Syeda Alizey Sultan, who has recently divorced actor Feroze Khan, has been outspoken about the physical and mental violence she had suffered during the marriage.
Sultan did an Instagram Q/A session with her followers yesterday and among many things, she opened up about how she overcame the heartbreak and depression, moving on to become a much happier person.
In response to a fan’s question, Sultan said:
“When you have Allah, family, your loved ones and immense love and support from you guys. Then every situation is manageable.”
Sultan also shared an ayat that had helped her cope with difficult times, and said talking to Allah was the best form of therapy for her.
On the prospect of marrying again, Sultan said she would let things happen on their own time rather than rush in to a new thing.
“Marriage is half of your deen and everything happens at its appointed time.”
Sultan then shared the biggest lessons she had learned from her divorce, including being financially independent and remembering to love herself before anyone else.
After only 24 hours of being her own spouse, a woman who claimed to have married herself has said that she is considering getting a divorce. 25-year-old Sofi Maure took to social media in February to inform her fans and followers that she had “married herself”. She also posted pictures donning a white bridal gown and a gold tiara.
“Today, in the most spurious moments of my life, I bought a wedding dress and cooked a wedding cake to marry myself,” she said.

Social media users had strong thoughts about her decision with some supporting Sofi, while others said the whole thing was for “attention”.
Despite the support from some followers, it seems the loved-up solo bride was soon left questioning her commitment – as just a day later, on 20 February, she declared that divorce was imminent.
“Update: one day I’m married to myself and I can’t take it anymore, I’m seeing how the divorce issue is just in case,” she said.
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Sidiqqui has addressed his wife Aaliya’s allegations of the star evicting her out of her house and refusing to grant her custody of her children. She had recorded a video and posted it on Instagram, saying that she and her children were thrown out of the house in the middle of the night.
In a statement posted from his twitter account, Siddiqui revealed that his children were being held hostage by their mother, Aliya, and had not been sent to school for the last 45 days. “Does any one know why my kids are in India and not attending schools for 45 days, wherein the school is sending me letters everyday that it’s been too long an absence. My kids have been made hostage for the past 45 days and are missing their schooling in Dubai,” he wrote.
Siddiqui further went on to address the Aliya’s allegation he had refused to pay child support, and criticized her for blackmailing him for more money in the past.
“She had abandoned the kids in Dubai for the last four months before calling them here on the pretext for demanding money. On average, she is being paid approx 10 lakhs per month for the past two years and 5 to 7 lakhs per month before moving to Dubai with my children, excluding the school fees, medical, travel and other leisure activities. I have also financed her three films costing me crores of rupees, just to help her set up her income stream since she is the mother of my kids. She was given luxurious cars for my kids, but she sold them and spent the money on herself. I have also bought a lavish sea-facing apartment in Versova, Mumbai for my children. Aaliya was made the co-owner of the said apartment as my kids are small. I have given my children a rented apartment in Dubai, where she was also living comfortably. She only wants more money and hence has filed numerous cases against me and my mother. It’s her routine, she has done the same in the past too and withdraws the case when paid as per her demand.”
Siddiqui also replied to claims of child abandonment:
“Whenever my children came to India during their vacation, they used to stay with their grandmother only. How could anyone throw them out of the house? I myself was not in the house during that time. Why didn’t she make a video of being thrown out, whereas she makes a video of every random thing? She has dragged the kids into this drama and she is doing all this to simply blackmail me, malign my reputation, her intent to spoil my career and fulfill her illegitimate demands.”
Siddiqui concluded the note by stating that he loved his two children, and would go to any length in order to secure their well-being and safety:
“Any parent on this planet will never want their kids to miss out on their studies or hamper their future, they will always try to give their best of the best possible things. Whatever I am earning today is all for both of my kids and no person can change this. I love Shora and Yani and I will go to any extent to secure their well-being and their future. I have won all the cases so far and will continue to place my faith in the judiciary. Love is not to hold one back, but to let one fly in the right direction.”
