Police arrest man sitting in aitekaaf for stealing clothes

In a strange robbery case, police have arrested a suspect for allegedly stealing clothes from a tailor’s shop in district Layyah, Geo has reported on Tuesday.
The police arrested the man from a local mosque where he was observing aitekaaf.

The police confirmed that the suspect, along with his accomplice, stole clothes from a tailor’s shop in Moti Bazar.
At least 12 suits were recovered from the suspect, the police added.

Cases of theft increase around Eid. Last year, thieves stole 70 animals meant for sacrifice before Eid ul Adha in Karachi.
The stolen animals included mostly cows and goats, which are apparently relatively easier to steal, than camels.

President Dr Arif Alvi offered Eid prayers in his Karachi hometown at the Tooba Masjid.

“I pray to Allah Almighty to accept the Ibadah, Haj and sacrifices of the Pakistani nation and the Muslim Ummah. Amen!”

“Eidul Azha reminds us of the submission and obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) before the command of Allah Almighty,” said President Alvi.

Shehbaz said: “Allah Almighty made sacrifice an extraordinary ritual to show immense admiration for the obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). The real meaning of sacrifice is obedience and submission to Allah. Allah sees the intention of His obedient men and on that basis gives the reward.”

According to the government’s official Twitter account, the prime minister telephoned the president and congratulated him on Eid-ul-Azha. Alvi also congratulated Shehbaz and “the two leaders expressed goodwill towards each other”.

  • ‘It’s a sacrifice, not slaughter’: Anoushey Ashraf raises awareness on animal cruelty, Adnan Malik lauds

Anoushey Ashraf has urged netizens to respect and love their animal of sacrifice this Eid-ul-Azha. The Sehra mein Safar actress also requested people to sacrifice their animals in the the most “humane way possible”.

“Closing in on that time of the year where I always reach out to those on my Instagram urging them to care, respect and love their animal of sacrifice to the absolute fullest. A few things; Please make sure to remember it’s a ‘sacrifice’ NOT ‘slaughter’ and it takes place in the most humane way possible,” said Anoushey in an Instagram post.

“Don’t make children run the blade on the animal please. The qasai should be a thorough professional, if the animal experiences discomfort, pain and severe distress you’re doing it wrong. There are gentle manuals on it. The knives should be so sharp that the animal shouldn’t feel any pain,” she added.

The Saanp Seehri diva discouraged the trend of recording the sacrifice process.

Sadqay Tumharay star Adnan Malik thanked Anoushey for, “encouraging compassion, integrity and intention”.
