the error.

    The clip went viral immediately and then started a plethora of memes on the micro-blogging site. Exposing Saboor’s hilarious acting slip, a fan wrote that it was easily their “favourite” bit from the show. “My favourite bit from the entire show is these guys fighting for life and then the camera pans to Saboor and the girl is out of her character, laughing.”

    Another netizen blamed the editing team for not being “paid enough” to see the slip-up.

    Based on an estranged equation between three friends navigating through love and life, the Marina Khan directorial Mushkil has been a household favourite for various reasons with the top one being Saboor and Khushhal’s chemistry.

I don’t understand why young kids feel insecure of older people,” the actress stated further. I m not answerable to any faceless troll because they never leave any one even after wearing hijab, so stop hurting people it’s also not allowed in Islam.”