Last week Aliya had accused Siddiqui of abandonment when she uploaded a video on Instagram of her and their two children in the streets, and revealed that they had been left on the road by their own father without any financial expenses or a place to go.
“This is the truth of Nawazuddin Siddiqui,” she had written. “Who did not even spare his own innocent children..when after being in the house for 40 days I stepped out as office bearers at Versova police station called me urgently..but when I went back to the house with my children Nawazuddin siddiqui had deputed a number of guards to not let us in.. me and my children were bruetly left by this man to be on the road.. my daughter could not believe that her own father can do this to her and was howling and crying on the road.”
Bushra Ansari was a guest on Nida Yasir’s talk show where among many things, she opened up about her abusive first marriage and the ways her husband, Iqbal Ansari, restricted her from the things she used to love. Ansari and her ex-husband parted ways after 36 years of marriage. The veteran actress said in the interview that she was quite naive when she got married: “Girls who are around 19 or 20 years old when they’re getting married, it’s not easy for them to stand up for their rights, and most of the time they don’t want to. I believe that young people are very innocent and idealistic, which is why it is easy for an older person to enter their lives and mold them to his taste. Especially it is your parents and other relatives who complain about your bad habits to your husband, and encourage him to keep a strict control over you. But girls are very naive when their getting married, they’re like jelly. But I’m proud of this generation today because women are well-educated and also know how to stand up for themselves.”
Ansari went on to share how she followed the customs of her time to obey and act according to the wishes of her husband, hoping that he might like her and be happy but instead of that, she was expected, all the time, to do what he said.
“He asked that i remove my nose pin, which I loved, but I agreed. He also said don’t wear ghararay on your wedding so I decided to switch to wearing sari’s. Then he also said don’t wear mehndi on your hands on your wedding, I agreed. Even though this wasn’t a twenty year long affair, but we only knew each other for three months and then we got married.”
“I thought that if I would say ‘theek hai jee, aap ki marzi’, then everything would be fine. Because once he is happy, then I would also be happy. Whatever he said, I would do. He said stop going to your friend’s house, I agreed. I thought that he was a temple, and I was running around it. But this was the kind of mindset women from this generation used to follow because they were told this is how they must remain happy in their marriages. I’m not saying you should completely rebel and refuse to be nice to your husband, because sometimes listening to someone’s request is a good thing and they acknowledge you. Otherwise you listen to them once, then they keep expecting you to listen to everything they have to say.”
Ayesha Omar made headlines in both Pakistan and India when her sensual photoshoot with the former Pakistani cricket player Shoaib Malik went viral on social media. Rumors began swirling about estrangement between Malik and his wife, former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, with speculations of a divorce in the works. Omar and Malik became the target of gossip, with stories of the two having an affair which led to the cricketer’s marriage falling apart.
Now on a talk show with Shoaib Akhtar, Omar made it clear that she isn’t interested in married men.
“I will never be attracted to a married or committed man ever. Everyone knows me… that goes without saying,” she said.
When Akhtar asked her about the controversial photoshoot, Omar responded that the rumors of their affair started in India and then arrived in Pakistan.
Previously in 2021, an instagram user had taunted Omar by asking her when she will be getting married to Malik, and she shut down the rumor directly:
“Absolutely now. He is married and is very happy with his wife. I respect Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza a lot. Shoaib is a good friend of mine and also a professional colleague. He respects me a lot as well. There are also relationships like these which don’t revolve around marriages,” wrote the Bulbulay actor.
Actor Imran Ashraf announced last year that he and his wife Kiran Ashfaque had chosen to part ways after four years of marriage. Both had not addressed the reason why they had decided to end their marriage, until now Ashfaque held a Q&A session with her fans on her Instagram stories, where she spoke out about why she had chosen to get a divorce.
When a fan had asked Ashfaque about why she chose to end her marriage to Ashraf, she had responded:
“Not all that glitters is gold.”
Among the other questions, Ashfaque was also asked about whether she had felt insecure and awkward when other people asked her a lot of questions about her divorce, to which she proudly let other women who followed her know that becoming a divorcee isn’t a stain on your identity, and it was empowering to escape a situation that wasn’t helping you grow.
