Fahad Mustafa was not joking when he said that Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad will have ‘Mission Impossible type’ stunts – because BTS images and videos hint that the film is packed with a lot of action.
Mahira Khan recently shared a video of herself riding a bike with the caption: “I learned how to ride a bike for Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. This video was my second day of lessons…so you can imagine how good I actually am.”
https://www.instagram.com/p/CFUr3LDpKZV/
“I also got a certificate after completing all my lessons,” she added. The actor also shared that she was mentored by trainers at the Pink Riders Pakistan, an institute that helps women across the country learn how to ride motorbikes.
Addressing her co-star Fahad, Mahira also said: “Ajaa meri motor bike pe beth ja.”
In response, Fahad remarked, “Helmet khareed loon. Let me think about it, Mahira. Gira na dena.”
The film’s director Nabeel Qureshi commented that Mahira should have put a song behind the video.
Meanwhile, Mahira’s friends Adeel Hussain and Aima Baig admired the actor’s motorcycle driving skills.
Mahira’s upcoming film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad was scheduled to hit screens on Eidul Azha but because of the coronavirus lockdown, its release was delayed. Latest reports have suggested that the film’s makers are eyeing a December 2020 release now.
Fahad Mustafa, Yasir Hussain and Iqrar ul Hassan Syed have extended their support to Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed after they received backlash for shooting part of their upcoming music video at Lahore’s historical Wazir Khan Mosque.
Iqrar ul Hassan requested all his followers to accept Saba and Bilal’s apologies and said that Bilal’s respect in his eyes has increased after his apology message. Fahad later retweeted Iqrar’s tweet and urged everyone to forgive and move on.
Yasir Hussain also extended his support to his Lahore Se Aagay co-star and called out trolls spreading hate.
Shafaat Ali also voiced his support, though he did not explicitly name anyone.
There is a selective hatred against almost all Actors/Singers/Artists in general in Pakistan. People follow them, yet look down upon them. People always love to spew hatred towards them. They just need a chance.
Last weekend, Saba and Bilal found themselves in hot water after they released the teaser of their upcoming music video Qubool Hai. Part of the music video, which has been directed by Saba herself, has been shot inside Wazir Khan Mosque upsetting the public, who demanded strict action be taken against those who allowed the video to be shot inside the mosque.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar also took notice of the incident following which the Punjab Auqaf department suspended the manager of Masjid on Sunday. According to reports, the CM sought a report from the minister concerned and the department’s secretary on the matter.
“The mosque is the holiest place and no one can be allowed to trample upon its sanctity. Whosoever is found responsible will not be spared,” an official handout quoted the chief minister as saying.
After severe criticism and backlash, Bilal, in a video message apologised for hurting the public’s sentiments and clarified that they did not dance or record any music in the mosque.
“We realise what has happened over the past few days has hurt your sentiments deeply,” says Bilal in the video. “We as Muslims, as decent human beings and as artists will never, ever trivialize or condone disrespect to Islam or any other religion, race, caste, colour or creed. If we have unknowingly hurt anyone’s sentiments we apologise to you all with all our heart.”
He continued: “Alhamdulilah I am a Muslim and I was raised in a Muslim household. I cannot even think about doing something that would disrespect my religion. I solemnly affirm in the name of Allah that neither did we play any music in the mosque and nor did we dance and the witness to that is the management of the mosque.”
Referring to the clip in which he is twirling Saba, Saeed said: “There was a move that we did for the sake of the photoshoot. We were not following any dance sequence and neither was there any music playing in the background. We understand that we have unintentionally made a mistake and we are acknowledging our mistake.”
“Saba Qamar and I, are just humans like the rest of us and to err is human,” he further said. “As a Muslim, if I was in your place, maybe I would also think the same. So we also apologise to you, and hope that you can let this go. As a realisation on our part, I am also removing the entire sequence from the video, and assure you that we won’t make such mistakes in the near future.”
“I had never imagined my name would be associated with something like this. As a Muslim, I am extremely regretful of this and apologise on behalf of all of us, including Saba and our entire team,” he concluded.
Earlier, Saba had also clarified that “this is also the only sequence that was shot at the historical Wazir Khan Mosque” and is a prologue to the music video.
“The BTS video that’s making rounds on social media was just a circular movement to click stills for the poster of ‘Qubool’ depicting a happily married couple right after their Nikah. Hurting or offending anyone or being disrespectful to a holy place is as unimaginable and unacceptable for me as for any decent human being,” she had said.
