Police forcefully got semen from Qari Abubakar Muawiyah, says lawyer

A video of Qari Abubakar Muawiyah’s lawyer has emerged online where he is claiming that his client was drugged by the police in Shahdra. He alleged that the police then forcefully took his sperm while Qari Muawiyah was unconscious.

The lawyer further added that his detained client is being tricked into another case in Shahdra where it is being said that he molested a child, taking him to a graveyard. However, he asserted that Qari Muawiyah has never been to the place.

A cleric, arrested for allegedly trying to molest child in Faisalabad, is now free because of the intervention of religious cleric, Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer.

Cleric Abubakar Muawiyah was accused of child molestation, when a video of him being lambasted by the police officer for allegedly molesting a child went viral. In the video, Muawiyah is seen offering an explanation that the child was just ‘massaging his feet’.

But many are not accepting his explanation. According to social activist Syed Zaighum Kazmi, “Mowlana Abubakar Muawiyah from Deoband school of thought and active member of banned outfit Sipah e Sahaba caught red handed while rapping a 12 year boy from his own Madrasa.”

    THE FIR

In the FIR, the child’s father Mudassar, stated that his child went missing after prayer and when he went out to find him, he heard his son’s cries from an adjacent house. As he barged in the cleric Muawiyah was naked, holding a gun and trying to rape Mudassar’s son. According to Mudassar, when Muawiyah saw that people had discovere him, he ran away from the location threatening them with a gun.

    INTERVENTION

Upon the intervention of an esteemed scholar Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Muawiyah has been forgiven by the father of the child for “Allah ki Raza”.

Anchor Shahzad Iqbal programme on Geo ‘Naya Pakistan’ Allama Zaheer said because the child was not raped, ‘a margin should be given to the alleged convict’. Zaheer said that he has talked to the parent of the child and clarified that this was due to a ‘misunderstanding and things are sorted’.

Journalist Shehzad Iqbal highlighted that this is against the law since the FIR is already registered and the matter should be investigated.

Muawiyah, upon his release, was seen saying that he is grateful to Allah because he is exonerated ‘with respect’.

Meanwhile, human rights activist Nadia Jamil has requested Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to take notice. “We must put an end to this. Begging you to take stern notice and make an example of this perverted criminal and allow this young boy and his family to access mental health support to help over come the trauma he has been through,” pleaded Nadia.

I’ve signed a paper saying I won’t play Momo’s character anywhere else: Hina Dilpazeer

During a recent Ramadan show, Pakistani actress Hina Dilpazeer, famous for playing the beloved character of Mumtaz, also known as Momo, in the popular sitcom ‘Bulbulay,’ revealed something surprising. She said she’s not allowed to play the ditzy Momo anywhere else. This includes not just on TV or in movies, but also at events or award shows. It’s part of her contract.

Momo’s character is an older lady who’s sweet but forgetful. She often forgets names, even of her own family and everyday things around the house. Her mix-ups and funny mistakes are loved by viewers. When she messes up, she says “oof” and puts her hand on her forehead, which has become a famous reaction on the show.

Talking about her situation, Dilpazeer said, “I have it written down that I can’t play this character (Momo) anywhere else. Yes, I did a commercial where I was asked if I could play Momo, and they said yes, but it was only for the commercial.”

Apart from Dilpazeer, the main cast of Bulbulay includes Nabeel, Ayesha Omar, and Mehmood Aslam. The show debuted in 2009 and has become one of Pakistan’s most successful TV series. It holds the record for being the longest-running TV show in the country.
Momo’s character has gained a big fanbase over time, becoming one of Pakistan’s most loved and well-known TV characters. Her funny timing and actions have made her popular with viewers of all ages, making Dilpazeer’s role a key part of Bulbulay’s success.

Talking about Momo, she praised the writer Ali Rehman for creating such a great character and her funny chemistry with on-screen son Nabeel. Since they had worked together before, it was a lot of fun. “A lot of times, we had to do multiple takes,” reminisced Dilpazeer, “which would often irritate Khoobsurat (Ayesha Omar) because Nabeel, Mehmood, and I would constantly laugh at each other’s gestures and cues.”

Clashes between PTI workers and police amid general elections

Clashes have been reported between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and police officers, after imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan gave calls for rallies ahead of the February 8 general elections.

Numerous PTI supporters attempting to organize rallies in cities like Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar were taken into custody during the crackdown, adding to mounting political tension. Reports also indicate police raids on election offices, confiscation of party paraphernalia, and the removal of banners and panaflexes, allegedly aimed at intimidating party workers and voters.

In Lahore, former Punjab governor and PTI candidate for NA-129, Mian Muhammad Azhar, was arrested by the police during an attempt to lead an election rally in his constituency. He was reportedly released later in the day.

Despite the challenges, Mian Muhammad Azhar, upon his release, maintained that he had not committed any crime, asserting that his sole offense was organizing an election rally. He highlighted the apparent disparity in treatment, alleging that all political parties were allowed to conduct rallies and public gatherings, except the PTI.

Violent clashes erupted between PTI workers and the police, turning the area into a battleground.