“This will not go on for long. We will keep dealing with it with a smile.”
Other followers also asked her why she had chosen to leave Ashraf to which she had said
“Why don’t you go and ask him yourself.”
One of the common ways society shames women for seeking their independence or for escaping repressive situations is by labelling them as ‘bold’ a term associated with women who refuse to break themselves down for the sake of keeping others happy. When a fan asked Ashfaque about other people calling her bold for choosing to get a divorce, she addressed it in the most badass way.
“I was always a very bold person but I changed myself for someone else. My advise to anyone out there is that they should never change themselves for anyone else.”
Ashfaque also had advice for another woman who asked her how to deal with society’s taunts, after she got divorced when she was 22. Ashfaque replied by telling her that she should never allow other people to dictate her life choices. “Why did you allow them to do that? Never give anyone permission to disrespect you.”
Actor and director Musaddiq Malek has finally opened up about sharing a post on social media against his ‘Habs’ leading man Feroze Khan, amid his domestic abuse controversy.
The Merey Paas Tum Ho star recently spoke to Something Haute where he was asked about his ‘harsh’ post about Feroze, an alleged domestic abuser.
In his post he wrote, “A team of 40 people worked day and night for 100+ days to put up a show with literally blood and sweat, can’t let some ignorant, self-centered, egoistic man ruin that for all of us.”
To this, he replied, “It was my decision to post because domestic abuse is close to me, my aunty was killed by my uncle, so if anyone is involved in even a little abuse, it is a very big thing for me.”
The Habs director further said, “Working with Feroze Khan was a little tough because there were commitments from his side which were not transparent, and he misdirected the team, apart from many occasions where he tried to double-cross me.”
He went on to say that Feroze also tried to meddle with the director’s job, and on numerous occasions, he cried when it wasn’t necessary.
During the interview, he also revealed things about actors and their attitudes toward directors.
“I want to tell people that an actor’s job is a serious job, but which many actors do not take seriously,” he said. “In Hollywood, the actors come to pick the directors, however, in Pakistan, the director has to pamper the actor, then the actor says, ‘I will come to do your scene’. It’s not my scene it’s what you are paid for.”
American rapper Kanye West has been ordered to pay his former wife Kim Kardashian $200,000 (PKR 4.5 crore) per month in child support in a divorce settlement.
The former rapper and reality TV star will share joint custody of their four children.
Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, after eight years with West, who has legally changed his name to Ye.
It comes after several companies cut ties with Ye over controversies including antisemitic comments.
Both parties were declared legally single in March, with Kardashian also dropping “West” from her last name.
Issues around the division of property and custody of their children were resolved in court documents filed on Tuesday.
The two parties should consult with each other on major decisions about their children’s welfare, the documents state.
Expenses for the children’s security, school, and college will be shared.
In addition, Ye is expected to pay $200,000 a month in child support – which the New York Post reported is because the children will spend the majority of their time with Kardashian.
The couple has four children: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
In several statements submitted earlier, Kardashian, 42, had said she “very much” wanted the marriage to be ended, adding that this would “help Kanye to accept” that the relationship was over.
Ye, 45, had previously fought against the separation.
He has faced controversy in recent months and has been dropped by several brands, including Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga.
The rapper provoked widespread criticism earlier this year after attending Paris Fashion Week wearing a t-shirt bearing a “White Lives Matter” slogan – a phrase often used by white supremacists.
He then claimed his critics were being paid by a secret cabal of Jewish people, a common trope of antisemitism.
Earlier this week, Ye announced his intention to run for US president in 2024.
He previously ran in 2020 but gained just 70,000 votes.
The two married in a lavish wedding in Italy in the year 2014.
West has reportedly been living at their home in Wyoming, while Kardashian has stayed in California with their children.
The couple met in the early 2000s, but it would be years before they became romantically involved.
West interviewed his wife for Vogue Arabia and asked her about the first time they met.