Later, Humayun celebrated his day with his boys gang which included Adnan Siddiqui, Nadeem Baig, Asim Jofa, Farhan Saeed and Imran Ashraf.

Wishing our favourite actor a very happy birthday! If it was not for COVID-19, we would have been seeing Humayun on the big screen this Eid ul Azha in London Nahi Jaunga.
After the prices of petrol were drastically increased, actor and game show host Fahad Mustafa tweeted to Prime Minister Imran Khan, asking if he [Fahad] made the right decision about voting for PTI in the 2018 elections.
“Sir I know running a country is not an easy job but what happened to (Yeh Koi Rocket Science Nahi) you kept telling us that when you were in the opposition. Please tell me if I made the right decision voting you?,” asked Fahad.
@ImranKhanPTI Sir i know running a country is not an easy Job but what happened to (Yeh Koi Rocket Science Nahi) you kept telling us that when you were in the opposition. Plz tell me if i made the right decision voting you ?
Many people, including celebrities, are criticising the government for raising petrol prices.
Petrol mafia . Water mafia . Electricity mafia .. unemployment.. currency devaluations..corona crisis ..sugar mafia … atta mafia and much more … devastating 2 years let’s see what more is coming ..
The #PetrolPrice increase indicates that the Petrol Pumps and companies that were holding back their stock knew this was coming. This also means the governments inability to implement the smooth delivery of fuel when the prices were at RS 74. Answers needed!! @ImranKhanPTI
Veena Malik, who vehemently defends PM Khan and his government, also took to Twitter and wrote: “Khan Sahab awaam pooch rahi hai ub thora ghabra lein? (Khan Sahab, people are asking if we can panic a little now).”
خان صاحب عوام پوچھ رہی ہے اب تھوڑا گھبرا لیں؟ #PetrolPrice

Inna lillah e wa inna elaihi rajio’on… such sad news… a legend departs… an era ends… generations grew up with him… Nation and PTV should pay the deserving homage. https://t.co/Zz3Yr8L4TN
Born in 1936 in Jalandhar, Aziz began his professional career from Radio Pakistan Lahore and was one of the most recognisable voices on the radio. Later, he joined PTV, where he not only became the state-owned television’s first announcer, he also became popular for his work on PTV’s Quiz Show Neelam Ghar, first aired in 1974. The show was later renamed the Tariq Aziz Show and also known as Bazm-e-Tariq Aziz.
Aziz’s unique hosting skills on Neelam Ghar made him a household name in Pakistan over the past four decades in the country.

Other than that, Aziz was also a poet and a film actor – he was part of several films over the course of his career. He also featured in the super hit musical Salgira (1969), which went on to win two Nigar Awards that year.
Aziz was also a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan between 1997 and 1999.
He was awarded Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 1992 for his services to the nation.
The teaser poster of Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa’s upcoming film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad is out.
The lead cast of the film including Mahira and Fahad as well as the director of the film Nabeel Qureshi and producer Fizza Ali Meerza shared the poster on social media with the caption “Kabhi socha hai note per Quaid-e-Azam ki tasveer kyun hai (Ever thought why there is a picture of Quaid-e-Azam on the [rupee] note?”
Kabhi socha hai note per Quaid-e-Azam ki tasveer kyun hai ?
While the makers of the film did not share further details, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad is expected to hit theatres on Eid ul Azha but given the current situation, it is unclear if the film will be releasing as per schedule. However, the shoot for the film has wrapped up and it is currently in the post-processing phase. Qureshi, while speaking to various media outlets, had earlier said that the team of the film is working on the film from home and they hope to release it as per schedule.
As to what the film will be about, Qureshi had shared that the film will be a satirical action-comedy – something along the lines of their previous film Actor in Law.
She was recently invited as a live caller on Jeeto Pakistan League, where Mahira was the celebrity guest, and while speaking to the host Fahad Mustafa, couldn’t resist roasting her daughter, much to the actor’s surprise.
When Fahad asked Mahira’s mother what Adnan Siddiqui was doing wrong on the show, she replied, “Yeh mujhe nahi pata magar meri beti nihayat confused insaan hai (I don’t know this, but my daughter is a very confused person).”
Her comments sent everyone present into a fit of laughter. But she was still not done roasting Mahira.
She continued, “Yeh jhoot bol rahe hai. Yeh nihayat jhooti insaan hai. She’s just going to confuse you.”
In response, Adnan said, “Thank you Aunty. You made my day.”
Later, when Fahad asked Mahira’s mother what the other celebrity contestant Waseem Badami was doing wrong, she was all praises for him and said she was very fond of him.

