    ‘My moral responsibility’: Bushra Ansari defends ex-husband amid backlash

    Renowned actress Bushra Ansari recently talked about why she defends her ex-husband, Iqbal Ansari, against criticism.

    During a recent appearance on ‘Good Morning Show with Nida Yasir’ alongside her daughter, Bushra discussed her career, personal life, and her relationship with Iqbal Ansari.

    The veteran actress explained that she doesn’t allow anyone to speak badly about her ex-husband. She mentioned that people often unfairly label him as harsh or a bad husband, blaming him for their failed marriage.

    “I believe it’s my moral responsibility to stop people from saying anything against Iqbal Ansari,” Bushra said. “If someone tries to say something negative about him in my presence, I immediately shut it down.”

    She also highlighted that Iqbal is the father of her daughters and has always been a loving and supportive parent. Despite the issues in their relationship, she emphasized that he has always been there for his daughters.

    Bushra also pointed out that people often pass judgments and comments on social media, which she finds inappropriate. She stressed that the issues between her and Iqbal were personal, and no one had the right to speak badly about him.

    Anti-corruption establishment arrests Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband, Khawar Maneka, from Airport

    The ex-husband of Bushra Bibi, Khawar Farid Manika, has been arrested at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Monday.

    Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested Khawar Manika and handed him over to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

    The ex-husband of the former first lady was leaving for Dubai when FIA officials arrested him at the airport, as his name is on the Exit Control List (ECL). After that, ACE registered a case against him.

    Khawar Manika is known as a spiritual devotee of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar and is originally from Pakpatan. Manika has also served as an officer in the Custom Department.

    Maneka has three daughters and two sons with his ex-wife, Bushra Bibi.

    Sania Khan, a South-Asian woman from Chicago who used to document events reflecting her abusive marriage and talked about her experience of divorce, was murdered by her ex-husband.

    Her ex-husband, Raheel Ahmed, killed her and then committed suicide by shooting himself.

    The family of the man had reported him missing from the Atlanta suburb.

    According to two of Sania’s friends, the divorce was finalised in May. The police found a suicide note near Ahmed’s body.

    Who was Sania Khan?

    Sania Khan was a wedding photographer by profession. She also used to post her work on TikTok videos. “Ever since I can remember, photography has been a huge part of my identity. My life truly began the day I purchased my first DSLR. I wouldn’t know it at the time but it would forever change me,” she wrote on her website.

    However, her most recent uploads from June mainly concentrated on the situation with her divorce. She posted videos that talked about an abusive relationship with her ex-husband.

    The text of one of the videos Sania posted read, “Going through a divorce as a South Asian woman feels like you have failed at life sometimes.”

    Is Jemima’s new movie about her relationship with PM Khan?

    Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith has recently opened up about her film What’s Love Got To Do With It?, which is  reportedly based on her own life and experiences in Pakistan.

    The movie a rom-com which unfolds the love life of two inter-cultural childhood best friends. The story is set between London and South Asia. Moreover, two different people from two different cultures and customs fall in love and then get married.

    Jemima, in an interview said: “When I went to Pakistan I probably had the same views as the rest of my friends about the concept of arranged marriage, which is that it is a mad, outdated idea. But I came back after ten years with a slightly different view, whereby I could see some merits to it.’’

    She had also revealed in the same interview that it took her ten years to write and rewrite the script of the movie.

    Recently Studiocanal and Working Title released the first look of the movie on December 9 and it showcases aspects of cultural mixing with a man in a kurta and a woman in a leather jacket standing inside a wedding hall.

    Pakistan’s superstar Sajal Aly is starring in the movie alongside India’s veteran actress Shabana Azmi, English actor Lily James from Baby Driver and Darkest Hour, Oscar winner Emma Thompson from Beauty and the Beast, Bridget Jones’s Baby and British actor Shazad Latif from Star Trek: Discovery among others.

    The movie is set to release in cinemas worldwide in 2022.