“This was before you released your first album and you were known as a music producer. I was really shy. You thought I was (singer) Brandy’s assistant, which I wasn’t,” Kardashian West recalled. “Ever since you said that, it’s everywhere … like ‘Kim is Brandy’s assistant.’ I was her friend and stylist. I thought you were attractive, nice, very charming, really funny, powerful — I was in awe of you, but I was really shy, quiet, and a little nervous, to be honest.”
Both had high-profile relationships before they went public with their love in 2012.
West famously proposed to Kardashian by renting out a sports stadium and hiring an orchestra, as her family watched from nearby — all of which was documented and shared on the family’s popular E! reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
The couple have four children together. Daughter North was born in 2013, followed by a son, Saint, in 2015, daughter, Chicago, in 2018, and son, Psalm, in 2019.
“Gratitude and happiness best describe what my wife means to me,” he wrote. “I’m deeply grateful and purely happy.”
Kardashian, for her part, has also often spoke out in defense of her husband, who has been open about his struggles with bipolar disorder and stirred controversy with his provocative tweets and political views.
Last summer, Kim sought understanding from the public in a social media post.
“I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions,” she wrote in a statement shared on social media.
“He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder. Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words some times do not align with his intentions.”
Earlier, the couple wanted to keep their split under the radar and were in settlement talks but now they are done.
Actor Sana Fakhar has officially announced her divorce from her husband Fakhar jaffri after fourteen years of marriage.
Taking it to her Instagram account, she officially announced the news. Sana wrote: “Breakups hurt. But sometimes breaking a relationship is so mandatory to save yourself to break so much. With all the respect me and Fakhar after several years of marriage through highs and lows decided to take a separate path.”
“It’s heartbreaking but… I strongly believe that God has better plans for both of us. All the best Fakhar Jaffri, concluded Sana.”
The duo got married in 2008 and have been together for 14 years. The couple was known to be the most stable couples from the film fraternity. Sana and Fakhar are parents to two sons.
Last year Sana responded to criticism and backlash she received for sharing a PDA-filled picture with her former husband on his birthday.
The post in which Sana had wished her husband on his birthday and thanked him “for reminding [her] how butterflies feel like,” had irked the moral brigade who heavily criticised the veteran actor, forcing her to limit the comments section on her post.
Later, responding to the backlash and hate, Fakhar in an Instagram live video said: “I can understand your pain and agony.”
“But what is it that you didn’t appreciate?” she continued. “The ‘act’? Or the person I did the said act with? It was too much. But thank you, though. I think criticism is your right. Whatever you wanted to say, you did. But it’s fine.”
She went on to say that she doesn’t really mind what people thought about the picture.
“What you say, the kind of words you use, really says a lot about the way you have been brought up. I was called names, abused over a picture. But I received love more than hate.”
“I do believe that even criticism is a form of love. It’s just a part of life,” Fakhar added.
The Lollywood heroine went on to say: “Haters don’t exist in my life. I only have love around me. I even have respect for people who discuss anything about me. Whatever you share, please do. I don’t mind. You have that access into my life and I am the one who gave you the said access. We aren’t angels. It’s not the end of the world if you abused me.”
Sana concluded her live video saying that instead of paying heed to the hate, she has decided to love the people who admire her to be the best version of herself.
Model Alyzeh Gabol and entrepreneur Zoraiz Malik have been blessed with a baby boy. The duo shared some adorable pictures of her newborn on social media. The picture shows Zoraiz kissing the forehead of his newly born baby.
Earlier this year, Zoraiz Malik taking to his official Instagram account revealed the news that he and model Alyzeh Gabol are expecting their first child together and both haven’t parted ways.
Even Gabol shared that, “All these rumours about our personal life are not true. This is just malicious gossip being spread by some vicious social media pages who have been posting fake/paid news.”
However post the couple’s announcement of their son, Zoraiz’s mother Aasia Aamer shamed Alyzeh on her Instagram stories. Aasia alleged Alyzeh of being a homewrecker and a gold digger.