Meanwhile, Humayun Saeed thanked Mahira for being on the show.
Following social media outrage and backlash, Adnan Siddiqui has now apologised to former captain of the Pakistan cricket team Sarfaraz Ahmed for ‘mocking’ him.
On the latest episode of Jeeto Pakistan, when Sarfaraz entered, Adnan said that he wanted to say something. In response, the host Fahad Mustafa joked “Pehlay in say pooch lein agar aap kuch sunana chahatay hain (First ask him [Sarfaraz] if wants to listen).”
Sarfaraz quipped, “No, no, there is nothing to say.”
When Adnan insisted, Fahad said, “Aap meray, Sarfaraz kay, humaray baray hain. Aap humain thappar bhi maarein gay toh humain koi faraq nahi parhay ga (You are our senior. Even if you slap us it won’t bother us).”
“Ignore these unnecessary things,” Fahad continued. “We apologise to you that people make up such stories.”
However, Adnan did not stop and said, “Sarfaraz, I apologise to you, your fans, your family and your friends. I swear I did not mean to do anything which would hurt him. Or his friends.”
“Mitti pao, mitti pao,” remarked Fahad.
Sarfaraz then quipped, “Adnan Bhai you don’t need to say anything. I am not upset at all.”
Adnan was accused of ‘mocking’ his fellow captain Sarfaraz in an earlier episode of the game show outraging the cricketer’s fans, who took to social media to express their anger.
Last weekend, Nabeel Qureshi, the director of Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan’s upcoming film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, teased fans with a sneak peek of the film sending fans into a frenzy.
The director shared behind-the-scenes pictures of Fahad suspended mid-air on a crane and wrote: “Preparing for some action-packed sequence with Fahad and Mahira”.
Later while speaking to a local media outlet, Fahad shared that the film will have some “very dangerous action bike sequences”.
He said: “Action sequences in movies are either stylish or realistic. We have tried to be as realistic as we can with the action sequences in Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad.”
Fahad further said that the film will feature action sequences that have never been tried before in Pakistan and that he performed all the stunts himself.
“We have tried to pull off Mission Impossible type stuff in Pakistan with Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad,” said the actor. “I endured multiple injuries while performing these stunts. My heel was injured throughout the course of filming and I couldn’t even walk properly but still, I did all the stunts myself and no double was used.”
The shoot for the film has wrapped up and it is currently in the post-processing phase. Director Nabeel Qureshi, while speaking to various media outlets, shared that the team of the film is working on the film from home and they hope to release it as per schedule i.e. on Eid ul Azha.
A week after he criticised Aamir Liaquat for being callous with his remarks, Adnan Siddiqui has found himself in hot water after a clip of him mocking former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed went viral on social media. The clip which is from an episode of Jeeto Pakistan which aired on May 4, shows Adnan ridiculing Sarfaraz’s speech as they compete with each other on the show.
Adnan’s actions enraged fans who took to social media to call out the actor and remind him that just a few days ago he was condemning Liaquat for being rude.
Is this the same Adnan Siddiqui who condemned Amir Liaquat’s crass joke? https://t.co/VgOSv9PfVs
Adnan Siddiqui posted a note saying he regret being on the show with Amir Liaquat where he said some things in a very bad taste but he himself was mocking @SarfarazA_54 for his accent on @fahadmustafa26 show. This is disrespectful.
Saw some clips from Jeeto Pakistan in which Sarfraz was offended by Adnan Siddiqui. The arrogance Adnan showed throughout the episode is something really disgusting, every time Sarfraz would speak he would be offensive. Must say sorry!
#AdnanSiddiqui is a living example of hypocrisy. A week ago he condemned Amir liaquat on a ‘joke’. Few days later he’s being extremely rude and disrespectful towards Sarfaraz Ahmad (while trying to be funny).
Such a mature actor #adnansiddiqui and he treated #sarfrazahmad on a show very impolitely and rudely. Shaming someone just bcz of his/her/their physical appearance, way of talking, height, weight, etc must be https://t.co/E2rA7ORrOW‘s bullying, and it kills souls.
Both Sarfaraz and Adnan are team captains in the Jeeto Pakistan League. While Sarfaraz is the captain of Quetta Knights, Adnan is the captain of Lahore Falcons. Adnan, Sarfaraz nor the team of Jeeto Pakistan have responded to the controversy as yet.
Watch the full episode below. For the interaction between Adnan and Sarfaraz, watch 1:20:00 onwards. It is pertinent to add here that Adnan’s actions sent Sarfaraz into a fit of laughter and the cricketer did not seem offended by Adnan’s actions.
